Pre-Order MLB 13 The Show From PSN Store & Download at 12:01 AM EST, March 5th

MLB 13 The Show is a "Day 1 Digital" game, which means if you pre-order from the PS Store, you can start downloading a digital copy of the game at 12:01 AM EST on March 5th.

As a bonus, if you pre-order from the PS Store you will receive an exclusive theme for your PS3 XMB menu screen and an extra 120 million for your Franchise budget.

At the moment, we only see the MLB 13 The Show Day 1 Digital pre-order available for the PS3, nothing on the PS Vita.

It definitely does. I think you have to at least start the download and it will finish it up for you even if you turn your PS3 off. I've had several games do this. They download and install by themselves once I initiate the install.

I wonder what I am doing wrong? I get the updates etc... But not full downloads. I'll check today to see.

Yeah I have had games finish downloading during the night as well.

I hope that the game just downloads without me having to wake up to do it tonight. I'm an early to bed kinda guy. Ha

Im confused, on the ps3 it said I can download the game at 12 am eastern but im in the west so does this mean I can download it at 10 pm my time ?

Even better, you can download it at 9:01 PST if you're on the West Coast!

So if you leave your PS3 on will it automatically download? I'm debating this way for Vita and PS3. Instead of going out tomorrow and trying to get Best Buy to price match.

I don't. I start whatever game I want to download, hit the option of "download in background" and do other things. I turn off my PS3 and the next morning, whatever I started to download, it has finished and installed on my Ps3. I've told my PS3 to do downloads and such at 2 am.

Store and account management is up, which means the maintenance is more than likely over already. I think we can exhale guys.

Props to Sony for handling this one in a timely fashion.

And I probably don't need to, but I'll say it anyway just in case - no, the Show download isn't live yet.

Did you try setting your system clock forward? Its worth a shot lol

The store runs on a server clock, not the system clock. Feel free to try it though...

Anyway, I went ahead preordered the digital version too. I'll probably just give my disc version to my cousin, minus the case, lol. I'm a collector too

I was wondering the same thing I have been searching for how to preorder it however it does not seem as if it will be available. I just picked up $40 in PSN cards to get it....

Neither do I so I am thinking that it will not be available at midnight. Kind of sucks because I literally just got my vita in the mail today haha. All I have for it right now is COD.

Yeah. If I had to guess, I think we may not see that version until the store publish Tues. afternoon. Since they're not cross buy, there's nothing that says they HAVE to be released at the same time. There will be a digital Vita version out tomorrow (as there is with all Vita games), but I don't think we'll be seeing it until later in the day.

Would love to be wrong though - I could download that version in about a quarter of the time it'll probably take to get the PS3 one.

Agreed. Would be kinda cool to download it first and then play on Vita while waiting for the PS3 version to download....then I wouldn't be staring at the download screen, yelling at my TV to pick up the pace...

PSN maintenance is done ahead of schedule so there shouldn't be any hiccups guys, hopefully. I'm just like most of you, patiently awaiting to download my digital copy.
