Some other glitches:

Floating ball in endzone after scores
IE decides ball carrier is not down after hitting the ground (so he gets to keep running lol)
AI Center stands over ball but never hikes it...let's playclock run down
Commentators say I should have thrown the ball away when I throw it away
Playcall screen lags to the point I cannot call a defense play when the AI no huddles
Yikes, I've been out of town unable to play the demo again.

I knew this had potential of happening. There were a lot of us that pushed the DB Glitch issue - yet no GameChanger, no Mod - no anyone with some pull supported it. I tweeted, I sent messages to the big time guys on youtube/facebook and nothing. I even applied to be a GameChanger just to fix this issue.

Yea the more I play the demo the less i'm enjoying it. I can't remember the last time a demo had so many major glitches that happen. While I haven't experienced this, people have had OT games where a team gets 2 possessions in a row when the other team is supposed to get the ball. That's not a minor thing. Even for a demo that shouldn't happen.

I've seen the floating ball in the endzone everytime someone scores, not just once or twice now. And when it happens the play clock runs down to 0 and the team gets a delay penalty. I haven't experienced the center just taking off downfield like others have but i've seen the one where the ball carrier decides he's not down and gets up and continues running. Lag with the playcalling screen is beyond ridiculous when you're on defense and the cpu is running the no huddle, doesn't give you enough time to pick a play. CPU still can't cover 4 verticals and when you run no huddle on offense the CPU doesn't change their play.

I swear i've been trying hard to see all the positives everyone is raving about but I can't understand how EVERY game i've played so far i'm seeing pretty major glitches yet I come on here and people are raving about how great things are. Surely these people are having similar issues if it happens to me every game I play.

Yes it's a demo but I can't remember an NCAA demo having such ridiculous glitches. At this point i'm too frustrated with the demo to consider buying the retail version. Atmosphere is stale other than when Seven Nation Army plays and the game gets boring after a while. Presentation is lame as well with the preset cutscenes, stale commentary and lack of emotion after things like a touchdown.
Lol I experienced the double possession glitch when playin Oregon vs. Texas A&M... So annoying.. Such a good game going and then that happens..

heh, can't even be mad I should know what to expect by now.
Were you playing as VT because that sounds accurate.

SMH. The DB glitch is still there? That is unacceptable. The game is unplayable in my eyes if that is the case.

Wow, I haven't encountered any of the things you guys are talking about.. I must be lucky. I'll play more after work..

I really hope this is fixed in the retail version. I kept wondering why I was getting so wide open deep. I swear people who played this at E3 said it was fixed. And when you add this to the fact that passes in the middle of the field are too easy its a recipe for disaster. And its unfortunate because there are so many improvements this year.

I'm gonna try to stay optimistic.

Yeah, man, thanks for being a champion about this issue last year. Hopefully our voices are heard on this issue and addressed in a day one patch, but I know that's just wishful thinking. Out of all of the glitches I mentioned, this one hurts the game the most. On the playcalling lag I can just pretend the AI offense is too fast for my D...on the announcing miscues I can just ignore it or turn off the announcers...etc. etc.

I just want the good ol' days back when we would come in here and just have "who loves this game more" fests and brag about calling in sick and forgetting our wedding anniversaries because we're having so much fun.

It's still alot of positives with the weight of the players, some fun collision animations and quirks that play out because of the IE (I got hit going over the middle and my WR did the SPLITS lol!) and the improvements to the option game. But man, the glitches the glitches. I won't support the full game either until I hear these issues are being addressed or at least acknowledged and considered.

It's bad when you're on defense. Yes Oregon runs their offense fast in real life but I wasn't playing Oregon i was playing Michigan. Play gets done, teams starting running to line up, still no play selection screen. Both teams lined up, play selection screen pops up and you have maybe 1-2 secs to pick a play before the ball is snapped. Yes hurry up speeds up the game, but most teams don't run no huddle and snap the ball in 5 secs like Oregon. And as soon as a play is over you should be able to select a new play, defenses in real life don't line up and wait 5 secs to look over to the coordinator while the offenses are already lined up ready to go.

I was OSU and 3 straight plays Michigan ran a no huddle and snapped the ball before I got to select a play. How are you supposed to stop the offense, which is already overpowering this year with the run game, when you can't even select a play?
This wasn't this way on the E3 build. I typically got about 6-8 seconds to pick my play. Pretty sure that build is closer to final so I don't think this will be an issue in retail.

