I agree I'm having a blast on all pro and very slow.

Could not agree more with this... NCAA feels 'muddy' and stale. The animations are canned and everything feels regimented and mechanic. Madden seems fluid and organic. Still need more playing time but going back to NCAA feels like going back a generation...

I agree. I went back and tried to play NCAA last night and I couldn't do it.

Another problem is dropped passes and the computer ALWAYS breaking tackles. Can someone tell me if its the difficulty or am I just rusty? Haven't played a football game in a month....
About the dropped passes, if you user catch press and hold the catch button it gives you a better percentage of catching it. I got this from the manual> http://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/promo/manuals

Is demo forcing Xbox to freeze up 2nd time this has happen. Now that honey moon phases over I'm be putting more of my opinion out there. Like how the jerseys get dirty but only one team does. Played on all modded only had one dropped by CPU in crucial 3rd n long. Noticing the bumper car tackling everybody been talking bout not enough wrapping up. Do like the physics but don't need everybody falling over constantly. Does anybody else feel like when you running and you get behind a blocker you can get off him to make cut

Commentary and presentation is better than previous maddens but still no home run however I do take into account this is a demo in which I don't exactly know build number. Idk if it's skating feel but d players feel lighter. Their pace should be slowed down by position/weight/spd/acc/ quickness etc.. I shouldn't be able to move a db from opposite line of scrimmage to other in same time as a lineman or lb

Couldn't run for nothing on all madden with Seahawks online most of runs outside we're blown up in backfield or right when I'm bout to turn corner even when input Leon Washington in

Liking return game actually can make some moves in get to 28-35 starting line for drive if I read blocks well etc.

Stiff arm sucks and ball should be in hand where defender is not at frustrating to try turning a corner only to have the ball in ur arm for the stiff arming

Also blocking wrs/tes should hold up their block better

Moe games you can blame both parties developers and publishers. how ever publishers do hold control on what's in game and not how much resources/time spent to spread out but since ea is an major gaming company it's no excuse. As a future game programmer shoddy coding is unacceptable although sports won't be my main genre(RPGs) for creating games I do eventually plan on doing a few especially football and I'll try to do my best to replicate a sim football since its my favorite sport. However that won't be for a few more yrs until I graduate college. It's a business as the developers probably want to create a sim game however casual fans win majority of time especially for sports fan at least with ea

Great demo. Props to the EA team - you finally earned my respect. And that is hard to do since NFL 2K5 and All-Pro 2K8 - were still punishing your team for the past few Madden years.

Why is everyone so excited? EA finally delivered on their slogan, "If it's in the game...it's in the game."

A perfect example of this was my second play on offense from the gun formation with the defense in press coverage and my wide receiver sprints off the line of scrimmage, fighting the cornerback off, only to make a post pattern where another DB shades the wide receiver inside and jumps his route too early and the referee throws a flag?"

What's this? A flag is thrown? Offense or defense?

The suspense was choking me I am watching the referee jog forward to the center of the screen.

He motions his arms and says, "Defensive pass interference..."

I am definitely buying this Madden. This year the EA Madden 13 demo is not perfect, but it is a polished product that shows for the first time that EA is cleaning up its act and getting back to the years when their slogan held some meaning.

Yeah, I have seen three defensive int penaltys go against the CPU............I dont think I even had three total the entire time I had 12.

I rarely post much anymore because over the years I realize that this is just a game and will never match a game that was so glorified so many years ago. With that said, I think this Madden is the best since I have started playing madden. This is only from a demo stand piont.

Presentation: Has been a huge boost. Its a long time coming, So good job but could be better.

Gameplay: Will never get a perfect game so it was it is. Its ok. not playable as some gripe about.

Big Con: The game speed again is seriously messed up. As of right now, the slow speed gives it a nice feel. And ALL Madden is just unplayable. With sliders this may help but I am tired palying with sliders.

Gamer tag for those who may know me before I changed yaers ago was Postman17 now its NY BigBlue68. Feel free to hit me up on xbox. totally sim and love a great game of football.

What I will say after thinking about it was that they did do a much better job of limiting movement within momentum constraints, but they kind of cheated. The made you round off all your cuts unless you used the juke button but it did play out more realistic that the twitch of madden. Arrggh, you are making me start to see areas ea should have had fixed even in their first go
Okay so you agree it was better prepatched. That was basically what I was refereing to. I loved how in open space the offensive player had the advantage as it should be that way. This is why when a defender makes a solid tackle in the open field its such a big deal.

In BB you can create some really nice wow moments, but I dont want to derail this thread to BB and leave it to the Madden demo.

Yes it has issues but those are the same issues other games had and never fixed, plus there is no run up the middle and get touched, fall over...play over like others had and never were able to solve.

