Pre-Order MLB 13 The Show From PSN Store & Download at 12:01 AM EST, March 5th

MLB 13 The Show is a "Day 1 Digital" game, which means if you pre-order from the PS Store, you can start downloading a digital copy of the game at 12:01 AM EST on March 5th.

As a bonus, if you pre-order from the PS Store you will receive an exclusive theme for your PS3 XMB menu screen and an extra 120 million for your Franchise budget.

At the moment, we only see the MLB 13 The Show Day 1 Digital pre-order available for the PS3, nothing on the PS Vita.

I think the PSN is being cleaned up for the Show heads. Nothing to worry about.

This happened for NHL or FIFA (Can't remember) and everything was fine.

The only better part about the EA games is that if you had early release, you only had to download a 6KB file and you were ready to go at midnight. I wish I could pre-install this game.

How can I download the game efter release? I mean I have downloaded the theme, but nothing else. Where do I have to go in the store to download it? At the Mlb 13 the show tab on PSn it says it is purchased.

I guess at midnight you go back to the MLB 13 Tab and click download...

It auto-downloads by default. If for some reason, it doesn't auto download, you can download it manually from your purchase history.

I had checked the downloads menu before ps store went offline, but It wasn't there. I only had the theme in the downloads menu.

99% sure that that's how it appears for everyone, because that's also how it looked for me. Think positive thoughts. (I'm noticing a lot of people here being negative about this whole thing, when I'm sure it'll all work out.)

Huh? Pretty sure you had to download it all and it wasn't available until 6pm est the Friday before release.

i'm not too worried about all this, i've gotta work tuesday from 7-4 anyway so I'll just let it download while im working and be ready to go when i get home. I did this for NBA 2k13 and really like not having a disc and load times are much better (at least in nba, can't speak for the show).

oh and im sure if something happens and we cannot download the game at 12:01 then we can all complain and get some money or something out of sony to go along with the 10 dollar credit we already get for spending over 50 bucks in the store in march.

Guys calm down this is not the first time they did a midnight pre order release.. the store should be up by 10pm EST the latest and you'll be able to download it at 12.

Does anyone know if the game will auto download at 12:01???

I am a PS Plus member so my ps3 comes on at a certain point in the morning and uploads my save data and usually downloads patches and other things. I was curious if this would start downloading then as well...anyone know??

Not sure. I have my PS+ to auto download patches and stuff at 2 am every day. I'll have to check to see if it downloads by itself at midnight or I have to tell it to do it.

Does PS+ download games while off? I tried to download inFAMOUS 2 and Little Big Planet 2 and it only downloads when my system is on.
