CPU defense is vastly improved and while CPU QB AI still needs a lot of work the offense in general plays better than last gen

I tend to agree with you ( using your sliders too, thx by the Way) but, yes there is a but.

Qb are to alike. Sometimes the backup Qb even outplays the starting Qb. I can't tell the difference between elite and ordinary Qb's.

Progression in cfm is overpowered, it is too easy to progress abillities to 90+

The injury system needs an overhaul, we need to see banged up players on the ol line. Look at the nfl, succes starts and ends with the lines ol and dl. Injuries play a very important part here, nagging injuries that limit players abillity to play is a must.

And last But not least: lets get those WR in the game, just fight for one ball please

I could not agree more. While I think the game itself has made numerous strides there are glaring issues still on the new gen consoles. However I am actually confident WR/DB interaction will be addressed for Madden 16 as an area of focus.

I also would love to see player differentation between elite players, and average players. They made some movement in that direction with QB accuracy. But not enough to move the meter much at all.

As far as injuries....absolutely. I am hoping for a dynamic injury system, with injury effects, probable, questionable and doubtful injury report features, body part degragation etc.

Progression is something you unforutnatley have to have some house rules for if you want to keep the league balanced long term.

For player progression here is what I do.

1. Set CPU Progression to "end of season"
2. In your first year do not use any XP for your players
3. Only use your XP going forward at the end of every pre-season to stay with the CPU's use at the end of every season.
4. Do not upgrade the development trait for any existing players and going forward I only choose one rookie per class per season to upgrade development one notch above their drafted progression trait. That is optional of course. I know guys who never increase the progression trait for any player. It keeps the idea of gem and bust intact for all players. I however like to have a storyline player that get's "coached up" and is my pet project player.

I also read Davon Brown's approach to game prep and if he get's a win he delegates the game prep, if he gets a loss he will manually do game prep. I found that to be very interesting and it can also add another layer of balance.

So if you house rule the XP you can manage it quite well to keep balance in the league.

Will delegating game prep to the cpu really balance player progression?

It's a theory being tested.

I only just started delegating on weeks I win. On weeks I lose I do my own game prep to mitigate the confidence factor which looms large in player/team performance.

Really frustrated here. I abandoned owner mode after completing a season due to the financial issues. Just accepted it, and flipped over to coach mode. Played an entire season there, go to do the draft, I click on the option to start the draft, the screen just changes to as if the draft is completed. I look at the list of drafted rookies, every team is blank. It's as if the NFL cancelled the draft this year. So, free agency is over, I have roster holes, and no way to fill them because the draft just... disappeared.

Not trying to be one of them overly dramatic people here, but if I didnt want to keep this for multiplayer games with friends on my couch, I'd likely trade it in this week when I pick up the Halo collection. I just can't be bothered to play through the schedule again to hope not to hit another CFM glitch that ends it for me.

I haven't read all 112 pages or whatever. Im wondering if its a shiny toy that wears off quickly. First 20 pages seemed to be rather glowing praise. Last ten or so the complete opposite. I realize ppl are different. But sounds like the game still has many of the same problems just with better graphics.

Agreed. Last Madden I owned was 12. I decided to pick it up as it was on sale (plus wanted a new gen version) and it just feels like the same game to be honest. There have been tweaks but the old problems are still present with new ones added along the way.

I'm just keeping it for local coop with my mates as that is fun and a good laugh.

I'm not bothering with Franchise cause the gameplay isn't realistic (imho) and I get bored quickly playing against the CPU due to this.

I just want a realistic game of football and once again Madden fails. (imho)

I would be very curious to see a video/documentary on how the madden dev team spends there time between releases as well as how testing and quality control actually goes into the game. We have endless examples of unfinished modes, flawed sim stats etc... Most companies whether they sell video games or cars would never put a product into the market that resembles the quality of madden. I am pulling and rooting for EA to get this right sooner or later so I can once again enjoy the game I have come to love playing. Seriously if it takes you a year to put out the product you have given us then I think you might be in the wrong business. Please just get it right. I so wanna enjoy playing this game for more than one season without the games flaws halting my exp.

I agree. In general, I think EA tends to over think and over complicate things. They design the logic around a certain set of variables. And if your gameplay experience goes outside EA's expected criteria, then things get wonky.

This may not be a great analogy, but Chess is a pretty simple game. At least from a mechanics/rules standpoint. But the strategy is very complex....and because of that, people have been playing the game for hundreds of years.

Until ppl literally boycott one year nothing will drastically change. Theyve been allowed to be lazy and sloppy and rewarded for it.

I completely agree. I have been playing video games for a long time, but I don't ever recall a time will I flip flopped with older versions as much as I have recently. I am still playing M25 and I like some of it's features. But I miss some stuff from '12....so I periodically put that in...only to remember a bunch of things that I didn't like so I go back to M25...rinse and repeat.

Not sure if it is me or the games themselves? But in the past, when a new game came out, there was usually no looking back.

Brandford Hall & the 'Comeback Kids' face some adversity in Week 7 vs. the Dolphins.

I cant complain i've absolutely enjoyed this game.
its hard to hit the nail on the head in all phases of the game but my only gripe would be the limited camera in CFM (as a player).

I gave this game up months ago and see they still can't get the sack "non-issue" fixed. I've played every madden that has been made.(yeah i'm old) and they just get worse and worse. I will not buy another football game from EA ever. They will never come close to anything that plays like a real game of football. *End Rant

With this latest patch the sacks have toned down a lot.

After this latest patch, I haven't been able to stop playing. Aside from lack of penalties still, I'm actually content with this game, and this coming from one of the biggest Madden blasters of all time.

I wasn't supposed to buy this game this year. I was going to skip it. Madden 13 was the last time I bought the game. But it was available at about 1/2 price on a Black Friday sale and seeing as more than 1/2 the regular season is behind us, I guess that sounds fair. So I picked it up. This game has it's warts. But I am still having fun with it. But I have to ask. Has anyone seen a missed field goal in this game. Every field goal from the CPU is straight down the middle. I have the distance slider set to 20 and the field goal accuracy slider set to 0 and yet hitting 50+ yard field goals happens every time. I know this didn't happen in Madden 13. In Madden 13 I typically set the distance slider above 50 but set the accuracy slider around 35 and would occasionally see missed field goals.

There is so much potential in this game, but since it is the only football game on the market, we never get to see the true potential. Monopolies s###.
