Yes absolutely. The players have weight to them..****nning the ball feels a lot better on 14. No question.

Passing game though feels exactly the same (which is fine as I loved passing in 13 except the 4 vert exploit).

Does anyone else feel the CPU QB takes off too often (or too quickly)?

I have the CPU QBs run almost every other pass after only looking for WRs for a brief second. Rather have them run too often then never, but it gets old after so long.

Am I the only one? (Keep in mind, I love this version more than any other current gen football game so I am not complaining)

That's all Miller does when I play against OSU. Even with a spy every play he will still do it....

There the easiest CPU team for me to best because of it.

I am just thankful that the cpu shows more dimensions on offense than it has in years. For what feels like this entire generation, the cpu has been a sometimes unstoppable passing offense, and that's it.

I'm gonna try to stay optimistic.
I've had the opposite luck with getting open deep. Twice while running 4-Verts I was wide open deep down the middle, and that was late in a half after I had basically ran the ball the entire game. The rest of the time my guy was blanketed by a DB and I was picked by a safety another time. I even played an entire Q on offense with both teams (TAM/ORE) and did nothing but throw deep with variations of 4-Verts. I was sacked numerous times and picked another. Last year I could complete a 4-Verts pass down the middle whenever I wanted. This year that doesn't happen, at least it doesn't for me. However, the short slants over the middle are just as easy to complete as in years past. Especially when you Hot Route your WR.

Oh, and as for the play call screen not popping up during the CPU no-huddle: That hasn't happened to me. I get restless however, and have been pushing X (or maybe it was A on the 360, I don't remember) if the screen doesn't pop up immediately. Seems to be working.

You hadnt seen it for sure but then you saw it on one play.... That doesnt means its a glitch. Blown coverage happens.

I've listed six glitches (including the DB glitch which I truly hope gets fixed) without getting bashed because I've also listed over a dozen positives. It's all about providing a balanced perspective. Too many times (I'm guilty too) we jump in here as soon as something bad happens and list it and then get caught up arguing with someone who hasn't seen the glitch we've seen. Then others see it and label us as "complainers" because we've posted 4-5 times back-to-back (albeit in the context of a dialogue) about the same issue. What we have to remember even in our moments of frustration is that this game has a lot of praiseworthy aspects to it.

For example, I think the player models don't look as good as they did in 11, but at least they are improved from 12 and 13 (on PS3). And the fields and overall color palette of the game never looked so good, IMO.

Also, I'm not crazy about the coordinator cam because there are just too many jaggies, so I would never play from that camera (player models almost look PS2ish from that angle). But at the same time, I really like the zoom camera. As a matter of fact, I think the graphics look better in the zoom camera than with the normal camera. Plus with the zoom camera, I like how you can see more of the stadium and the lighting, which adds to the grandeur of feeling like I'm playing in front of 75,000 people.

Which team are you playing against? I noticed in games against VT and Oregon that their QBs take off the most. Is that their style in real life?

Is anybody else still having trouble downloading the demo on 360? I don't have Gold so I can't download from Xbox.com. I downloaded it on my ps3 as soon as it was available, but still can't get it on my 360. Its just not there

Pretty sure you have to have Gold to get it. It'll be available for Silver members probably next week.

If you can't find it, search NCAA in Bing.

It doesn't show up in bing. It is on the main demo screen but it gives me an error. When I look up that error code on Xbox it says something about changing privacy and family settings. Everything is pretty well open and it still gives the same error. Thanks for the reply.

If you are a Silver member, like me, you will not have access until about a week after availability to the Gold members. Just keep checking and one day, you will be allowed to download the Demo - probably Tuesday June 25.

Not like this. Your reply is the same stuff some people would parrot again and again last year to defend the obvious flaw. More than enough people in this thread have said they have seen it that I can safely assume it is still a big problem in the demo. I can't believe people are still defending it.

I don't believe it's as prevalent in the demo as it was last year. At least not in my time with the demo.

Who said that and how did they test for it? I don't know if any of the videos I've seen from E3 really tested it. I dont remember so anyway. And spamming 4 verts isn't testing it.

Anyone else notice on defense when you go to switch to a defender near the ball carrier, you change to a guy 20 yards in front, so when you go to quickly dive at him, you open up a big lane for him instead?

And when people quote and reply or reference me in a post, i'm only responding. Best part about this game is how the colors pop. But it's hard me to find a lot of positives specifically. Especially when everytime I play the demo I experience hair pulling glitches. I don't think coming on here and saying the WR tries hard to keep his toes in bounds when catching is a positive that's really important. There aren't a lot of positives IMO defensively and that makes an uneven game. Passing was easy for me, running is overpowering this year.

So I know I come across like a Negative Nancy but that's because that's the way the game makes me feel. I don't want to be negative all the time, i swear, and those who remember me from the old site I was on and the first few years I joined this site I was loving this game and I was very postive. I enjoyed NCAA 11 a lot, played the hell out of it. I didn't start to become more negative until NCAA 12. That was the first time I stopped playing the game after a month or 2, usually I would be playing NCAA Football year round. Then it was followed with NCAA 13 which I thought was bad and decided to skip it because I did not feel they made significant enough improvements and now this year so for the last 3 years i've been more negative than positive but before that most of you would probably be calling me an EA fanboy for how positive I was about NCAA Football, it was always my favorite game each year.

I don't enjoy being able to score at will if I need to, I don't like how defense seemed to be ignored again and I don't enjoy stale presentation so when you combine those 3 things it's hard for me to come in here and start talking about how great this game is. This game is no doubt an improvement on the past 2 years. If you enjoyed those games you'll love this game, if you didn't like those games then it's probably 50/50 whether you'll like this game because even though it's improved, it still feels like it will get stale fast. That's just a little perspective on where i'm coming from.

I agree with everything you said though
Much different with me. I hated NCAA and Madden 13, traded NCAA in for Madden 13.

I popped the demo open yesterday and after a few games, the pros outweighed the cons for me. That didn't happen for me in last years demo, I was lukewarm on the demo.

There are sliders to fix your issues with the pasing game being too easy. Agree, the presentation is stale, but I'll take much improved game play over presentation. if I had a choice.

I came in this thread once and gave my impression.

I look for people like GMMS who has been fair and constructive over the years to see if my opinion lies with theirs. He happens to enjoy the demo this year.

Well on Heisman offense & defense with 3 min quarters I had over 200+ rushing with Oregon using option plays. Not sure what I think of that but hopefully the computer is more competitive in this years game than last years.

The commentators are still awful and say things that don't make sense which I hope is still fixed. (For example ball is on my own 30 and it's 3rd and 8. Commentators say "This is a big 3rd and goal right here!")

I haven't seen the DB glitch but at the same time I haven't really tried hard to find it, only tried a couple of plays.

I like the wide camera a lot for running plays but for passing plays it's not so good as it's hard to see down the middle of the field sometimes.
