Yeah he's put the info out there which is making us think Konami saw it and it was fixed.

But the question is how?

Bottom line is it is fixed. So carry on.

I am not finding many negatives in this demo.

But here is one, and it is just as bad in FIFA.

Any situation where you have a FK not in shooting range.

Both games handle this terribly.

Problem 1:
The tunnel vision camera. Way too close for a situation where you need to play a lofted ball into a zone/to a player

Solution:
Give us the same view angle like is already present on a CK. Just pull the cam back and treat the FK much like a CK.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Problem 2:
Targets, or rather lack of. Generally you get maybe a ST standing static on either side of the box semi-circle. Double and even triple teamed.

Solution:
again, like CK except allow us to choose the amount we want taking part in the set piece. There should be "set plays" to run just like with CK's.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Problem 3:
Can you swerve or manipulate the ball like you can on a corner or FK where you can shoot on goal? Maybe? I have taken enough in both games the lofted service feels painfully basic in each game

Solution:
Let us spin or dip the ball just like CK/FK
------------------------------------------------------------------

When you get fouled near the corner flag why would the FK be less threatening than a CK is? It shouldn't be but it is.

This is just an area of both games that is completely neglected.

So funny you mentioned this because I was just talking to a friend about it and this is exactly how I feel about the free kicks. Shame because they got corners kicks right but didn't add it to other dead ball scenario. Still a huge oversight because many teams rely on this situations to beat teams, Pulis style lol.

Held the CPU to less than 70% passing but still lost 2-0.

Nice stats.

I was playing on xbox one earlier and felt like it's become a little harder to score.

What alchemy has Konami whipped up here?

Do you notice any differences Royce?

Honestly I haven't noticed too much of a difference except maybe I see the CPU commit at least 3 fouls a match playing on Superstar. Still haven't grew tired of demo though, I'll probably play it all the way until the release of the full game.

Here is another change. It just occurred to me that I have not seen that annoying prancing dribble animation where the player dribbles/sashays with his arms up that I saw in previous matches before yesterday and whatever may have happened update wise with the demo.

No, they have definitely improved positioning and the retreat possession loss issue. It's real. It's like night and day the difference.

Hi everyone! I am new to the forum, been a long time PES player & loving the PES17 Demo...

I am located in NYC, and looking for US Pes players on PS4. I am interested in friendlies and/or leagues. So far I have not come across any leagues here in the States.

My PSN: BrZyTwAa

Add me, mention that you found me on this forum. I'm available to SHarePlay the demo as well.

Cheers!

I am not denying if it is real or not but there was definitely some stranger things afoot but I just haven't really paid much attention to it.

Right royce.

I have never seen anything like this. If I rated the demo an easy 8.5 now with whatever has happened with the few things that annoyed me mysteriously vanishing I rate it a solid 9.

It's the only game I am playing now.

If the full game stays like this and I have an option file it's a solid 10/10 for me.

Do you play full manual? Listing your settings will help give people here an idea of what kind of player you are.

The game I am playing most is PES 17 as well. Madden is actually good for the 1st time since the ps2 era, but the problem I have with madden is that the players feel floaty, they don't feel grounded. In fact, I think the ps2 madden games felt more grounded, less floaty. EA likes floaty player movement to appeal to casuals. PES doesn't feel floaty, especially on the -2 gamespeed setting, and this is really what makes pes 17 the best sports game available.

Just a fantastic match. Stunning gameplay, so much fun. I need the full game now.

1st half arsenal v atletico

2nd half - They turn their blatant foul on me into a goal for them and I said whatever. For now. This could get old fast, I got taken down a lot this match with too many play ons

Guys, are you using advanced through balls? If yes, how and when do you use it (how often, sprinting vs. not sprinting ect...)?
I have hard time using it. Very often I miss quite easy ones even with skilled players. It seems I am rarely able to give the right power to it, it is so sensitive compared with any other kind of passes.

Advanced through balls is okay a little too sensitive at times like you said but it is much better in Pes 17 than it has ever been. I find the advanced lofted through balls feel great but the ground through balls are a little off. I would stick with basic, it feels really balanced this year.

On PS4 (again, it maybe different on XBOX or PC), it is impossible to make changes on the game files without an update.

In this game, and someone please correct me if im wrong, there are no server side fixes (like in Battlefield for example). And also, in PES the gameplay itīs not server side, itīs a file like the .ini file on Fifa with all the parameters of the game. If that file in PES is changed, Konami MUST release an update, Sony does not allow any company to do this changes without their consent. Thatīs why we read the devs sometimes saying "the patch is done, it awaits approval from Sony".

Now, again, im not saying that there are no changes and im not saying that on PC or XBOX changes were really made to the game files, but on PS4 itīs something else.

Maybe itīs the switch on/off of the Att. Fulbacks, maybe if the CF is on a red arrow the DMF letīs him loose and goes to attack because the CF is on poor form, maybe itīs another thing completely different.

Maybe... itīs just what makes PES feels so fresh! Itīs not as "robotized" as Fifa and things donīt play out always the same!

# 278 BL8001 @ 08/31/16 12:27 PM
Sure but I can list these things that have changed

1.CDM now moves up into space

2.You don't get mugged straight off kickoff anymore by the CPU ST on top player or superstar. Instead of them immediately sprinting on a direct path to the first guy you touch the ball too they are more casual with their behavior.

3.That dainty dribble animation where the player has his arms out to the side and appears to be skipping seems to have disappeared

4.Fatigue (to me, need to test this more) seems to not be as harshly applied late in the match. I was having most of my squad and the cpu totally gassed by the 80th. I have not changed the way I play to conserve energy. It just seems to have been toned down.

Again, just to be clear, nobody is arguing here. It's more stunned amazement that this is happening and confusion to how this could happen, since it is unprecedented.

The bottom line here is no matter what wizardry enabled these changes, the demo is playing fantastic right now.

Have you ever played the NHL series? They release "tuner updates" which are NOT patch files, they automatically install when you login to the game and are connected to the internet. This is probably what Konami did stealthily.

# 280 bredfan @ 08/31/16 01:34 PM
It's easy to find out if they indeed stealth hotfixed anything. Just turn off your connection to play offline. Hotfixes only work when connected.

Thing is, I don't remember the demo even having an online TOS acceptance screen to begin with, which it must if it connects. So I'm pretty sure it doesn't connect anyway.

I imagine what people are seeing as different has to do with things like the "form" and "emotion" of players. You can change these in the game settings screen. Or maybe even just different games providing different results. *shrugs*
