Pre-Order MLB 13 The Show From PSN Store & Download at 12:01 AM EST, March 5th

MLB 13 The Show is a "Day 1 Digital" game, which means if you pre-order from the PS Store, you can start downloading a digital copy of the game at 12:01 AM EST on March 5th.

As a bonus, if you pre-order from the PS Store you will receive an exclusive theme for your PS3 XMB menu screen and an extra 120 million for your Franchise budget.

At the moment, we only see the MLB 13 The Show Day 1 Digital pre-order available for the PS3, nothing on the PS Vita.

A bit more info to chew on. There is new info out there that makes me think the game might be around 24gb. The download might be a bit smaller perhaps. Again I will not say where I found this info, but its not hard to find.

But remember you will need at least twice the size of the download to install the game, after install it will only take up the original download size space on your HDD. Unless the game is split into smaller part like Ni No Kuni was.

Thanks for the heads up. I just had to get my laser warranty replaced three months ago so I haven't accumulated much on my 120gb so I should be good to go. Gonna delete all my non sports game data and saves anyways just to be sure.

I just can't be that patient to wait for the download, I think I'm just gonna run to my local store and purchase the disk, and be playing at 12:10am

Don't forget that 10gb install from MLB 12 too. I forgot about it and then was thinking, I know I have more room than this. Then realized it was still installed.

Wait, I just realized that now you can't preorder the game at all since it will be live once the maintenance is over right?

So I guess if you wanted the preorder bonus you should have done it already.

edit: The web store seems to be still up so you could preorder it that way correct?

Well, I guess that means only those who logged in already might be able to preorder it still. Shame since I bet there are some people out there that were planning to preorder it today before release but didn't know of the maintenance.
