i dont know if they changed the seating this year...

EDIT: anybody notice the guy looking for his seat is gone? i wouldve changed him to that beer selling guy instead from a few years ago...

Anyway, what I absolutely love about this vid, is that there are alot of hurried, wild shots taken.....and most of 'em missed.
Someone mentioned how based of the 2k video D fish handled the ball too much which meant the playbooks werent authentic but hell in that video D fish was getting his Chris Paul on... but I do think that this will be a great year of b-ball no matter what game you get cause there was a sequence qwith Kobe in the paint trying to get the shot in and finally getting a tip in lay up that look really nice in that video as well ...

I'm not buying this if the perimeter game stinks again.

Last year, if you tried to play Kobe the way Kobe actually plays, you'd spend the entire game ice cold. Dude takes 80% of his shots as jumpers, and most of those are extremely difficult shots.

Won't truly know until the demo drops...

I made that observation earlier in the thread, Im a die hard laker fan I havent missed a game in 6 years, with that said... D Fish doesnt not initiate the lakers offense at ALL, Kobe does, and if you look at the 2k Vid you will notice Kobe will get the Offense started then go down to the post for a screen and then pop out looking to score.. Ive scene this scenario in real life for real, the only thing live did that was accurate in that vid was the players stood in a triangle formation, but they didnt run the offense. Also if you look at the 2k Vid you can see Phil Jackson doing his signature "whistle" and waving his hands, the lakers sit down after the first made basket, on Live it seems like they are standing the whole game.

naw 2k jus jacked up the court.....and like someone else stated, the halfcourt line aint yellow....you'd think they get the court of the nba champs right. You know the Lakers will be the most played with team and they got it wrong....along with their organ and chants.

This

you don't have to tear one down to build the other up. In understanding be men!!!!!!

That said 2k has always been about subtle details . As such you really won't know what you have until you play it a good while. I like this. LOT better than the first video last year.

inros took me back to dreamcast days. Loved it. As I said with the other game it's probably not going to be perfect. If you can live with what it does not do well you will probably have a he'll of a game on your hands

@pared
excellent post on the differences !!!

I don't like those one handed jump passes in 2K at all. They need to go. You don't see those too often in the NBA.

Shaq (his body type/size) looks a bit odd to me.

Play by play/color commentary sounds waaay better.

Loved seeing Kobe taking advantage of his size in the post. Actually backing his defender down. Great sign.

Looks solid, but I need to see more gameplay videos. Nothing wowed me.

tiny head...ive noticed that a few of the players suffer from this...probably because of the new head models they have but still they couldve enlarged em just a wee bit...was that nit picky? lol

the only player that looks to be in proportion is D Fisher...

This has to be the most ridiculous statement I've read. 2K basketball play closest to the real game?

Explain how a individual can complete a series of move, 360 spins, crossovers, behind the back dribbles, ect. while not even moving a single inch until they force their way into the paint for a dunk.

Street Ball is not NBA Basketball.

If i recall Lebron suffered from this last year but after a roster update his head was more in proportion with his body...so i wouldnt worry about this...unless they drastically change the coding or something due to the new facial animations and stuff....

# 196 DC @ 09/22/09 01:16 PM
So you are saying they changed the size of LeBron's head through a roster update?

yeah...i remember someone pointing that out...i just dont remember where i read it though...unless they just changed his body from buff to skinny to make it look more proportion..

One thing Live did great this year is add signature DRIBBLING moves and crossovers - players in Live actually MOVE like themselves - looking at these 2k10 vids, all the players pretty much dribble the same and like I said there are no size-up moves or one-on-one moves AT ALL. 2k completely lacks the 1-on-1 game. 1-on-1 play is a big part of nba basketball, but 2k has completely ignored it for years.
Wow, 2k has no 1 on 1 game...sounds to me like someone just doesn't know the controls.....sluggish and lack of control....I will agree that you sometimes get locked in an animation, but that's only when someone is cheesing or playing overly aggressive on either end. You know when people start trying to dribble past the entire defense with kobe, etc. I honestly have no idea how you could think there's a lack of control and no 1 on 1 game unless you simply just don't know how to perform the moves and what triggers them. It's called depth, something Live's controls lack. Post moves, the cross over, iso motion moves. It's all there but like I said you apparently just don't know how to use them.

I felt the same way. I must be use to the original angle that 2K normally uses.
