I preordered today. And have only played two games. Michigan vs OSU and Alabama vs Virginia Tech. Won both games but enjoyed both. Funny thing is it was harder for me to beat VT as Bama than it was for me to beat OSU as MICH.

I do feel they could change some of the end game animations. How many times do we have to see our guys run through that generic tunnel and high five the fans the exact same way?

Sounds like the QB accuracy sliders work, I hope they work in dynasty. They didn't work last year.

Having played one half of Michigan against Ohio State and a full game of Texas A&M against Oregon, I have to say that this game is shaping up to be a buy. I like the way the line is playing and the way they have dealt with the option. I'm very excited about this game.

Then again, I haven't bought one since '11.

Just pushed a RG into his QB's lap and my DE got the sack. I don't know how high I leaped in the air after that happened but I'm buying this. Don't know if that's great or pathetic but whatever

You have to hold the right stick up a few steps BEFORE you want to truck somebody. Been this way for the past couple of years now. Even easier to do this year in the demo.

Just had a nasty double juke spin with DAT. Looked like Reggie Bush in his day. Love how you can really feel the difference with quicker players.

Been playing the demo on straight Heisman since I've downloaded it and I've won once, Oregon 13 - A&M 10.

The game was a straight defensive battle, except for when Johnny Football decides to say "F your Defense!" and takes off for a huge gain. Had a fumble recovery and 2 Ints, one for 6.

Anywho, my thoughts. I'm fairly new here so, it may not have huge importance..

The demo has me hooked. 13 just sits there beside the PS3 wishing it could be 14. The game feels so great to play now. IE2 is a gamechanger, in my opinion. The option game is very deadly when used correctly.

The defense has been ramped up too, I believe. If you go to the well too many times, you will definitely pay for it.

I have just a few issues that I hope is fixed before the game drops..

1.) When I was using Oregon, A&M had a no huddle offense going, I couldn't pick a play from the personnel that I had on the field, but the menu quickly came up and vanished after Johnny Football had already snapped it and had passed the first down marker.

2.) It may have just been me, but every time A&M went deep, I'd get beat by atleast 10 yards everytime.

3.) I wanna see more bumping at the line of scrimmage..

All in all, this is a wonderful demo and I will enjoy picking this up day one.

Woo Pig Sooie!

has anyone notices that when you run no huddle the CPU NEVER CHANGES ITS DEFENSE...SAME COVERAGE THE WHOLE WAY DOWN THE FIELD!!!

I've played quite a few demo games, I'm very impressed. Mostly with the improved plays and formations. I've never really cared about how good the graphics are in NCAA. I don't play it for graphics. I am glad they made the colors better though, the last few versions of NCAA have had a washed out field color that occasionally made the pass catch indicator invisible. Nebraska's alternating light/dark green field turf was especially bad for that.

As for animations, I've seen some messed up animations like ball carriers reacting unnaturally to contact but I've also seen some really good animations like ball carriers tripping over the legs of the OL and needing to recover or stumbling down. I'm also really loving that defenders react to tipped balls and actually catch them now. I've had a few tip drill INT's that were very impressive, for both user and CPU. In '13 those would just hit the defender's hands and drop.

I've seen a couple glitchy things that will likely be fixed. A few of the automotion read option plays in OSU's playbook have failed meshes between the QB-HB where their two animations just don't meet up and the QB gets stuck with the ball. I have also seen one play where a WR dropped a ball at the goal line, the ball fell and hit a defender in the back and then got intercepted by another diving defender. It looked amazing initially but the ball clearly hit the ground. Challenged and it was upheld as an INT.

All in all, I like it a lot but can tell putting a playbook together with all these new plays will be very difficult.

Guess ill stay at AA my goodness. VT beat me and I never got across the 50 sheesh.

Then played with OSU and I could never get anywhere with BM. UM shut me down but on D my DE sucked kept getting no where or pushed back a few yards. But the other end of the line kept getting push to the backfield and the UM QB kept trying to run but would run into to many of his lineman trip and fall pretty cool.