To be honest Jersey, the more I play it, the more I feel like this should have been ncaa 13. Instead, we are getting it this year, and while its an improvement, I think it should be further along. The atmosphere is better than last year, but it still is not up to the other sports games out this year. And, if its true the db glitch is still there, that will be unacceptable. I really think this is the best they can do.

I've had about 50 games played on Heisman since the demo came out and I have yet to see the DB glitch. I know what it is, but I just haven't seen it happen yet, out of about 50 games. I'm clueless on how most people are seeing all these bugs come out the woodworks with the demo, but I have yet to see any of it, besides this one play where the QB did some weird hover in mid dive. Other than that I've seen nothing that made me scratch my head.

I know this is an impressions thread but i didn't want to start another thread and haven't been able to dl the demo yet, but how is the crowd atmosphere of the game

# 693 jwagner82 @ 06/20/13 09:24 AM
I was playing a game yesterday and thought I saw a glitch, but then tested it and realized the game was just a lot smarter than I thought it was. I thought my DB's were looking at the qb but not rushing at him fast enough when he took off for a scramble, then I realized the only times they did that was when I was in man coverage, and with a closer look, they were only staying that far back because of the QB being behind the LOS and there being a chance he could throw to their man if he were to go to the QB. It looks weird at times but it's actually pretty realistic. I manually tried to rush him with my db, dove at his knees and he JUST got the ball off, wr is wide open and had a blocker ready. I should have listened to my play call, haha

Take this with a grain of salt. I am one of 6 people around here who still loves and plays NCAA 13.

Pros:

IE 2.0 is far better than the mess that was M13
I really like the WR matchup numbers a very nice touch
Option and running game are excellent
Colors are very rich and pop off the screen (but there is a con on this)
Lot's of cool new animations
I like the speed of the game as it feels slowed down
Players have a weighty feel this year
Coordinator Cam is very cool on offense
Zoom Cam is nice to have as well.

Cons

It is basically the same game....it really is. Just added some physics which help

The colors are too rich and make the game look cartoony to my eyes.

I do not like the new intros at all. I love NCAA 13's pre-game rituals and Rece Davis doing some pre-game talking. Then again I do not know if this was taken out as this is a play now demo and not a dynasty demo like 13 was.

Overall the game has some new wrinkles...it is nothing groundbreaking and not a game I need to purchase anytime soon. It is a wait and see how the AI really is for retail and after the slider makers here cut their teeth on this game for a few months.

Now I am intrigued with the new recruiting, and coaching skill tree. But again I am one who is still playing and loving NCAA 13. So I don't feel like I have to have a new college football game. If it turns out the game's AI and option game are truly far better( and the option game is better i can already see that)....I will get in when the price drop happens for Black Friday.

Is the demo good? Absolutely. Feels like 13 with a better running game, brighter colors, some new camera options and it does feel more organic. All positive developments.

But not to the point of OMG I gotta have this game.

# 695 mlhouser @ 06/20/13 09:58 AM
I'm still playing 13. My biggest gripe with 13 still exists in the 14 demo. When a CPU receiver makes a cut for the sideline, my DB gets left behind. When my WR does the same, 8 of 10 times the CPU is with him stride for stride.

The game looks better, and the running game plays better. I like the OL/DL on pass plays.

I play 8-10 minute quarters, running the ball, short passes, 5 minute scoring drives. I can't get my feel for the game with 3 minute quarters.

I'm all about Dynasty. I hope the RPG Coach feature doesn't unbalance the game.

As for the DB glitch in 13, I honestly can't say I've seen it. I am having lots of fun with NCAA 13
This right here!!! Everybody pump yours brakes until we get our hands on the Actual game....

Since I own both the 360 and PS3 I noticed each system has different fake names for players. Example Michigan QB Devin Gardner name is Marcus Barnes on 360 and Tony Moody on the PS3.

You will get completely different names for each player each time you play a game.

I'm enjoying the demo a lot more than I thought I would.

The foot planting, the running game, the option game and the colors just seem crisp.

The honeymoon phase isn't over for me, sounds like it's over for some of you after each time you play the demo.

If that's happening, delete from game system and wait till release day and after to find out if the game keeps disappointing.

To each their own.
