I think Madden 09 was almost as bad with robot qb if I remember correctly.Madden 12 was tuned where the CPU qb accuracy slider would be at least in the 60's for them to get a good range of completion pct. It's gotten to where you have to go single digits and still have problems.

Can anyone confirm that--I'm guessing he meant the roster update and not patch--improved physics and gang tackling? Is that true?

Well, after having played this game since launch (offline) here are my quick thoughts. I think the defence plays better and the line interaction is better, but still not where we need to be.
The players on defence still don't read my plays, even after I go to the same one over and over. Star defensive players still react like everyone else.

On offence and defence, there is no concept of the two minute drill for the Ai or even my coach suggestions on plays.

You never see the Ai change plays, especially when I play against Denver and Manning. Where is the Ai and hurry up?

Lack of any pass interference

No replays, booth reviews for side line plays or fumbles.

Every team plays the same, I don't fear a pass versus run or a swarming defence.

I don't like that my running back gets stuck on the back of a defensive line man as I blow through what should be a hole.

My receivers can still catch a ball that warps through defenders.

I still see many, many, many things that have been an issue for many years.

Overall I like the game, but it still has a long ways to go to make it competitive offline.

The last version of Madden I played was Madden 12, yet this game feels pretty much the same. I was expecting a little more. The lack of intensity or penalty calls from the line of scrimmage needs to be worked on to make this game better.

I still feel like I'm playing a generic football game with the NFL license. I love the graphics, I'll even give EA a nod in the presentation department. It isn't the best, but it's better than nothing. Definitely doesn't wow me.

I just feel like i'm forcing myself to like this game. Every game I feel like I'm playing the same team no matter who I play. That's what I mean when I say this game has no soul. Graphically, the game grabs you, but once you get into the nuts and bolts of the game, you left feeling unsatisfied.

Whatever happened to QB signature throwing styles? All QBs throw the same, very stiff and awkward. Yet another regression from this title.

Man, I just can't find a sweet spot with this game. I spend more time trying to accept the shortcomings than marveling (a la The Show). After last night's experience, I was left feeling so bitter and disappointed, my evening was ruined. Time to move on I guess, dang it.

I couldn't agree more with regards to QB signature throwing styles, and also I spend time trying to accept shortcomings and it's a bummer. On the other side of it I can't say it's ruined an evening. EA said in this thread that there was a fix for this item in the works, but I've been waiting like the rest of us for this massive patch...

Well, I gave it the old college try but have come to the conclusion that Madden 15 does not do enough well to keep me interested for the long haul. Graphics and improved presentation is not enough to keep me invested. I need to feel the passion and excitement that is NFL football, but sadly it is not found here.

I wish Madden could overcome some of their legacy issues (Robo QB, suction/warping tackling, poorly executed CFM, very bad player movement and same old animations...where's the physics man!) as I feel the game is moving in the right direction, but just slow enough to anger many of the long time fans (investors) who should be getting a better product. I feel like I paid $60 for a game that really only works well in "Play Now" mode.

I will probably revert back to Madden 25 for my "Play Now" football fix, and go trade in Madden 15 now for the maximum value and pick up Destiny. That should get me through until NBA 2K comes out for a truly in-depth franchise mode and next-gen sports experience. May consider picking this game up again around Christmas time when it will go on sale for $39.99 or less, but that will depend on the patches they release and if they truly fix some of the major issues that drag down an otherwise good game of football.

I am wondering the same thing. Why were signature QB styles taken out and will it be patched back in? Its just mind boggling because Madden 15 on last gen systems have QB throwing styles.

Its been states several times here, they aren't working due to a bug. Should be fixed in next patch.

This game needs more of everything, but when ea adds something, they really want us to know it. I see that crossover/shot celebration every game lol.

Wish they had a season mode like in previous iterations.

What really sucks is that in every freaking game I play, I give up 1 30+yard play because the conservative tackle does absolutely nothing. The defender will do a stutter step animation and stop. This happened twice on one play before on a drag route for a 56 yard TD. Both defenders were within a yard and had the angle. It's ridiculous when the game establishes that it can be regularly used within about 3 yards...

EDIT: Like this, which just happened to me on 3rd and 9 from their own 8 for 32 yards.

And once again I'm stuck in a phase where All Pro has become too easy and All Madden is not fun due to CPU ratings boosts.

Passing game is still challenging for me on all-pro but I can't say the same for my running game.
That O1 Trap run play. Guaranteed 5+ yrds on every down. If CPU was smart enough to pinch their dline when necessary, it wouldn't be a problem imo.

What do you mean 01?

I wish I could have your problems... My linemen are ignoring DTs and running into eachother on every power or zone play. I call a 3 WR set and change it to a Power because there's only 5 defenders in the box and 2 defenders in the box on that side... 1 gets double teamed, the other immediately sheds the TE block and gets ignored by the pulling guard... 4-yard loss.

Same thing on End Around plays in Singleback Bunch: Packers were in 2-4-5 Nickel with only the DT and Clay Matthews in the box to the play side (so, 3v2 for OL)... they double-teamed both linemen (even the one behind the play) and the LT Jake Long sprinted up the field to block a safety... Matthews gets me for a 5-yard loss. He was the only defender that could actually threaten to stop it and he goes unblocked.

I flat out refuse to play all-madden, I'm sticking with all-pro. Playing all madden just feels like I have to spam certain aspects of the game to win, which leaves a empty filing after a game.

One thing I saw yesterday that was pretty cool, was a highlight clip on how I was pressuring Ryan Fitzpatrick. I sacked him 3 times and during the first drive of the 4th quarter they ran the highlight of my QB sacks while Phil Simms talked about it. Pretty neat.
