Everybody's Golf Arrives on August 29 For PlayStation 4 - Post Impressions

The next installment in the Hot Shots Golf franchise will be titled Everybody's Golf, coming to PlayStation 4 for $39.99 on August 29. Check out the announcement trailer here. The team will be conducting a Closed Online Test towards the end of May.

Are you actually able to COMPETE against another player? I see you can try to best other players' scores in a given hole but what about a vs. round of 9 or 18?
You can open up a room for up to 3 other people (can be passworded or limited to friends only) and play a stroke play round with them. You could also try to coordinate just playing together on the open course, but since you can't party up you wouldn't be able to see each other's scores.

It definitely feels like an oversight that you can't make an open course party. I'm still wondering if I'm missing something - seems like a wasted opportunity.

Yeah...I mean I thought when the game was announced that we would be able to play ranked tourneys with like 20 or 30 people in them versus having to do it versus an AI.

That is probably coming later - I know there's a 3rd gate in the home area and I think it's for some sort of "international tournament" I read about in one of the loading screens. The screen itself said that "it's not ready yet", so it's probably a feature they're going to roll out later (and people need time to unlock the courses anyway).

I'll be picking this up soon just been busy lately. I did receive an exclusive code the other day for a bear costume for use in the game. Sony sent it to me by e-mail for participating in the beta awhile back.

Ok folks, I came across a pretty useful article today which is actually more detailed and informative than the game manual. I never knew there was a way to apply side spin till I read it here. Do take a look as it should help your gameplay...

It makes me wonder why the game didn't have a basic tutorial listing various shots. Would definitely have come in handy.

Just found out you can move around while viewing the open course overview (touchpad button). Pretty cool because you can see a lot more of what's going on around the course that way.

If you pull back the big map, you can continue to move your character. I figured this out yesterday as well, although it looks funny, almost like your guy is a mini-Godzilla moving slowly through the map. But it allows you to see the whole thing and still move at the same time.

Finally got a chance to play last night, and as expected this game is a gem.

Just need to knock a bit of the rust off but I expect that will happen quickly

Sorry for double post, but I preordered at Best Buy and thought I was supposed to get a code for a course or something but instead the code they sent me was to unlock the digital download version of the game????

Anyone know what preorder bonus was supposed to be?

Anyone else have this happen?

Thanks for the info that's what I need to know about riding the kart. As for playing the course over again just gets better plus you can spot your ball on other courses to get an eagle 🦅 when possible. It's a huge help when playing turf wars

Yeah I'll echo what others have said before. A lot of people see the cartoony graphics and assume that the golfing isn't realistic. The golf physics in the Everybody's Golf/Hot Shots Golf series have always been the best in the business. Yeah they do some thing s like tornado cups and some other silly things but at the core this is actually a sim golf engine in a fun wrapper.

Don't know about the BB pre-order but the digital pre-order had the following freebies...

- An additional DLC course
- Couple of T-shirts
- Golf cart
- Bunny costume

Maybe missing out a couple of other things but out of the lot, the additional golf course is the best part.

I only care about course. Thought I was supposed to get that.

I did the digital pre order through Best Buy and I did not get the extra items either BUT this morning I got another code emailed to me. When I get home I will plug it in and hopefullyl it is the extra content.
