Pre-Order MLB 13 The Show From PSN Store & Download at 12:01 AM EST, March 5th

MLB 13 The Show is a "Day 1 Digital" game, which means if you pre-order from the PS Store, you can start downloading a digital copy of the game at 12:01 AM EST on March 5th.

As a bonus, if you pre-order from the PS Store you will receive an exclusive theme for your PS3 XMB menu screen and an extra 120 million for your Franchise budget.

At the moment, we only see the MLB 13 The Show Day 1 Digital pre-order available for the PS3, nothing on the PS Vita.

Yep, not looking good. Does maintenance usually take longer than expected? Maintenance will be ongoing right until midnight eastern time tomorrow according to this. Looks like i'll be going the disk route, definatively not going to pre-order now. I'll check on here shortly after midnight tomorrow to see if PSN is back up, somehow I doubt it.

im gonna assume the maintenance is to get ready for the download as well. Be confident people we gonna get the game in time.

That's what I want to believe, but I've also seen their maintenance periods run overtime quite frequently. It's not an unfounded fear, unfortunately.

For some people their first instinct is to fear the worst, but I think everythink everything will be just fine. They will be updating all day giving them plenty of time to get everything up and running properly before Tuesday/release day. If they said it will be their at 12:01am for download then I believe just that! Time will tell, but have faith peeps! Later

Raging pretty hard right now. They post that it'd be ready for 12 to suck in ppl's money since it's a big selling point to be getting it legitimately before most ppl unless there are midnight openings. .. and then announce this bs will go on til 9pmt ? Wow...

Leave it on that twitter page for about a minute and it'll show you the updated tweet with the other time. It says 4 minutes ago but it's really not, that tweet has been there since I started looking at it in the last hour.

If you click the link in the tweet, though, it links to the playstation forums. That post has it as 8 AM-7 PM PST...

EDIT: After checking twitter again, I do see what you mean. I don't care when the tweet was, just as long as it's accurate.

EDIT2: Now it's showing that tweet as 3 hours ago and showing one from, supposedly, 2 hours ago with the 5 AM-9 PM PST timing. I'm lost...

EDIT3: I just tweeted Playstation inquiring about The Show. Will update if/when I get a response.

I wonder why the PS3(playstation network digital) version wasn't mentioned on the drop? In the digital section...it only says Vita.

Just pre ordered my copy. Really looking forward to it. Also I know pretty much everyone agrees that the free theme is pretty weak, but if you turn the brightness on the theme all the way down to -5 it is not so bad. See you all on the network tomorrow night!

It's entirely a guess based on experience with other games, but I'd say on an average internet connection you can expect 2-3 hours. I have a 40 meg down and 40 meg upload and can download games in about 45 minutes to an hour. If you have speeds close to that then you should anticipate an hour.

Although, this could vary due to the amount of people downloading it at once.
