The new course will be added to career when you reach the date it is on. This is according to the EA Sports guy on twitter.

He also said it in the patch thread here.

Seems like this game is dying a fast death. Oh how I wish it had the same features as last gen especially the Country Clubs. I'm still enjoying the game but no where near the fun I had with previous versions

I'm enjoying it, it's made playing TGC difficult and I loved TGC. Still I'd rather play something than a golf game most evenings anyway. I'd rather be playing real golf.

Finally got it...enjoying it sp far. The courses are great.

But PLEASE tone down or let us turn off my player's emotion!

I want to punch my guy in the face...he goes into hysterics after any bad shot. Man up. Please let us change this crap.

I could not agree more. Country Club was awesome. Foursomes with the OS guys was amazing. Good old Bushwood. I miss club customization and the second stick aiming. This game feels empty to me, and I'm not talking about the lack of courses.

Ditto. Glad I sold it when I did. Got back the majority of money spent on the game, so should EA man up and support the game to make it great, I won't have a problem dropping cash on a used copy.

TGC keeps me busy enough, love TGCTours.com as well as RGT. If I shoot under par in TGC it feels like an actual accomplishment.

Yah... The dancing and showboating is just completely ridiculous. Unbelievable that something like that would make the cut, especially when they made a fairly valiant attempt at a TV broadcast. As is, they've completely butchered the atmosphere. None of that nonsense belongs in this game and needs to be removed immediately. For me, I can't bare to even play the game, regardless of how good the three-click mechanic is.

Nods to the crowd, tips of the cap, etc.... That's what should be happening. Hopefully it's fixed ASAP.

Does anyone know if there's anyway to copy and duplicate a created golfer/career?

Sitting here playing the 2nd round of the US Open and my toon makes a birdie and starts doing the "Sprinkler" I tell my wife to take a quick look and here is her response.

"Nobody does that dumb S--T on the golf course and she walks away shaking her head.

Just thought I'd share her thoughts and she doesn't even play video games

I have to say the more time I spend with this game the more fun it has been. My friend stopped by the house and we played 2 rounds and had a great time. We each played 1 and then handed off the controller. I just think this game should have been more fleshed out. A lot of people will trade this in before they see the positives that are hopefully coming

Just think of how much fun it could have been if you and your friend had been able to play match play against each other.

Just watched Day sink that 49' putt on 7 and couldn't help but think, "If this were Rory PGA, he would have dropped to the ground and started doing the worm".

I have a couple cold ones in me right now and reading this I'm weak with laughter.

I'm gonna hang on because I have no choice (Digital Owner) here but I do enjoy the game. As someone mentioned I wish it was more fleshed out.

Agreed. Who's bright idea was that stuff? I mean, didn't a mature adult playtest it and say, "Whoa guys, this is not good. This needs to go."

Just a bizarre design choice (as it was back in 2010).

Dear EAsupport,

The game is just too easy for anyone that competed on your previous TW14 default simulation mode settings. This game just does not present a challenge other than playing online against others but that mode is sort of bland in itself.

I'm not faulting you for lack of content or even the gameplay itself. The game looks and plays rather great but the lack of a challenging difficulty is starting to make the game not worth playing for me anymore.

I'm only in the 2nd tourney of my career, won the first one, and I play on tour difficulty with the swing on "hard" and all the aids turned off including green grid and I still hit every single fairway and just about every green in regulation with my crappy as of now custom golfer. If it were not for my semi average putting I'd be shooting -15 every round or better.

I just cannot get into a game where it's so easy for me to hit every single fairway and green in regulation. The game will certainly become even less challenging as I improve at putting and my "custom" golfer gets better along with better equipment.

Please find a way to implement some kind of mode comparable to your "simulation" mode on TW14. If you can find a way to emulate that sort of difficult I could careless really if you add additional content or not because I'd be sold on the challenge the game presents along with it's stellar gameplay.

Thanks.

Ps. I've tested the 3-click mode and while some may swear by that mode I still find that mode way to easy. Maybe older people that have trouble seeing the screen find that mode difficult but for me it's not that challenging after some swings and getting a feel for the tempo of the bar. It doesn't even go faster when in difficult lies. At least you could have made fill quicker with bad lies and that would have added a challenge to it. It's the same tempo throughout for all I can tell so it's just figuring out the timing and once you get that it's easier than "tour-hard" difficulty.

At first i did love the 3 click because the sticks were too ez. Then i really missed using the sticks so i have not touched it. Was going to trade it in while i can still get something but maybe holding out for a patch. Other game is still #1 in my book. Not as flashy but plays a great game. Any news on a patch? I really don't care at this point about new courses..just hoping they fix the difficulty.

Just finished my 10 hour trial period and short story is I'm just going to continue on with TW14. A few thoughts though.

- Can be fun as has decent graphics overall, courses look good and animations are on par.
- Is way too easy even on the hardest settings with no grids after a round or two. Tough to miss a fair or GIR.
- As most have said, whoever sat down and penned these celebration animations was on something. Can't believe they got through.

I think there is promise here but it's too bare and way too easy. I enjoy my career and can't believe I qualified for the PGA after my first round in which I had a terrible score testing the system out. Couldn't believe it.

So I'll go back to TW14 and continue there. Hopefully next years version is improved. As I said, not a bad game but too bare and too easy.

No matter what I did with the difficulty settings I felt the game was way too easy with the left stick swing mechanic. I started my pro career over using the 3 click mechanic and I'm enjoying the game much more. I use hard swing difficulty, advanced lie, and wind gusts turned on. If I overswing or miss left/right the impact is huge. I feel like I'm actually having to weigh risk/reward with my club and shot selections now. Previously I basically couldn't not finish in the top 10 in tournaments right from the start. Using these other settings I actually missed the cut at the first 2 tournaments, finally made it by 1 shot at Bay Hill.

This has rejuvenated my interest in the game. It looks amazing and if they continue to add new courses I think I might have found some longevity with the game.
