Just had a fantastic game playing on Heisman/Heisman.

I was Texas A&M, playing against Oregon.

We went 4 quarters, and I missed a point-blank FG with no time left in the 4th quarter to send the game to overtime. (Thanks for the icing the kicker feature, EA)

On to overtime. We played 4 overtimes - and in the final overtime, I went for 2, and I made it. Oregon had their turn, scored on 1 play, and then on the 2-pt conversion, they ran a read option, and I stuffed it with an edge blitz.

I won 25-24, and it felt great. Although I did have 18 1st downs throughout the game, I just had lots of trouble in the red zone, missing two FGs.

My QB, Johnny Manziel, finished with 24-35 completions, 231 yards, 2 TD, No INTs.

I agree. The DB glitch, in case someone isn't familiar, is when a DB doesn't cover his area during a deep pass and just runs around in short sprints, usually towards the sidelines or the LOS. Pretty much leaving a guy wide open that he was supposed to cover or help in covering. It's NOT just a Safety that is awful at pass coverage. There is an animation involved.

Here's a video showing it in action:

Now, I haven't seen this animation yet this year, but I HAVE seen some sub-par coverage from time to time.

Out of curiosity I just played a game with default settings on Varsity, only lowering speed threshold to 30.

This may sound like blasphemy to hard core fans and those who pride themselves on being better than others, but I really felt like I got the most realistic results in that game.

The psychic coverage was gone and it just felt like the CPU was only making plays (or not) based on physical abilities, and not on cheating AI.

I think there is a pride factor where many people want to beat a challenging game and I totally get that. However, when you bump up the difficulty level in sports games you are essentially enhancing the levels at which the CPU "cheats".

I'll have to play around with this some more, but if nothing else I'm satisfied that the sliders (in the demo anyway) that impact AI for the CPU are working.

I don't wanna read through 800+ comments but maybe someone has pointed this out already. Has anyone had lag issues in the PS3 version when the opposing team is running a no-huddle and your defense menu doesn't come up and actually sometimes comes up halfway when the other team has hiked the ball?

I play on 360 also and I haven't experienced this issue. I asked a co-worker about this today and he thinks I'm just a PS3 *****. WTF man. Obviously I'm not since I HAVE a PS3. It isn't my fault that PS3 has only 256mb of memory ram vs the 360's 512!

Yeah, I've posted it before, and I think a few others have also. Really sucks..

Not only have like 300 people posted about it, but I've said that this was not an issue on the PS3 version at E3, which I assume was closer to final.

I saw the animation twice in one game and once in another today. That's what I was referring to earlier when I described the safety as doing the Super Bowl Shuffle.

i find it schocking most people are OK with this trend by the cpu

its sooo predictable but people are in the honeymoon phase of the running Qb's and no attention will be paid to this issue until all the patches/tuners are gone...

Ok great that's why I said my disclaimer of not wanting to read through 800+ comments. Thanks.

The reason I ask is because even though the PS3 version has a few more jaggies, I like the look better than the 360 even though 360 has less jaggies but has more of a blurry look.

Surprisingly, I haven't had that issue. A lot of the issues people been having, I haven't had.

Just got my hands on the demo after a thrilling mission trip in philly and im excited to finally put my hands on the game. after playing 2 and a 1/2 games on the demo, there is no doubt that this game feels more fluid than ever. i felt total control with my players momentum and speed as i used cuts and jukes steadily through the holes. the cool thing is that you could more jukes or fast jukes when youre not using the acceleration burst which i thought was really realistic. presentation wise its the best its ever been. i turned up the crowd noise more than everything else and it made a HUGE difference. the only thin i do not like however is the td wipes. they dont seem fluid and i have never seen those wipes in an espn broadcast and i just thought it looked too rtg to me. i really love playing the game and i cant wait until the ups guy comes july 9th

Does anyone REALLY KNOW that the E3 demo was a later build or is that just another one of those OS rumors guys like to start?

So much this. People recently figured out that another game's (I won't name it so as not to take this off-topic, but you can probably guess) highest difficulty levels jack the CPU's offensive and defensive awareness to the moon (+20 on both), as well as several other key attributes. I have no doubt that Heisman and All-Madden do something similar with certain ratings.

I don't really care what level I play on as long as the game plays well. And I agree there is far less route mirroring and generally unfair gameplay at both NCAA and Madden's lower levels.

I believe that mprice33 said that the demo build was not the final build. He was at E3.

Thanks, PV. I hope that's accurate, for GameChangers, Mods and Youtubers sake - because I'm going to a pain in someone's side if that DB glitch shows up.

And btw - for those that want to see the DB glitch - in NCAA 13, just go to play call screen, change your Adjustment to "Aggressive" for Pass Coverage and start seeing your DBs sprint towards the LOS or sidelines after following their receivers for a brief moment.

I think it has more to do with people just not wanting to accept this is another minor upgraded game.

If you notice there are some guys who will actually get upset when you point out flaws that still exist with gameplay.

It's one thing to proclaim the game as the best ever on this console gen. It's another thing to blindly ignore some of the issues that still remain after several years now.

The game is definetly worth purchasing but I'm not going to pretend as if it's a totally new game when in reality very few things have changed about it.

well I like mrprice33 alot and always follow what's he's got to say about football games (mainly Madden) but I need more than that, especially when I'm playing a game (that EA has given me to entice me to buy the "final" product) and the db bolts for the LOS when the ball is in the air headed to the guy he's covering.

I saw it once tonight in 23 pass attempts. Mostly deep balls. So it is in the demo, albeit in a limited way since tonight was the first time I've seen it. However, I noticed that passing is incredibly easy in the demo, even on Heisman with pass coverage sliders up to 100. At one point in a game of ORE/TAM I was 18-23 for 455 yards an 6 TDs and 0 INTs (played offense for both teams). Now, I didn't crank up the difficulty to Heisman with the sliders up until the middle of the 1st Q, and I had already gotten a drive in with both teams, so the numbers could be skewed. However, I was 9-9 with the TAM QB.

EDIT: Ok, I may have spoke too soon. Passing with VT against Alabama on Heisman with max sliders isn't easy at all. LOL

EDIT 2: Alright. Alabama is amazing. That wasn't fair. I had to quit in the 2nd Q because I had already thrown 3 picks. Back to fix the sliders down to a more reasonable level. Got a little too big headed there for a bit.
