20 for the download and 20 for the install. After the install the other 20 will be freed up again.

Its not official yet, but most assume the game will be 20gb+ download.

Things get sticky though as you need the space to download the game, then at least enough space to install the download to.

But if it is split into smaller parts you won't need double that space, Ni No Kuni was 16gb and 6gb. In this case you only needed 32gb total space I believe.

1. download 16gb, install 16gb = 32gb needed
2. 16gb taken up by install (downloaded installer should be gone now) + 6gb download + 6gb install = 28gb needed

final space taken up by game after install = 22gb

So you needed at least 32gb to download and install Ni No Kuni

But if MLB 13 is one big download, lets say 22gb or something you will need

22gb download + 22gb install space = 44gb, but the game should only take up 22gb once installation is finished. So I'd wait until people know the file size, if its split, and so on if anyone has space limitations.

Its a problem with PSN games and only recently become an issue with all the full game downloads being offered in the last year or so.

People need to be aware of it and Sony should list this directly on the store. If you purchase a game like Ni No Kuni and have a 40gb version of PS3, you can't install the thing. Your purchase is unplayable. There are countless threads of people having issues with space. http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/tec...-game-v-v.html

Really? I preordered from Gamestop without knowing that.

My PS3 won't read disks. Since I'm primarily an xbox guy, I can't justify buying a new system right now. If I download the game digitally, will it still work despite that?

I don't see why not. It'll be on your hard drive so it has no need to access the blue ray drive.

Will it be able downloadable and playable on the PS4 once it comes out?

Was just making sure. Thanks!

So presumably this will not be available to anyone outside of the US/Canada?

You could get some US PSN codes and buy it that way. I think that is how EU people buy stuff off the US store and vice versa.

I created an American PSN account simply by using a friend's address, but from memory, you aren't able to use a credit card to purchase anything unless it's linked to that name/address?

I'm talking about a US PSN code.

I'd do some research first, but this may work for you. Although I believe that making a PSN account that is not your residential region is against TOS. Not sure if they have ever reprimanded anyone for doing so. I'd research before going this route.

If they bothered to make their content available in more regions, people wouldn't have to circumvent the cumbersome system!

From a consumer point of view that makes complete sense, make content available everywhere. But the business side of things is not that simple. If they don't think MLB 13 would sell in the EU, UK, other regions they don't have much reason to go through the cost and process of publishing the game in those regions.

Fair point, I know it's a multi-faceted issue and probably a discussion for another thread, so I won't side track this any further.

Just wanted to know where fellow Aussies were importing from. I'm happy enough to use Play Asia, but will download it just the same if I can.

Well in terms of importing, PSN might be the easiest and cost effective route for those outside of NA. But I don't know if its allowed to be done since I've never bought anything from out of region. Maybe ask in the EU import thread, someone probably knows more there, but that thread might be more focused toward the physical version.

I think the game will be avaliable in EU PSN also, they just don't offer it as a preorder. The Show 12 VITA game was there in Europe, so this years PS3 version will be. My only problem with EU store is, that 59 USD = 59 EURO, so the games are a lot more expensive. I've bought some US PSN cards for my US PSN account, then preordered the game.

If you are able to transfer funds for your US account, you'll be able to purchase any game you want. I already pre-ordered the game (The Show) from the store, although I live in Europe.
Actually I have bought plenty of games from the US store......
It is true, that they won't accept European credit cards, but you can add funds to your account by buying those "Live cards" from various sites, or by using PayPal(which is a new way to add money to your PSN wallet).
I just wish it would be Tuesday already........

Intriguing. The PayPal option sounds great and any opportunity to purchase items in US$ is fantastic for Aussies right now. If I buy it through "my" American account however, will I still be able to play it on my PS3 under my own usual PSN ID, or will it forever be associated with the other one?

I've downloaded games on from another account and played the game on my main account before. I can't remember if any of those had online passes though. Also not sure if it would be region locked since you main account would be from outside NA.

I think though you can from some searching online.
