Yes.... the 2nd one seems only one out of ordinary. I've seen this happen many times in my RTTS save which is currently in 2019 season. This has been around since before patch..

Yeah I kinda agree with you but with the DP turn there wasn't any need to make a jump throw like that, as you can see in the replay Bautista was still no where near the base when the ball reached the 1B and the baserunning was kinda dumb to as he was well out
And then when he held onto the ball it just made me question the other plays

Overall after playing several franchise games post patch. I love the update overall. The game still plays fantastic, but is more balanced now in regards to hitting. I am still getting incredible ball physics, hit variety etc. But now oppo bombs are a lot less frequent, and earned with better power hitters.
Something I think they do need to look at though is steal success. It is seriously brutal to get SB's this year. And I don't have an issue with the entire strategy of it. But top base swipers should get better jumps. I am testing things and think I may have found a slider cocktail to improve the success ratio. But I think they may have over compensated making it harder this year just a little bit in an effort to reduce online cheese and it has bled into those of us who play simulation style offline franchise.
However I will say this. When stealing bases. You really need a guy who can motor and has not only excellent speed, but a high base stealing rating. Then you need to:
1) Check the player quirks for pick off artist (if they don't have it get that extra step lead) See if you are a base thief as well.
2) Know better counts, pitcher patterns and pick up on their patterns. Stealing on a 0-2, 1-2 count is far more ideal than a 3-1 or 2-0 count. You will more than likely get a junk or off speed pitch on a pitcher count and have a better shot at success.
3) AI is better at pitch outs and knowing you are feared base swiper. So watch yourself!!
I do love the cat and mouse game. It is on a new level. But I still think the jump modifier should be a little better for higher rated base stealers.
Just something to think about for a future update.
I think there's too many pickoffs. With Jarrod Dyson on base, I'll have multiple at bats where the pitcher throws 2 pickoffs in the same at bat. I don't think pitchers are going to give up so many balls like that.
Did anyone confirm if you have to restart your franchise to get the patch updates to work? For example if i'm already 20 games in to a season and i want to have the patch fixes put in do i need to restart?

Ok something is clearly very wrong here
I went back and continued this game and the next inning another routine play was messed up by Altuve I have no idea what's going on here
Sorry I had to go into the replay to get the clip as it wouldn't let me save the video from the actual gameplay

I checked again - same thing. I'm 99.9% sure the only foul balls counted on pitcher analysis are those after the generated count because I saw an inordinately low number of foul balls. Therefore I suspect the problem isn't with actual pitches thrown, the problem is with the display. There are about 45 foul balls a game and when calculating the generated count the developers probably add a % of foul balls to the count. Therefore your guy who you thought only threw fewer than 70 pitches in fact had thrown more pitches. Did you look at pitcher analysis or the pitch count on the screen during the game?

That added with the other 3 plays, all of them by Altuve and there the only plays he's made in this game.
These plays shouldn't really happen IMO in isolation but for them to all happen in the matter of 2 innings is not right
I'm going to continue this game and see if anything else goes awry
And then this happened...

Are you playing with sliders?
What are the infield errors set at?

Wow...that is crazy. All error sliders on default? I think it would be a one off.
Was this offline Franchise?
Hey guys....
Since I was complaining about the post patch bat sound, I toggled all the sound options available in the games Audio/Video section.
For me, the headphone gold with The Show app is the biggest offender. The 'night' sound option is a viable toned down bat crack to use until the next patch.
Like many of you, I love The Show and have confidence in the SDS team.

One potential "bug" (or unintended glitch...), however, is when a fielder doesn't make a throw or hesitate too long to make one... That appears to happen under certain conditions, often (but not limited to) when the receiving fielder isn't ready covering the base.
But other than that, I see those often as error animations (though the game often does not score as errors... which itself appears oversight though not bugs...).
