The second two are what EA wants you to think you're getting. The enhancements are night and day in my opinion.

The funny thing is the Kuechly screenshots are blended into the trailer and many won't even notice. It's pretty shady if you ask me.
We also haven't seen real gameplay yet so it could still go downhill even more.

The 2K talk ends now. We are on next gen systems so there really isn't a need to continue to bring it up. Warnings and bannings to those that want to continue that tall track here.

I think you may be right. His skin color looks different and he has better muscle definition. In the bottom picture, his facemask seems to be in the proper position. Also, would he do two different celebrations on the same play?

They should add the 3/4 Lebron sleeve Richard Sherman wears.

Would be great if they brought over things from NCAA.

In all seriousness, those first two picks look the exact same to me. What differences do you see? Personally I think the first pic looks better than the second one.

never really understood why they haven't imported all the equipment the first year it was in NCAA and why it was so hard to give RG3 his one sleeve and can't give it to anyone else

Seems to me they would rather spend development time on other aspects of the game. Things like accessories are only noticed by very few people. Same with tattoos. EA knows their fan base and would rather spend their time and resources on what their market wants. Companies cut corners like this all the time. Do I agree with it in this regard? No but it happens everywhere, every day, in every company. That's reality. I don't want to single out EA, and not to bring it up again, but look at 2k. Their online servers have been terrible for literally a decade. No matter how much people complain they still don't address the issue. When your a video game company that makes millions of dollars, it's not that you can't fix something, it's that you chose not to.

There textures, lighting, detail, and color are better in the second two enhanced pictures and it's not even close. But if you can convince yourself the first one is better, more power to you. I won't be fooled.

You're not the target audience for the two enhanced shots. You don't care about that level of detail, and that's fine, but some people do care. The two enhanced shots were designed to wow and sway people who are the fence. The people who are fooled are the same one's you'll find on this forum, right after release, complaining about how they were duped. I'm pointing that out because I hate to see that happen.

I would have bought a next gen system based on those two shots. At least now I know that I can wait quite a bit longer.

Here's an analysis I made based off the trailer in slow motion. I made this a thread but it was taken down... so I'll put it here.

Quite honestly, we shouldn't care what it looks like. I want to players TO MOVE, PLAY, AND THINK like they would in an actual game on Sunday.

Your analysis is thorough, features some very constructive criticism, and points out the positives in gameplay. I share the same views as you and I am optimistic about the game this year. However it seems we are in the minority.

That double sack at the end looked phenomenal, the chiefs one. If they have gang tackles that organic, that is a big positive. It's year 3 of the infinity engine. So far the tackling looks good. Remember when we didn't even have gang tackles or double hit tackles.

The ignite engine is capable of animating well. Look at game like fifa there is some really nice animation. Even madden have some nice animations. You can tell between the newer animation ala line play from last yea and the legacy animations like the back pedal which needs to be redone. The problem is EA needs to address those legacy animations and redo them all. They also need multiple animation for the same scenario. The game will also seem like there is more variety if there was multiple WR stance, multiple route running style, multiple running form, multiple RB stance, fifa jousting for WR/DB interaction. There should not be any excuse this generation with plenty of power and space for those animations. Sideline needs to be address also players need to look like there counter part on the field even if it's a little bit lower resolution like nba 2K

Wow some of those animations are pretty cool. However, they need to redo a ton. The route running looks off. But there ate some pretty ones in there. Madden seems very herky, jerky and twitchy. Instead of smooth. The animations are weird like the WWE games. Really fast and unnatural.

I'm on board with you. Great break down of the video in pointing out some positive points. Let's hope some of these developments carry over into the longer gameplay videos were are sure to see next week.

I wish I could disagree with you, or even say the top shot is old gen (PS3 and XBOX 360) while the bottom 2 are Next Gen "in game" shots, but I'm not buying fools gold until I see unedited gameplay videos with graphics close to the bottom two pics!
