It's far from perfect but I've played it more than any other Madden demo. If I stay away from OS I could probably enjoy the game, ignorance is sometimes bliss. My only real concern right now is the weak AI offense, perhaps sliders will fix this.

Oh ****, I totally forgot about "very slow". I got to check that out later. Thanks for the reminder.

Where do you tough the speed threshold?

I like it, and will be buying but some things I have issues with if people can help me out a bit.

1st. I played with the Giants, and when Jernigan was taking the kick return, I noticed his speed was so fast. I changed the game speed to slow, but I'm still noticing a very fast game. Wide receivers seem to be moving a lot faster than normal after the catch, running backs are running too fast, and it seems like Martellus Bennett (about 280 lbs) has almost the same speed as Victor Cruz.

Is there a way to fix that? Is anyone noticing the same thing? Will that be available to change that speed when the full game comes out?
Did you try changing the speed threshold because that may fix your issue my friend.

I'm liking very slow as well. Top speed on players is a little too slow but I like the acceleration and slower animations. IE seems a lot less funky the slower you put it.

No, I have no idea where to get that setting and since I'm at work, I can't look right now but I can later.

Settings> and then where?

All in the same screen with speed. Just below it in fact.

I'm new to the game... what value of the "Speed Threshold" do you suggest me? I've already set speed to "Very Slow"

Not sure, that's why I am asking myself.

Thanks to all who have responded. Will look for it later when I am at home.

Yes sliders can be adjusted. Glad they gave us a lengthy game to pick out bugs

First off, I'm very impressed by this long thread.

My review after a couple of days, I like how the crowd is finally involved, I like the commentary, passing is crispier, and that they brought back lead passing, (had it in 06 actually, PS2 tho).

As far as the physics, Ehh its alright. I mean I like the pile ups and the activity after the whistle, but that's about it. Players seem so twisty and rubbery when tackled. I was expecting Back Breaker level. No fwd momentum at all. Yes sliders can change that, but not the physics. I played on slow and very slow was to slow. Felt like I was back in time but will try again.

I appreciate this demo having a full game experience and that we can adjust sliders. Things like the crowd finally being involved normally would be key for me but something is still missing. Will try very slow this time but this game will be a redbox experience. I play off-line so I don't care about the online features, the trials will be long enough. At least I have the demo to take away my itch for a football game.

Do like the physics but don't need everybody falling over constantly. Does anybody else feel like when you running and you get behind a blocker you can get off him to make cut
Mine froze up once as well. After a nice Randy Moss TD

I'm enjoying the demo, in my opinion you can feel the infinity engine working. There is some real awkwardness at times with the physics but I kind of figured there would be with this being the first year of real time physics, the physics are still a step in the right direction. In a little bit when I have some time to play it some more I am going to try to lower the speed of the game as I see people have suggested because that is one thing I did feel that the gameplay was really fast.

I play on 0 because I want as much distinction between my players speed as possible. A breakaway should not be caught by anyone except a safety with a good angle and my rb should never be hit on a sweep by the oppo d end chasing him down in the backfield. 0 seems to do a good job preventing that.

Speed threshold is the difference in speed between players. Set it lower and the fast players become more faster than the slower ones. I used 40 last night and it seemed fine.

Most of the times that I put the speed threshold on 0, I end up having the AI go for long runs.

I guess it's the play-calling that I might have to change up a bit.

My only reason why I dont like playing on slow is because I want to be able to make fast decisions. I just want to experience the fast decision making you need to make in the NFL when finding the running lane or finding the opening in the zone defense etc etc.

Many are saying things look better on the slower speeds, so Ill give that a shot tonight when I try the demo again.

It has been confirmed by those with the retail that the lighting is much better at FedEx in the retail

Not a big difference I think in Madden 12 between slow and normal anyway. The thing with slow speed is you get a crisper, smooth image and it doesn't look like your players are running at abnormal speed.

I still think that the good outweighs the bad with the Infinity Engine

I forgot about camera settings. I have to go home and check which ones I like
