NBA 2K17 News Post


NBA 2K17 patch 1.06 has just arrived for PlayStation 4 (7.4GB) and Xbox One (2.6GB). Once the patch notes have been released, this post will get updated. Until then, post what you're seeing!

UPDATE: Here are the patch notes.

GENERAL
  • The Hornets will now have their correct court projection during the pre-game presentation.
  • Fixed an indefinite simulating screen that would occur when your MyPLAYER retired after the completion of his 20-year MyCAREER.
  • Fixed a hang that would occur in MyGM/MyLEAGUE when attempting to enter the Staff Signing experience when the team had no Assistant Coach (retired) and an expired Head Coach.
  • Addressed an issue in MyGM/MyLEAGUE where a league filled with Classic and Euroleague teams would sometimes hang late in the season when simulating.
  • Fixed a MyTEAM Challenge case where the in-game overlay would claim the challenge was not successfully completed when it actually was.
  • Addressed a case where a MyTEAM card that was sent to the Auction House could still appear in lineup menu as being available (when it actually wasn’t).
GAMEPLAY
  • Fixed an issue where pass icons were not appearing for users playing in 4K on the PS4 Pro.
  • Removed some long, drawn out dribble loss (pickup) animations from the body up system to improve responsiveness.
  • Made some aggressive bump back dribble collisions MyPARK only.
  • Prevent defenders from being able to steal the ball from an inbounder immediately after checking it in when playing in MyPARK.
  • Make sure all players are in position before checking the ball when playing half-court games in MyPARK.
  • Sped up the CPU’s ability to get into its offensive sets and run plays.
  • Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause CPU-controlled ball handlers to run out of bounds when attacking the baseline.
  • Cleaned up an issue that lead to unrealistic speed bursts in some size-up escape and combo moves.
  • Fixed a case that caused the wrong dribble move to queue up when attempting to perform driving combo moves (e.g. double crossover).
  • Updated Broadcast Stadium cameras for Bucks, Mavericks, Kings, and Clippers.
  • Beluba camera updated to zoom out more in transition and to have a wider range of zoom and height adjustment settings.
MyPARK/2K PRO-AM
  • A number of performance improvements to solidify the Pro-Am experience.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause some users to hang when attempting to hop from one park to another.
  • Users can now unequip the skateboard and mascot outfits from their MyPLAYER.
Many other small bug fixes and adjustments were also made, game-wide.

NOTE: All patch fixes will work in your existing game mode saves unless noted otherwise.

Played a quick game of nba today and that fake coach is still there telling me that I'm his "Pippin" (yes that's how it's actually spelled ingame)

Other than that annoying ******* ...playing defense is actually less slippery. That's my experience in one game so far. Need to play some more later but I can't take that fake Steve Kerr anymore.

I'd like to think I am a pretty level headed guy....but that coach seriously bothers me man [emoji38]

Well Boston double teamed me after 2 minutes in the first, and I had just 2 points and 1 assist...

I agree and I have said it before , people loose they complain ( its not fair the game is broke ect ) they keep patching and screwing up everything that worked .


in my opinion if a player is doing something you feel OP don't complain ( if you cant beat them , Join them )

So the in-game update just hit and I basically can't make a jumper unless it is green...

I played 3 games between 1.06 and the in-game update and it didn't feel any different. Yes the stupid pick up animation is gone but people still step out of bounds at the base line for example. Gameplay in general felt the same.

Not only that but the more they get used to getting a feel to what we want - the better future 2ks will be hopefully = less patches. I think this is the first 2k with tuner updates?.

Seriously guys, what is your impression when it comes to shooting after the patch and the in-game update that just hit? I can not hit anything anymore unless it is green. It is so damn hard to make a shot now (I play on SS).

Shooting hasn't been touched since patch 1.05.

Beluba said he didn't touch shooting since the last patch but who knows. Curious if anyone else is having the same shooting issues?

it feels a little bit better, my team defence is a more smarter ( i play player lock pg).fastbreaks fixed and the game is more slow in term of pace, yesterday i play agains cleveland and it was so frenetic, now is more balance.

The game in all-star sliders is much better, something i was expecting, maybe SS and HOF the shoting is more difficult now

@beluba i know you work on the SS and HOF sliders for long, but can we expect a changes in allstar sliders in recents updates ? or you think is fine right now ? maybe the shoting sliders 50cpu/53user - 47cpu/50user or thing like that ? thank you and sory for my english

Beluba I think you've found a great balance with the shooting. Wide open shots go in at a decent rate but not automatic. Contested shots rarely go in.

I can say that I am happy with the shooting... great job man.

Since you are here, can you explain how cold/neutral/hot zones work in combination with the shot meter? What's the logic behind having issues shooting for a few games (or in my case quite a lot of games after getting the game) and then the cold zone basically preventing you from improving (yourself and the zones) because it is so hard to hit shots from there?
When or how do they reset, because shooting from there basically makes them even worse.

0:46 - Good example of an "easy steal" and then a smooth transition into a fastbreak.

0:27 - Nice fastbreak by my opponent.

0:50 - Nice sequence where the AI or opponent was able to react to my attempts to pas the ball into the paint.

This is a great patch. Off-ball movement (plays) has significantly improved. Also, the removal of the drawn out bumping animations is awesome.

I just really hope the developers can remove the double teaming. It is killing the off-line experience.

I'm looking forward to Da-Czar to drop his fastbreak logic fixes in an upcoming ACE update. I bet the changes will be great.
