Would it be easier to see the defensive issue with an overhead camera?

Going to play with blimp cam in a few hours so I can watch how they behave from above.

Maybe if they know the camera is showing them in real time they will behave better.

Top Player was pretty fun after 8 games. It offers more natural looking gameplay than Superstar, but the difficulty just isnt there. CPU attacking is too slow and weak, so they dosent get many if none chances at match.

For me Superstar with manuals is only way to play game, but i like it. I still hope for more challenge PES 2017 full release.

Watched some minutes from Matt10 Professional Dificulty video/stream, that just made my toughts stronger. It's way too easy, but ofcourse its good to have options for every player. People like different things.
Instant Charge/Retreat mentality is the only reason I'm playing Professional at this point. It happens too often on Superstar and Top Player. It's a joke animation and ruins the immersion of properly being challenged. I've already made a video and said my peace about those difficulties, just needs tweaks, then we're good.

So for the demo, Professional has the right balance. I hope the full game comes out with the right tweaks, if not, it will be another PES 16 fix-a-thon.

Yeah sorry the video quality and my replay handling are both very poor.
It was more the two CB running away from the ball carrier, from the half line until they reach their penalty area. IRL this would have never happen. At least one of them would have tried to cut the ball carrier while the other would cover. Instead here they seemed to be attracted by Giroud and they sprinted in direction of their goal until they reach the line of their penalty area. This line seemed to act as wall on which they rebounded.

hopefully in the future sports games remove difficulty levels and sliders from there game, it's very unrealistic competition. when you play regular difficulty cpu players pass, shoot run with realistic accuracy but as you turn the difficulty up it all improves and becomes unrealistic. developers should improve ai making it less predictable like playing real people. when you play regular difficulty it's great to see Barcelona making errors in shooting and passing but the predictability is high. that's why regular difficulty's to easy for most.

sliders are a way for developers to do less work with programming making you fine tune the game to play good.

when you play your brother he beats you because he's unpredictable.

i wonder how fast messi is on regular vs top player.

hopefully i win the power ball so i can assemble a team of developers and do this right..

Yeah that's not even remotely close to being true. Sliders are used to improve someone's enjoy with a game. Not everyone plays sport games the same.

That's what I figured and yeah it looked pretty bad (from what I could tell lol). I usually manually control one of the CBs in that situation and try to cut the attacker off but yeah, it seems like players are running back to their zones (Matt10's issue he 1st pointed out and rightly so).

In Fifa many people controlled only the Defensive Midfielder when out of possession, mainly because it seemed that when we pressured the ball carrier CPU started to zip passes all around to get rid of pressure. This was so frustrating that people resorted to the control the DMF only and let CPU defenders to the rest.

In PES we can´t do that because CPU defenders don´t pressure the ball carrier as much, when far away from the box at least, so in this game, we have to change defenders as the CPU passes the ball.

Matt, about your video, definitely see the problem here with the DMF, it´s the opposite from FIFA where (in my opinion) the DMF didn´t stayed back enough.

We can´t seem to get a middle ground anywhere!

Just a brief clarification, on the video I was controlling the attacking team. The bad defending decision was made by the cpu and not my AI teamates.

Can´t see the video where i am right now, but i thought KG´s post was a user problem not a cpu thing.

You have some inside info? Will those tweaks happen?

Had a game the other night where the computer had 9 YELLOW CARDS.

Yes. NINE. Freaking. Yellow. Cards.

It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. Played about 30 or so games now. And this one was just weird as it gets. Computer was diving in like crazy and ref was pulling the card every 2 minutes.

I think the craziest part was that not one person ended with a send off (2 yellows). Each one was a different person.

I didn't know if it was glitching out on me or what, but it was odd.

Game ended as a 1-1 draw. Couldn't sustain any build up play because of all the fouls lol

EDIT: This was on Superstar

I couldn't tell who he was controlling because it was a replay but I was assuming that the defenders running away were CPU controlled.

I think there's going to be a conspiracy brewing, but the CDM playing the CB role might've just gotten fixed...in the demo....

CDM is pushing up because 3 have 2 covered

What we don't know is if matt fixed it with a setting change or if konami sneaked a fix into the demo

Lol. Well, when you activate attacking fb, the DMF definitely goes back, but the other DMF stays in front of the attackers. The actual CB's spread out correctly, allowing the outside backs to overlap/go up at will.

Before, it looked more like this, from PES 16.

Here, the CB's don't get wide enough to replace the width of the FB's, and the DMF is not really accomplishing anything. It's very obviously a glitch here as the DMF and CB are practically within arm's length of each other.

Is it 100% fixed? No, but it's a lot better than where it was from my previous video. Now, I won't be surprised people saying that Superstar is challenging again, and if they don't have that Attacking FB advanced instruction set to "on" they will see the DMF get involved in the plays much more often. This will result in more physicality, and more shots from the DMF from distance.

Ps4 and xbox one are both playing better. Matt and I and the peeps in his stream sussed it all out.

This game is incredible now.

You don't have to make any changes the demo is just fixed
