A MLS mod for PES PC version would be supertacular.

Ive spent some time with the demo, and I am really liking it so far. Suarez scored a goal on me where I immediately thought, "That's b.s.". Watched the replay and realized, nope, that was a brilliant lobbed through ball to an aware forward who did a brilliant job trapping it down and blasting it past my keeper.

Normally when I see a goal I really like, I'll watch the replay and realize there was a lot of weak plays and players running away. This time I was really impressed.

Everything has improved from a notch to several notches. Like has been mentioned, the refs are much better, not perfect, but much, much better. Contact and foul replays look fairly nice too.

I have had slow games and fast games, and this I really like. If you watch the EPL(which most of us do) youll see two top-tier teams play a really lazy game every now and then, but youll also see games that look more akin to the speed of hockey, and I love having that variance in pace of play.

Its great to see goalies actually making nice saves and looking far more realistically this year. I agree with some prior sentiments that sometimes the goalies deflect or parry the ball too often, and im sure this may get fixed, or just be something Id be willing to live with.

Last year on PES 16 launch, I decided to try something thats never worked right got me - an online vs match. I was actually blown away at how fun it was. I found someone somewhat local to me, latency wasnt felt at all and the game was so fun, I couldnt believe it. Eventually, fewer players played and I only found games with people thousands of kms away and the fun factor went down. Here's hoping to regular online vs matches being a viable option this year!

My recommendation for Barcelona players. Use attacking fullbacks only or use it with Tiki Taka advanced tactics. Using Tiki Taka only cause Messi and Neymar to stay too wide at times.

Here is a look at what you could do edit wise for 16. I go through all prem kits quick then hit some of the other edited clubs.

17 has more kits options like 10 more collar types and you can choose what the dominant color your supporters wear.

One other cool touch is you can restructure leagues as I have already done before recording this.

POST FROM SOMEONE WHO USED TO PLAY WITH ASSISTED PASSING

I have a bone to pick with you fully manual guys. You all say it is awesome without explaining why so let me do the honours.

1. While it takes away from being able to play tiki taki with barca easily it is still possible and playing a 5 pass move and creating a scoring opportunity is such a reward
2. The ball is so much looser, as a result you see more fouls and animations because the ball doesn't go to the intended target 100% so it overides the scripting. I had defenders lunging for balls more because they not talking the player they are trying to get to the ball. If you are fast enough you can draw a free kick.
3. You feel individuality more because you are depending on your dribblers that you know will win a few extra yards or you use your strong players better to hold of defenders and wait for passing opportunities.
4. Randomness: with the error involved you weigh up every pass, no more pressing x x x to get out of a tight situation. What may look like a passing opportunity can be a very bad mistake in a split second.
5. From what I can recall this was not how PES 2016 was all you had was looser balls and not the accompanied intelligence of your players to fetch a ball that is slightly to the right or too slow to the intended Passer.
6. Shooting feels like a lottery at times and this is a good thing. It's hard as hell to create scoring opportunities now but you decide exactly where that ball is going.
7. Body positioning is now more contextual if you try to shoot or pass blindly while off balance you see the effect how it affects the ball physics

Manual, if it stays this way, will be my way. I was always worried I would lose player individuality but I don't feel stunted and the added benefits I listed are too much to ignore.

Player passing and shooting stats also affect to manual controls + all that what you say. Only problem the game has with manual passing is sometimes one touch passes dosent work right and are too short ones. You can test it like loading full power to one touch pass and sometimes it doesent go anywhere, only like 1 meter or something like that. That bug have been at least from PES 2015.

I have been using manual controls for everything from FIFA 09 and with PES when they added those controls. I think they are well made at PES because you have more control than at FIFA and overall feeling is much better. FIFA manual controls are getting worse for every year.

For me manual passing and sometimes even shooting feels to easy at PES. I think it's like that, because player controlling is very good, passes and shots are very accurate. Even too accurate and there is too less errors from bad body position or from running full speed.

Demo is absolutely brilliant, can't wait for full release!

Getting smoked by Barca 5-0 as River Plate and I swear, Neymar is trying to rub it in using a boatload of tricks that he wasn't trying earlier in the match. [emoji35][emoji3]

Did they really have to do this to us?

Yes and No. The reason I say No is because last year since there were no fouls called you could just hack people and not called. If it is an obvious foul I would like them to call it although I do see your point as well.

It is interesting that you mention that because I was thinking about the options the other day and what effect they have on each other. It will be interesting to see what it is like once the full game is out.

Problem is that if there is very little player individuality / team individuality in fifa (which people who have already played it have said still exists) licenses don't matter then.

Very true indeed! The Team Edit situation definitely keeps PES in the picture, although it would be a little more leg work on my part.

I've played very little PES in the past, and I played a few games on the demo last night. It's certainly a very smooth game of soccer, but I'm 100% used to FIFA controls. If I choose the PES path, it'll take awhile to get transitioned for sure.

And let's be honest, PES released two weeks earlier. I probably won't be patient enough to pass on PES to wait a couple weeks for FIFA. Haha

it's funny hearing the same thing i said 3 years ago.
but knowing PES controls now they seem so right.
like R1 for sprinting......tap R1 twice and knock the ball foreword, it's more manual controlled than fifa's R2 sprinting.

when you double tap R1 to move the ball ahead and take a shot..... the closer the ball is to your feet the more control on your shot...

These settings are a game changer for me, and should be Konami's default, so everybody can experience it...
You can really feel the battles...

Here's a video of a game with these settings... YouTubes video compression makes it look faster than it really is...

camera settings 5 0 10
radar appearance off
player name plate off
game speed 0

i even feel the game speed is slower with this camera angle.

I haven't had a better football game experience....

What is so great is watching people play the cpu is very much like watching two people who understand the sport playing each other.

The cpu makes very human like choices, good and bad.

They play surprising passes and crosses and don't go the 100% safe route. It's the "there may be a window" and risky attempts here and there that really make this demo (and hopefully the full game) outstanding.

Man it is back to where every match is different and you never know what to expect no goal is ever the same and it is good to say that again.

Goodness though, guys. The space between the defensive line and attackers is starting to get to me. Defenders, including CB's, go past the halfway line IRL, they do not attack and defend at the same time - yet this is what happens in PES 17 demo.

From a positional standpoint, I'm a bit tired of the demo. From pure enjoyment of the ball physics, and player interactions, it makes me want to play more. In the end, I think it's time to put it down and just wait for the full version in a couple weeks.

the CPU?
play on professional difficulty and see if it happens
maybe it's just demo stuff that will get fixed in full game

Yea, I've been playing professional for a while now. Had a big write up about it as well

It's not just demo, it's the issue stemming over from PES 2016. I'll have a video on this. Stay tuned
