If you feel that things shouldn't be added to sports games until they are "100% ready", what sports games do you play? Asking since due to the majority of sports game series releasing every year, just about every new feature is a "work in progress".

And in the same token, why are'nt the slogans and advertisements suggesting more ingenuous statements in refference to their plans rather than making claims such as "similation football, and realistic physics engine? I understand what you are saying, but that doesnt justify misleading the masses into expecting "an overhaul", or a " it feels like a whole new game", when in fact it doesnt.

Also, Bqckbreaker wasn't intended to be a realistic sum, but rather intended to be an unrealistic arcade game. Kinda what Madden is in actuality, except refuses to accept that title and continues to wrongly insist that it is "sim"
The game had arcade-like modes (like tackle alley) but the game was being directly compared to sim NFL games due to its physics engine. It was intended on making people not want to play "canned animation sim football games".

It's typical advertising. Nothing really new.

Also, many who are enjoying the Madden 13 demo feel that it feels completely fresh in comparison to previous Maddens so (obviously), people have different opinions.

EXCELLENT SUGGESTION!!! Putting out this IE and leaving the AI and other issues EXACTLY the way they are leads some to believe that this was an attempt to feed the zombies a pinky finger so that they stay loyal. is this their intention? Probably not, is their reason for concern? YES

True, but is that really saying much?

One of my favorite games of all time is Virtua Fighter 5. In that game, they have an arcade mode that lets you play from real people some of the best in the world (recorded from actual arcade cabinets and pro competitions), and they recorded their play styles so you were getting a better challenge than playing the cpu which was admittedly cheap on higher difficulties (Dural the end boss has everyone's moves) and it saves the offline player from having to deal with cheap online tactics. Madden should implement something like this for each team that way each team doesn't seem like it plays the same. That's really the problem with Madden in a nutshell. It can look pretty from sun up till sun down, but the AI in all facets acts like a dumb blond. Thats the real reason Madden doesn't ever feel different to the offline player. Or am I the only player that plays with house rules in order to get any enjoyment out of the game?

Im not impressed. Felt like the same game as 12 with new animations being used and even worse looking player models. After MLB The Show, my standards for sports games kind of rose and I know Madden isn't there but they have been going in the right direction.

I think it was just it being a demo but it felt like a slightly polished version of Madden 12. Too choppy, too sloppy, etc. I do believe the actual game will feel a lot better and I'm definitely going to get it whether it be new or used and try it out. Just don't think the demo was good. Most demo's dont appeal to me

WOW! Just fired up the Demo fir a 2nd go round, and right off the bat I'm annoyed. First play from the Giants (CPU) and he throws one over the middle. MY DB seemingly has the WR blanketed, but what do ya know?

The vaunted ICE SKATING animation returns!

The WR slides an extra 2 or 3 yards to make the grab, rather than it be an incompletion or mislead by the QB. Or, make a great catch by the receiver, or a swat down by the DB whipping his arm in front of the receiver. DON'T START THIS ICE SKATING GARBAGE ALL OVER AGAIN!!. This company just doesn't get it right.

I'm tired of the sliders altering the difficulty setting. It makes ZERO sense for the AI difficulty to change if I move a slider. Why does the AI suddenly have to become blithering morons just because I want to give my offensive line a bump?

Sliders should be 100% independent of AI intelligence.

This last part of this thread has turned into it's not, it is thread.

Not what a demo thread is for, folks.

Best advice and suggestion would be to move on, as your opinions have been shared repeatedly.

I would like to see more opinions on the demo, not what the game should or shouldn't be.

Thanks.

I'm really loving this game on all-madden. It's difficult, but I haven't encountered any unrealistic plays. With the right playcalling you can really have success. I like it alot. In other madden games, all-madden just frustrates me.

I still don't really like all-madden. All-pro is a bit on the easy side for me but I prefer playing on all-pro than all-madden.

The perfect thing for me would be a difficulty setting that's in between all-pro and all-madden.

The game plays way too fast. I know you can change the speed, but I'm going to be playing online all the time so I will have to deal with it.

Man all this negativity is bumming me out about football games i wish we had more football titles to choose from. My impression is not to read the thread on the demo impression.

There are sliders for online.

I agree with this man. All-pro is too easy, but all-madden is still sometimes too much.

Not the case for me really. I'm open about the fact I only want a fun game. Madden tends to sap all the fun away with inconsistent and erratic gameplay. I'm not looking for it at all, it's just there.

The physics are really good, definitely going to buy it release week at least.

# 1200 datruth @ 08/16/12 02:36 AM
After all the hype about physics and what-not the game looks and feels the same to me. I mean there is still no sense of momentum, weight or strength while user controlling the ball carrier.

I have played the demo and I still see many instances where 190 pound DB's tackle 250 pound RB's up high stopping all of the RB's momentum and speed.

The stiff arm is still non-existent and having success running the ball and breaking tackles is largely dependent upon speed. I'm not impressed and I believe head to head and online gameplay will be unchanged from past versions.