All in all my only real negative is its too easy to pass vs cpu. Very easy actually but then again as long as it plays good head to head (which it did at EA) then I'm happy.

That silly comment there is enough for me to just walk away from having this conversation with you.

Just enjoy the game, and don't concern yourself with my thoughts and impression on the demo. I rather have a conversation with those that come across without unnecessary comments , and don't give me the impression that they are bias and have a closed mind.

You can have the final say. I'm done.

PS3 Demo ImpressionsThere's actually a full replay in the PS3 Demo maybe cause its a larger file. (You get three different angles of the play on the PS3, On the Xbox the replay just shows the last action twice not the full replay>???WTFAlso the game is more dark makes it look more realistic than the Xbox Demo, I played three games on both on the XBox it seems allot easier to Pass/Run on All-Pro Allmadden makes then user WR drop everysingle ball wideopen btw slants anything you try to run on 3rd you will get shoutdown.lol have to play with the sliders to maybe get a better AI to match my playing style. But the game looks runs feels way better on the PS3 than on the XBOX360 i first starter to play it on the xbox due to it download allot faster than the PS3. But I was disappointed with than demo on xbox, went home last nite and palyed all night on the PS3 why is that? Shouldnt be the same game? But theres some differences the coaches don't looked juiced up is like the xbox version of madden. I will start to adjust the sliders to maybe get a better feel to the new IE, It still looks of when the players hit the ground. Some of there knees bent backwards all the way in a unnatural position, BTW theres others players falling on top of them. Hmm should the force of the two or maybe three bodys on top on one break some bones? Also the AI on the PS3 plays better D , Xbox first game All-pro 24-3 Was-Sea >User was RGIII lol Xbox game 2 20-6 Was-Sea. Allmadden xbox 14-17 Sea-Was they beat me on a long field goal. PS3 first game All-pro 17-14 Was-Sea Helu player of the game...lol PS3 2 game 21-17 NYG-SF wow the Giants are really hard, Manning is a beast on this game. My last game was on allmadden PS3 i got my *** kicked 24-3 NYG-SF user was SF. Playing the demo on both systems made me go with PS3 ... now lets hope the fatigue & injuries work. I only had one injury, Randy Moss but there was no mentions of his name just theres a player down , looks to be a upper body injury the questions is how severe. Nice audio but the players name is never mention. Also if you sub in a 3rd stringer the game keeps on normal as if you started the game, I dont like this for a RPG football game not to interact with lets say a superstart like Victor Crus gos down with a injury are they not going to elaborate on whats actually going on in the virtual football field. Theres allot of new animations, still have not seen the WR/CB hand fighting. Dfense reacts better to the open zone and flows there very quickly. All in all , I would get this game on the PS3 aslong as Luke Kuechly Carolina first round pick gets his name call right, Ps3 retail aug 28...lol its the only football game out and everyones going to see how nice the ads run on the TV or on NFL network on sundays and well i am in full NFL weekly mode , best time of the year. Xbox 360 5/9PS3 7/9I would not give this game a 10, first i dont have the final product & from the demo theres going to be patches needed to fix this.

# 1234 seasprite @ 08/16/12 09:23 AM
Didnt play much at all with the Giants in 12 so maybe it was in 12, but this Nascar defensive package is pretty cool. Cant wait to see what other special defensive packages other teams have.

# 1235 riggs6taters @ 08/16/12 09:23 AM
First, wow guy 2 posts above me...

Second the game is really fun to play. I could definitley see the impacts of the new engine and loved the gameplay overall. On one particular play I was running with Frank Gore up the middle and juked left to escape a defender but was knocked right off my feet by my own linemen, AWESOME!

Madden is definitely stepping their game up, now if only they would let me edit my players and import my draft classes........

Maybe it's because I've bought so many of the older maddens, but I see a pretty big difference.

I like it, and will be buying but some things I have issues with if people can help me out a bit.

1st. I played with the Giants, and when Jernigan was taking the kick return, I noticed his speed was so fast. I changed the game speed to slow, but I'm still noticing a very fast game. Wide receivers seem to be moving a lot faster than normal after the catch, running backs are running too fast, and it seems like Martellus Bennett (about 280 lbs) has almost the same speed as Victor Cruz.

Is there a way to fix that? Is anyone noticing the same thing? Will that be available to change that speed when the full game comes out?

# 1239 krispykeith @ 08/16/12 09:54 AM
So you are saying there are full replays on the PS3? I wasn't going to even bother downloading the demo a second time for my PS3 (i have the xbox version downloaded) but if there are actually differences I would like to check out the replays.

I can't imagine there is any difference in AI though...that seems impossible.

# 1240 Jistic @ 08/16/12 09:55 AM
I like very slow, and just lower the speed threshold. I think I did 40 and hit Moss on an in and he was off to the races. Had a step on the safety and actually extended his lead by the time he scored.
