Madden 2010 News Post

Check out the new Madden NFL 10 blog. This one features the importance of an early community day.

Quote:
"On April 10, we flew in 8 of the most hardcore Madden fans for a marathon testing day to get an extremely early look at our Alpha build and provide feedback based on where the game is thus far. You may ask, “What is new about this? Haven’t you had community events in the past?” Yes, we have done these before, but there are some key differences."

Videos will answer alot of these questions.....I think it will be extremely unlikely that they would have caught up with APF on the sheer quantity and quality of animations. But I think the fluidness and variety of Madden's animations will play a big part in how the general public perceives Madden.

The animations are not something we can talk about yet. Although we might be bursting to tell you.

So all they need to do with that is swap out the animation sets. If they get all of the plays I have for them swapped out with smoother animation sets then I anticipate some really nice schemes. My idea is for you to simply audible to a blitz without having do much setting up at all.

Damn, this was what I was afraid of by sending Lbz up there. I will never be able to beat him now.

In all seriousness though, all this is terrific if they put the offensive measures in there to counter it.....especially for more unexperienced gamers.

Both DT's were 1) standing up; 2) bumping into each other. So I actually demonstrated a little bit of how it should work. Ian grabs his laptop and pulls up the tools. We are sitting there examining animations and which ones we can swap out to get this thing working right. Adembrowski comes over and we are all three looking at options.

We finally come up with a very well animated twist stunt by the Defensive Tackles (for the most part). Ian says, hold on about 15 mins and I should have it loaded up in your build. He loaded it up and the twist stunt with the DT's worked a hell of a lot better. The looper is still going a tad bit further than I would like, but the penetrator is doing his stunt perfectly. Man this would make Defense matter more, this is what makes the Giants DE package so good they perform there stunts very well and the Titans did good with this. I'm really excited about this.

WOW! Thanks for helping to make the front 7 a difference maker!!!!

I asked adembroski but can you answer this also?

Can you answer this?

Does the defense attack the way they should or do they still run right to a blocker? In real life a defender like a DE is trying to get around the LT any way he can not run right in to him and be blocked. The defense should dictate how the blockers will react not the other way around don't you think?

Quick question please tell me a rb does not block a linemen straight up. I don't know how many times I saw reggie bush blow up one of my bigger players, A guy his size should be cutting them or just gettin pushed out of the way.

Someone else might have the answer, I did use my backs to help in protection, but I never stopped to replay it All I know is I had time in the pocket and got the ball off.

I'm limited in how I can answer it, but I'll say it this way, I wasn't suctioned. I will say this too, of all the games I played I played everyone and every down at ILB and it felt really damn good.

Pretty much sums it up.

Preach!!!! Church!!! Hallelujah! lol....

I've been waiting for someone to finally say it. The man has been sipping on some haterade. I just wanna say that he's lost every ounce of credibility in my book.

This was a big game breaker to me and a exploit. Say you're in a cover 3 zone a guy sends his wr and TE on a 1 yard curl route and then sends his outside wr on a 10 yard in so the lb will stretch his zone leaving the te or slot wr wide open. Is this fixed?

I think I know why, When watching madden nation I heard he was supposed to be this top sim player but I guess his feelings got hurt because he wasn't picked as one of the sim guys for the community day.