Went back to play Ore and aTm and played AA and the DE kept going after the RB on every read draw play until the end of the fourth all the DEs stayed him it was quiet impressive but to late and it was a blow out lol.

The demo is pretty fun. Still iffy about the retail version still a day one buy for me. Ill play some more and do some ignorant stuff along the way.

Oh and the freeze the kicker never worked.

I like alot of things about this demo, but

4 VERTICALS

4 VERTICALS

4 VERTICALS

by the cpu on every 3rd and 10+ is bad bad bad programming....

and while some may be impressed that the QB scrambled off the 4 verts for the first down, a pocket passer in the full game will force it for the pick 10 out of 10 times....

sad to say the playcalling isn't fixed, its worse in many regards, the cpu has gotten better at executing bad plays from bad playcalling...

playing against the AI is like playing some fool online, someone programmed the cpu to either call a screen or 4 verts on every 3rd and long....

its not hard ea just change the frequency of the screen and 4 verts to 1%... and crank up the AI punt ability

i am thinking of a provocative title for a thread about this 4 verts AI mess ea needs to hopefully see this...

this issue alone makes me not want to spent more than $30 for this game or else its a day 1 buy.....

In my Michigan vs OSU game, OSU had a 4th and long and ran it up the middle.

Hold RS Up to truck. You have to preload it about 2-3 yards away from the defender (very similar to how hit stick and wrap tackle has changed this year). You will know if you have done it successfully when you see a red pulse on the player ring which indicates a 'force impact' reaction.

Here are my random thoughts:

- Game looks immediately much better due to looking less drab, washed out, more colorful, whatever you want to call it. It just looks a lot more like Madden now which is great!

- Glad they had names for the players in the demo instead of numbers. I'd much rather have fake names then #5 or #28 or whatever.

- Audio in regards to the crowd is much, much better and more dynamic in regards to when my Buckeyes made a big play the crowd went dead silent. However, still not perfect either, on the opening kickoff I had a kick return for a TD that was called back on a penalty. The crowd cheered but in real life if the Buckeyes had a kick return for a TD called back on play number one the Big House would be insanely loud roaring. Still better but not there yet..

- I really like the new introduction, it seems more interesting and quicker. More cuts and etc make those of us with short attention spans very happy and less likely to skip over after viewing..

- The controls seem to be matching up with Madden now in regards to throwing the ball away (someone please correct me if I'm wrong..)

- Love the new fatigue system, this is going to be a HUGE addition IMO

- Physics seemed much better done, loved that the stupid stuff from Madden wasn't in there (people falling down after plays like they were drunk, etc)...loved the 'weight' that players seem to have now

- Related to the above - love how the players plant to cut now. Yes there's still a bit of skating but for the most part we are finally back to the PS2 days of cutting and players showing different agility in that regards.. A great addition!

- I really like the slowed down speed and limited turbo. Plus the turbo now when you apply it is a much larger difference in speed from non-turbo, which means you actually can see your guy accelerate alot and will mean more strategizing as to where to use your limited turbo... I've been calling for this for years, a larger differential between just running and running hard and finally get it, YAY!

- the CPU is a lot tougher, although perhaps that is something we always see in the new game until we can adjust more to it. The one biggie though this year is the CPU seems to be able to run. the Michigan QB ran a good bit on me, although he did pay once with a fumble.. I lost 24-6 to Michigan thanks to 2 turnovers, 1 for a pick 6 on the goal line...

- The addition of the music, the licensed songs, which their names I do not recall but you hear at every football games 8 million times per hour, is HUGE... combine that with the emotion and team celebrations and finally..FINALLY the game feels much more "alive" and less sterile.

About the only criticisms I can really level is I didn't recall hearing any new broadcast chatter or audio, the names on the jerseys are still too small and still don't look like Maddens (which look right) and I didn't see dreadlocks at all if memory serves...but wow, that's about the only negatives I can think of offhand.
