The one thing that really bugged me about Madden 15 is that they never showed Phil Simms talking. They always opened with Jim Nantz talking but when it was poor phils chance to be on TV talking they went and showed the QB warming up or some nonsense.

If Phil Simms mouth doesnt move on screen I will not buy Madden 16.

But I will buy the game because there are no other options, and I am a big Madden fan because of the work they did prior to the PS3 and 360. I just hope they revert back to the days of PS2 and Xbox when vast improvement was expected and delivered year over year. I actually wonder if they care AT ALL what is said on mainstream sports gaming forums like this great site.
Who would go through the time to post here if they didn't care what we thought?

Total control passing is an old idea lets hope it works out though. It can make the passing Game more balanced, and actually let you take advantage of DB Openings

I can't say I'm in the camp that says passing needs much improvement, since you can already throw low, high, and lead receivers. I'm not opposed to improvement, just hoping it doesn't change something that's very good in the game in a detrimental way.

Touch passes aren't in the game (and they need to be), and I believe I also saw something regarding back shoulder throws, which is another major element of NFL passing games that isn't in madden. But I think the more important part of the focus on the passing game is WR-CB interactions, which in my opinion (and in the opinion of a lot of others on this forum) is the #1 problem with the gameplay in madden 15.

Compared to even EAs own site, we're saints when it comes to making coherent, well thought out posts.

You confused what I said. The poster I quoted made reference to if they (EA) "care AT ALL what is said on mainstream sports gaming forums like this great site". I was just making the point that they wouldn't post here if they didn't care what we had to say.

I would tend to disagree with this.

All QB's played like Aaron Rodgers, they were just too accurate. One needed to nerf all the sliders to get the AI QB's to play like they should.

Also, if QB's were pressured, the AI QB would not take off and run or throw the ball out of bounds. Not very smart QB AI.

I was just further elaborating on your point for the poster you quoted. It just came out wrong lol. I agree with you 100% that if they didn't care they wouldn't come here and the awesome community we have is valuable for feedback.

Listened to the Sim Standard's radio show. Those guys were pretty hype about Madden 16. Take it how you want it. Also said they were disappointed in the trailer, says the one they were shown was a much better representation of Madden 16. Alot of hints toward the end of the show.

Haven't really listened to the Sim Standard since the split a couple years back. I just cannot trust people to have an honest opinion since they go down to EA's headquarters and praise a new game after they criticize the previous game and the two have the same lingering issues.

*Shrugs* Just my $.02

Yea there is no way I believe any of the game changers. I don't blame them for doing what they do, but I don't buy it.

I really don't pay much attention to the Twitterworld or Youtube world. I've heard of the split, but that's all I've heard and all I care to know.

I listened to first 38 minutes and I need to listen to the rest. I was cautiously optimistic listening to what I did and Sage has me interested in listening to the whole thing. and I trust Sages opinion in here. I recall within those 38 minutes one of the them stated that they discovered something in 16 that isn't even marketed and they asked the team if they were going to market it and EA said no.

Every year, seems like people bring up the wining and dining aspect, but people also forget these guys are going down on their own time and trying to represent the community. ie their own personal vacation time away from work, family time...(there are sacrifices they endure to be wined and dined)

There are a few GCers I will listen to and respect. They don't tell you to go out and buy the game.

I'm with you, used to trust those guys but they switched up imo.

Agreed on them making personal sacrifices. Disagree on them representing the community, well at least representing me. I didn't elect them and I don't pay their salaries. No offense to them in any way.

That's fair enough.

Not to mention some QB's would get annihilated and still complete perfect passes. I hated that. To get pressure on a QB and have him not affected in the slightest. Passing game hasn't felt decent since the PS2 days imo.

Yeah check it out Road. Alot of the show was community talk I just couldn't get with, but there were some little things in there that talked how disappointed in the trailer they were, and how there was alot we're missing out on(which is obvious since it's a teaser trailer), but they seemed to hint toward some major stuff.

That's cool that there is some other stuff that will be mentioned down the road. I just hope that it is implemented correctly and for gosh sakes, can we have penalties that we can adjust without sacrificing gameplay?
