Madden NFL 15 News Post

Looking at the list of upcoming demos for the week (via PlayStation.Blog), it doesn't appear as though we will see a Madden NFL 15 demo this week and odds are we won't see one next week either.

Things could change, but it doesn't look like we get a Madden demo this year. It could have something to do with EA Access, but that is an Xbox One exclusive. Who really knows, but it certainly doesn't look promising.

We have sent a note to EA Sports and if we get an official response we will update this post.

UPDATE: Just received an official response from EA Sports. Confirmed: No Madden NFL 15 demo.

UPDATE #2: (Polygon received a more detailed response)

Quote:
Update: While EA initially declined to comment on the reasons for the lack of a Madden 15 demo, an EA representative reached out to Polygon after the publication of this story with the following statement to provide some additional context: "The difficult decision not to do a demo for Madden was strictly a result of the team's commitment to deliver the highest-quality game possible. We chose to put 100 percent of our development resources toward the full game."

The solution is simple, you don't like the inability to try before you buy, then do not buy. EA reacts to one thing, SALES. if they plummet, then the things missing from the game will start to appear because they want your sales. But if you just whine about it here on OS, and buy the game anyway, well, you are a part of your own problem. Me, I will be buying, I like what I see with improvements to line play so far. That was the hang up for me. If line play wasn't improved I was skipping, much like I am skipping 2k basketball this year because things I wanted in weren't fixed. I voted with my wallet. hopefully other will vote with theirs for things they want.

As A PS4 owner Im not tripping, this whole EA Accsess thing seems to good to be true there is some kind of catch. You have to think Sony would not turn down a deal that would put it at an even greater advantage than the XBOX. In A few months we will see if the EA Accsess thing is worth it. I can wait till the 26th, ive got things leading up to it that im excited about like picking up the wave blue DS4 tomorrow. No demo not a big deal.

Sounds like a lot of free press about Xbox One and EA Access in that case. That'd be a win-win, since the lack of a demo shouldn't have much of an impact on sales. This is especially the case if the overall early access experience is a positive one. Remains to be seen though if that'll be marred itself by time limits, etc.

Although I didn't experience disappearing players, that was unfortunate, but hey it got patched... If only we live in a perfect World... lol

zero tolerance policy ? today ?

meaning what ?

and why is the official announcement of this new policy not prominently addressed in its own thread

instead of being buried within this thread ?

changing rules in a Discreet fashion isnt fair.

It's actually in several places. There's a thread in Steve's forum. There is an announcement above every forum and I posted a link to it in the rules thread stickied to the too of this one.

the thread title should have been direct

instead of metaphorical, in my opinion

there is some room there for misinterpreting the subject of that sticky.

duely noted though, thanks

Meaning zero tolerance is in effect and we will ban anyone that violates those rules. Banned users names are turned pink after banning.

Well I really believe EA is doing one of two things here. Kinda 3.

1. Covering flaws, there is something major wrong they can't fix and don't want us seeing it until we spend 60$

2. Its ballsmazing and they want us to just be blindly blown away.

3. Cutting budgets and not doing demo, which would be odd considering EA UFC had a demo. That IMO was terrible.

Watch other EA Sports game release a demo, Madden is always behind for some reason.

Just to be clear EA access was never given as the reason for no demo by EA. Just just speculation by users here.

I personally don't buy it. I'm almost certain it was just choice and there's been various reasons as to why demos make little sense in this thread and others.

Well if I don't like the game I'll just trade it in.

EA don't like that do they?

I can wait ten more days forbthe full game.
I may have missed something but when did EA announce that EA access would be out by 8/21? Just because that is 5 days before Madden doesnt guarantee they dont have issues and delay it.

Actually they don't care much, they've already gotten paid for that unit.
