Regarding the presentation, do they at least have the cheerleaders and mascots during timeouts like they had on last-gen? I know it seems like a silly thing to ask for when everyone is so focused on gameplay, but I'm a sucker for immersion.
So, with what we know about the inclusion of the TNT team, I think I'm on the side of these that feel if a barebones halftime this year means we get the NFL2k5 type halftime next year...
COUNT ME IN! Is there anyone that does NOT fall in that group?
Except it makes me wonder what mainstay will be removed next year. The core feature removal carousel is a bit of a tiring ride.
Crew took 4 years to come back. It was removed originally for cheat prevention. Which became a security effort against hacks. Which became a monetization effort that lead to VC and effecting the playability of multiple modes. Then came back, but not really. And finally came back when no one cared anymore.
My point is just that things do get removed for reasons that don't always turn out. I'd prefer they be left in instead of gutted until a replacement is ready. Especially in an age when disk space and bandwidth are hardly limiting factors anymore.
Yeah I think the argument came from the fact that something was removed because of looking at analytics.
Just talk to people and learn why. I never played nfl2k5 but I've seen that half time show used as a staple model for so many years that is think it would've been noted at least but still. ... maybe they have something in the works for the future so I'm not worried.
I plan on making my own montages anyway
I just hope that this doesn't take out the individual highlights feature in the post game stats menu
if we get signature highlights back and have them work properly I think this halftime show debate would be quieted. that being said, it's honestly not that big of a deal you'll all still buy the game

Yes, cheerleaders and mascots are in this year, which is a good thing!
Seems every year i have my fingers crossed they bring back the post game "game reel" highlight montage that last appeared in 2k11. Those were the best!!! Loved reliving the games i had just played through those. Shame they don't let these graphics shine with something like this (beyond just Jordan POG).

This analytic driven movement of feature removal is wrongheaded in my view. The analytics could just as easily mean it needs to be better-- or that people watch it early on which adds to their enjoyment of the authenticity of the product but page through it later when it gets repetitive.
I knew this was going to be bad when they mentioned that they were looking at usage for modes and features. It's why practice mode got axed last year. I never thought it would be one of their most central and best executed parts of their core game and presentation that would take the hit next.
Someone at 2K is playing Darrel Morey. No that's not a good thing. Heh.
One thing I saw which I loved: replays on fouls even if it's not an and one! Finally!
Now, if they give us replays on dead ball situations instead of immediately after a highlight play I'll be absolutely thrilled! Maybe next year.
Honestly, I couldn't care less about a half-time show. I'm all for information to be kicked out to me when there's a break in the action. However, that's generally after the game. I think there should be a post-game show with stats, analysis, and highlights if anything. It might already be there. lol
I think the V.I.P. stuff should be fleshed out more as well. I absolutely love that stuff, and wish I had that information on hand a bit more as well. Maybe connect that to your app guys?

That's good. Too bad they're not allowed to question the calls in game. Yes. Replays NOT immediately after the play please.
Wonder what the Halftime show will look like during the season with upcoming match ups. I'm not worried about missing highlights with awful camera angles. I actually like the stat screens on it.

We really don't even know if analytics was the reason...we just assumed that from LD2k's post.
besides, 2k has been doing these polls for years...as early as 2k8...they can be a good and bad thing.
Has to be part of the reason. They acquire data as we play and decide from there what users are are doing. Most used dunker, how many points are scored, which teams, which modes are being used etc. This same thing came up with the practice plays.
Every year they have X amount of months and are trying to get more in the games each year. So they are always looking to trim things
What's even more annoying is when guys like you go around
trolling anybody that has constructive criticism about this game
or franchise and being the judge and jury if their opinion is
warranted.
LOL! Seems I hit a nerve enough to get a personal. I'm cool with that. Do me a favor and show me a post where troll ANYONE with a valid and respectfully posted criticism. I'll wait here...

Going around being a cheerleader and mocking customers
that have complaints that you don't have doesn't mean you're
right and they're wrong and doesn't help the situation.
The ONE thing I do consistently is challenge people to try to see every side of a point or issue. The other thing I do is tease hyperbolic posts. So, yeah, maybe I do mock some posters. But I'm pretty sure I don't make the points key points of the criticisms.

We are all NBA 2K fans and love this game but being a hardcore

NICE! I have a rep. That's why I'm here. To be world famous on a message board. "VC is greedy, lazy, don't listen to their customers, and incompetent!". Those kinds of posts are "valid complaints"? It's CLEAR you have no clue what a "valid complaint" post looks like.
