AI hits way too many convenient homers on difficult pitches

the amount of errors, let alone the type of errors are just ridiculous. routine fly balls and ground balls are being botched. its a joke.

the umpires strike zones are a joke. the amount of blatant strikes that i have had called balls is incredible.

dont even get me started on the amount of balls the cpu hits into the gaps compared to the balls i hit directly at its fielders.

its just been frustrating. its not even fun.

i never mind losing, i just hate losing because of stupid game coding, or whatever the problem seems to be.

yes, i've tweaked the sliders. maybe it's just me.
Sounds like we play the same and I was in the same boat as you as I also dislike the coding in this game .
I mean if you dont play alot you cant really notice it but when you do play alot it can be more frustrating than fun like you said even with all the subtle improvements this year .

Bat to ball physics are almost perfect and directional hitting is 100% better than timed BUT do yourself one favor Please try A&S sliders on default as I had my first fun game using them and though its not much different then default he does a great job making the game better and more fun so I hope this helps

Oh one more impressions I wish Post Season mode had the real lighting as the other modes as all games start in pitch dark black and it would be nice seeing dusk or sunset especially out west .

i just played a DD game vs the O's so it was my teams machado against the cpu O's machado.

I guess I was swinging at the wrong pitches. I, machado, hit singles off fastball pitches straight down the middle but the cpu machado went yard twice on sinkers in the dirt.

But in those 6 games neither me or my opponent have scored more than 4 runs in a game. The majority if which came via home run. And in all but 2 of those games the starters were able to go the distance without tiring out that badly. I'm hoping this can just be chalked up to my sample size and low scoring games with pitchers going the distance isn't the norm.
I'm seeing tons of variety in 7 ST games with OAK. I've scored more than 4 runs 3 times already.

The amount of errors you commit is absolutely ridiculous

First my SS lets the ball get between his legs and then my charging OF misses the scoop entirely and lets the ball get all the way to the wall. This kind of sequence has happened at least 3 times in 8 games.

Two games down. Lost to the Marlins 4-3 when Solano belted a three-run homer in the 7th.

Game looks and plays great, but something still feels a bit off to me. It's hard to explain. I think I'm still adjusting from 14 though. I played that game a ton and was still playing it last week. May also be that my first series is in Miami's ballpark.

Something I did in 14 that I'm doing now is slowing the game down. Any speed related slider (baserunner speed, fielder speed, all throwing speeds) I set to 0. May feel too slow at first, but I'm really enjoying it. Seems to open up the game a bit too; I hit seven doubles in the second game against the Marlins (and still lost).

I've never had much trouble with the base running, but the new base runner diamond makes it really easy to see who you're controlling. A nice subtle tweak. I'm also still really enjoying the Season/Franchise menus. Having all that information right in front of me helps me feel more involved with the rest of the league.

The last few years, I've played on Fast Play. I decided to go back to Broadcast presentation for the second game. Man, I didn't realize all that I was missing. No more Fast Play for me, I'll just X through when I want to speed things up.

I'm enjoying the game so far, but find myself missing 14 just a bit. But I think that's more where my comfort zone is. I've got no doubt every thing will click soon for me with 15.

Give um a shot and they go full circle so play a bunch of games before judging and all the stuff you dont like with the coding is very manageable now

I am loving this game and I have only played one game. That the installation starter game. I am my 14' save file and picked in the off season. The trade finder is phenomenal. CPU/AI trade logic seems a lil off still. Graphics, face scans and everything I am digging it as usual.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the lighting in the game. Played an exhibition game at Wrigley set the time for 4 PM in June and I was blown away. Haven't spent too much time with the game yet, but I must say I love the lighting in this game.

Just got my 1st chance to challenge a play,it was a throw from RF and was called safe at 1st,i challenged and got it right, was overturned to out.

I don't remember getting a single runner out at 1st from a throw from RF in 14.

I could put this in the little things but i am sure i heard the crowd chant "throw it Back" after hitting a away HR at wrigley.

And has anyone mentioned how good the lighting is

I like it so far. The game seems more clean in terms of gameplay, especially the fielding. The pitching interface left me cold...I like the old one...this one, the names of the pitches are all over the place in a weird column, bah! I prefer them grouped. The general UI is better to navigate, more intuitive.

The music is less annoying this time. And believe me, it's a plus! I need to get more into it...

Sliders are your friend.

I love this game. It's near perfection, at least to me.

I hate the loss of post game highlights. Why? I used to love getting up after a game to do some light errands or empty the dishwasher while watching them. This is a HUGE loss to me. It may not bother some

I also hate that foul balls are not followed.

Either you are an xbox one troll making stuff up or you never seen a baseball game in your life.

Inside the park homeruns??? Never seen one in 20 games..sounds like a user issue, sorry but hard to take your post serious, fuill of hyperbole, exaggerations and lies.

I have to agree.

Normally, I don't judge other peoples impressions because we all have different experiences and viewpoints.

But, I too have not seen a single inside the park HR in about 15 games. Heck, I don't think I've ever seen one. Nor have I seen more than 1 or 2 triples.

Now, I suppose if the poster is new to the game or very young, it's possible he's having difficulty fielding, maybe missing the cut off man?

My Lord, how does anyone get through that Blue Jay lineup without getting mashed?

Blue Jay fans gotta love that team.

The CPU got an inside the park HR on me last night.

I was getting so sick of watching the CPU flash leather at 3rd and then whatever team I was using watching the 3rd baseman go into the flinch animation when the cpu hits one near 3rd.

So I got the brilliant idea of diving for the ball.

Whoa boy was that a mistake. The 3rd baseman flinched, the split second the ball flew past the 3rd baseman it flipped control to my LF who accepted my controller input and dove. The ball rolled all the way to the wall and my CF had to come all the way over to pick it up and chuck it in. My catcher decided to stand 4 feet inside the 3rd base line so when he caught the throw in he just turned and looked at the runner crossing home.

Not only was it an inside the park homerun. it was a standup inside the park HR. Never seen that before.

I may have to go to auto fielding just so my PRO baseball players can do some of the same magic tricks the CPU can do in the field.
