I'm going to start playing this game again when I make considerably more progress in RDR 2. I was just bummed out with the monthly national tournaments and the fact that gems weren't earned but rather just hunted upon.

Also, have they finally put DLC courses in tournament play? I heard they had but they never came up for me.

It’s been awhile since I’ve played, but the DLC courses did come up for me in the tournaments.

Still no Advanced Swing Interface options for this game yet, right? That's the DLC I'm most interested in...

Which would that be? Right analog stick control? A curved meter? No meter at all?

Anyway, I'm hoping with the update comes yet another course.

I can't remember the name of the one I liked the most but it was a real time swing, that used a half graduated hemisphere for the swing meter. The top part of the swing (above waist-high) you had to rely on the golfer animation to gauge your "power" press. It was a step closer to an analog swing, which I prefer, but it was also in real time which makes the game seem more immersive... to me anyway.

A demo for the PSVR version was released today. Apparently the demo is just a practice mode (driving range?) and a non-playable course we can view in VR.

I still play this a good bit. I’m hoping the VR version means we get some updates to the standard version.

Had been playing TGC exclusively until a few days ago just started playing this one again. I bought the original 2 DLC courses quite some time back. I see they are offering 2 more courses for like $6.50 per. Are they worth it? Could be my eyes playing tricks but I could swear they improved the look of the original two DLC courses I purchased.

Has anyone read or heard anything about "Advanced Swings", like we had in Hot Shots OOB and World Tour being added as an update to Everybody's Golf? I would think that with the recent release of Everybody's Golf VR, Clap Hanz might have recognized the demand in the marketplace for a swing interface that had at least a partial analog component, in real time.

I wanna play this, but I'm not buying a ps4 for 1 (maybe 2, with Bloodborne) games.

I went back and played Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational on my PS3 a few weeks ago and I was immediately struck by how much more immersive its advanced swing interface is, compared to Everybody's Golf on the PS4. It makes the swing considerably less regimented and thereby the gameplay more open-ended. I just don't understand this regressive decision to ignore Advanced swing interfaces, after they'd gotten so much praise for it in the previous two editions of HGG!?

new counterbalanced playing friend cameras are simply marvelous. It gives the multiplayer encounter a lot more identity and point of view authenticity. I wish they could be changed by the player...

Do you wish they could be changed by the player, or what are you trying to tell me?

Who do you wish they could be changed by?

Was this added in a recent patch? I just realized that it's been almost two years since I played a true multiplayer round in this game so this could have easily gotten by me.

If it's like the current presentation camera, you take whatever camera and camera cuts & pans the game engine chooses. He probably means he wishes you could select a playing companion camera angle of your choosing, via a a button press. You can choose from 3 different player chosen playing companion viewing angles in TGC 2019, when playing against a live or a ghost player, which is really cool, IMO. I think that's what Paul.D was describing...

I still wish the game had the advanced swing interfaces of the previous two Hot Shots games. I like the one that allowed to watch the swing in real time, and have to rely mostly on feel for the power 'click'. It made the swing feel more analog and immersive because it happened in real time. I hate watching a 'tape delayed' swing animation based on how well I timed 3 button presses

Don't trust the spambot. Just newly registered and made two posts from a relatively archaic game about complete nothingness, twice (hence my sarcastic response). This game has not been patched with anything new since VR, and that was for another title.

Though for the record, I seem to remember you can cycle through different viewing angles in this game (perhaps I'm misremembering). I prefer the default view among all of them, though.

There hasn't been a patch in awhile.

I think they have perhaps pulled a PP/HB/EA and moved on...
