I have the CPU QBs run almost every other pass after only looking for WRs for a brief second. Rather have them run too often then never, but it gets old after so long.

Am I the only one? (Keep in mind, I love this version more than any other current gen football game so I am not complaining)
Yes, this is the same as on '13. I play as a DE and it seems like my guy is magnetically repelled when the QB is about to be sacked. The QB takes off to the right and goes for a first down with little resistance. This sequence plays out far too often. The adjustment to aggressive contain limits it, however.

If you have an older copy, use Xan's editor and create a config off of your Profile save, then go to UINF tab and edit PSLS to 127 and UOPT tab and edit OPLS to 127.

You'll accomplish what you're looking for without slider adjustments.
The QB ratings affect both AI/HUM as well as more of an impact on the gamer because it depends on how you push the RS on the throw.

I've seen balls skip off the ground in front of the WR on 20 yrd wide field out throws because my QB arm strength wasn't strong enough to make the throw on a bullet pass.

There's alot of stuff that's not turned on or needs a value input to be used.
It's all in the Dynasty Editor thread.
For me it's a bug. Of I need a outside PC editor to hack into the profile and change game editor not included in the game.

Yeah I keep thinking is a bug or sliders don't work as good as they should.

They are 0 to 100. Make it work ea

I guess I'm not seeing the same DB Glitch as last year in this year's demo. Last year, the glitch was blatant and obvious in the demo and it was blatant and obvious in the game play videos EA released. I was one of the people railing against it because it was just so obvious that they hadn't touched it demo to release. This year, I am truly not seeing it that much.

Keep in mind I haven't touched sliders and switch between AA and Heisman, but I feel like the plays a safety got smoked were because it was a good play call that had been set up or a good matchup. I've seen the videos/images some have posted so it very well might be there, but I just don't see anything that I'm getting to worked up over. I've gone an entire demo of calling nothing but vertical routes vs a variety of coverages and the safeties continuously got as deep as the deepest. The only times the safeties really came up hard was off play action, which seems to make sense.

That isn't to say four verts wasn't working, because it was, but the CPU came out in Cover 2 an awful lot and four verts is a cover 2 beater so that isn't a problem.

The only "glitches" I have seen are busted animations. Some automotion handoffs between QB and HB are messed up and I've seen a few really awkward tackle animations. Also had a few INT's on tipped passes that obviously hit the ground but upheld as INT. I'm not sure if it is a "glitch" but I've had a number of plays where I was unable to manually motion a receiver despite no previous motions and no automotion assignment.

As for the colors, I like them. Keep in mind colors vary from set to set, not sure different models but different versions of the exact same TV. That doesn't even account for varieties of settings. Unless you have a television that has been professionally calibrated, it is highly likely you are not seeing the same colors developers see. Heck, there's no guarantee you're seeing the same colors as someone else commenting in the thread. All that said, the colors are certainly more saturated this year and it was desperately needed. Everything had been way too washed out in recent years. I'd rather they err on the side of saturated and "cartoonish" than washed out.

Demo of NCAA 14 ok. Does seem to have some improvements over last years version. I am a Michigan fan and wanting to know what is up with the gray only facemask. I have not read anything that the program was switching to gray from blue. Also the throwbacks that were present last year are gone with the exception of the Alabama unis. No block M's on the socks and no layers? No matte helmet? Which may come in the promised DLC, but I won't hold my breath. This is a video game so let the gamer have choices and have fun with the game changing things up with the looks of the unis. VT doesn't have gray face masks either. Decent playing experience.

Yep, the QB is way to quick to resort to run on 13 (scramble type QB's only). And I'm glad someone else notices that it's almost always to the right, easily over 90% tendency. I play as DE as well, but when I play a team with a scramble-happy QB, I often end up with 3 sacks or so because I can catch him before he makes the LOS.

Hope they've tightened that up for 14.

Another thing I like about this game...wide receivers and running backs catching balls near the sideline can no longer turn right around and magically turn up the sideline...momentum now carries them out when you try to turn up the field. I like that

Hey guys, I haven't read the entire thread so maybe someone has mentioned this already. Anyway, is anyone having trouble maintaining speed with a running back after receiving a pitch? What happens is, when I pitch the ball on an option play, then I take control of the back and he basically just stops running for a split second, kind of like a stutter step. I figured there's something I'm doing wrong in regards to the acceleration button. Could anyone shed some light on this for me?

For any guys with Twitter, please tweet your concerns regarding CPU 3rd down playcalling, which the CPU usually calls a 4 vertical or HB screen.

Now one thing I do hate is the new no huddle system. First of all, it is glitched out. If you start in a certain personnel, it forces you into a formation with completely different personnel. Second, the fact that I'm forced into anything is foolish. I get why it was put in, but it is a very poor system. If you start in Pistol Full House, three HB package, you're pretty much stuck in it. In '13, I used to start in Pistol Full House and then go to Shotgun Spread Flex and run Load/Motion Option as sort of a Gun Triple offense. I can't do that now.

It's a game breaker IMO. It's been a problem for 10 years now and EA refuses to fix it. All I want in this world (from a football game) is for me to hit a button and have the man I'm controlling actually perform the expected task. EA cannot fix this to save their lives...it's very frustrating.
Wait, when I switch, it switches me to the right guy. I've gotten 2 pick 6's back to back because of it.

Still having a blast with the game. Messing around now with sliders so hopefully the retail isn't far off so I can be pretty much set to play at release.

What are you testing Randy?

Sorry to see that's how you feel because there is an avenue that puts the ability to tinker the game to "Your" liking available.

If gamer's are waiting for a Developer to make it work according to what they want, it will be a long wait.

Xan has provided an option to give "YOU" the gamer, more control of your game (provided the saves are not coded differently) so that you don't have to con't to kick the same dead horse in frustration.

Next-Gen games will go through the same process these console games went through, as well as the xbox and PS2, as well as Super Nintendo, as well as Atari and Colecovision etc...

It's always been that way.

Hope you change your mind and give the Editor a test.
I believe you'll be more satisfied than what it seems you are now.

Visit the Dynasty Editor thread if you get a chance.

The basics mainly. Speed differences and just watching Ol/DL play.

I want there to be a noticeable difference in players and having mismatches that matter. Tired of Joe Schmoes playing equal to star players. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Some of these people playing this game must have mad stick skills. My games for the most part are low scoring games. Some people are saying that they got 200 yds rushing in a game. I'm not saying they are lying, but dang from 3 min quarters. I always thought I was a decent gamer, but I guess I was wrong.

I'm still having a lot of fun playing the demo. I'm even playing on all-american not heisman. and having trouble winning games. The gameplay in my opinion is way better.

In last years game, I played on heisman. And managed to win the national championship in my first year with Mississippi State .

I might be a little rusty though didn't play 13 for about 2 months at the most.

I just don't see how people think this years game is just as easy. Maybe after playing the demo a few more times, I will change my mind.

Seems like this year has gone a long way in eliminating that problem, no? Can really tell the difference between great halfbacks, at the very least. I've mostly been observing line play and the impact players seem to be noticeably better at pushing the line back.

Well, I'm going to stay positive in light of the DB Glitch and some of the remarks stating the demo is an earlier build than what was on E3. So here's to hoping. But if it is still around - you can be your flippin you know what that I will raise hell - even more than last year.

# 799 mrprice33 @ 06/20/13 10:48 PM
I think what some people think the DB glitch is not and is instead remaining deficiencies in DB AI which, while better, isn't perfect by any means.

Yeah this needs to be addressed. Way too predictable.
