Madden NFL 13 demo is available now for the 360, queue it up right here.

The Madden NFL 13 demo will be available for PS3 later this afternoon. We'll update the post when it pops up online.

The Madden NFL 13 demo includes the New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Redskins.

You can choose difficulty settings. 5 min quarters and it's an entire game. It will also have full commentary. No sliders this year. You can change play style between game flow and conventional.

I was beating the giants 10-3 with 2 seconds left. Giants have the ball on my 40. last play the giants run a weak outside toss.... The ****?

I love the game! I didn't buy Madden 12 (first time in 10 years without buying a madden). My only gripe on the game is it's way too fast imo. When I changed the speed to slow, it feels a lot like the ps2 madden gameplay wise. Which ps2 madden was my favorite. Hopefully they will let you play slow gamespeed on ranked games...

Must buy for me!

Playing my first game now. Granted, it's very very early, but ... typically, after playing The Show all summer, I feel like I've taken a giant step back when I first play the Madden demo. Almost like I've gone from PS3 back to PS2. For the first time, I feel like Madden is on the PS3.

A few quick hits: Slow with threshold at 0 feels good to me. I played Very Slow last year, but it feels too slow now. Normal is still too fast. Really liking that real undrafted free agents are in the game. Graphics are top notch. Animations are better. The new presentation is much better. Simms/Nantz are well ahead of Johnson/Collinsworth.

The thing I really like is the new Read and React system. The Defensive A.I is actually legit. But as a result, I have noticed that passing the ball is more difficult this year, in my opinion. I have had to run the ball a lot to have success, but I don't mind because that's the style of play that I like.

I'll leave a quick impression then I'm out:

First, this game is so far beyond NCAA and what that team has done that it's not even funny. There isn't a single thing that isn't better in Madden.

Second, this demo alone is the best Madden I've ever played, and maybe football game period. Graphics, physics, commentary, presentation, gameplay, etc, etc... everything is just great. The improvements these devs have made astound me. Madden 12 let me down a little after 11... But this game? Wow.

NFL not World Wrestling....i'd like to know what NFL you watch where 90% of the hits are blow up hits. Also never ever seen a player run into someone on the ground and the runner slams down like he was hit by a Mac truck. It needs toned down.

Just a quick impression.

I haven't played Madden since Madden 10 and I only played about 8-9 games of that before I put it to rest. Again, this is just my opinion, but the game is absolutely awful. The running animations are terrible, everyone still looks like they're on steroids, and Alex Smith looks like he's 49 years old.

I'll be passing on Madden again this year.

I don't suppose anyone has ran into any issues downloading the demo from the Xbox marketplace? I get a strange error code when I try to download the game, but it may be because I only have a Silver subscription to xbox live?

Not really a Madden fan....But i'll get it this year after playing the demo.... It should hold me over til Christmas.....Christmas being Oct.2nd....

What makes it terrible to you? It's gotta be more than just those things. I know you said it was a quick impression still.

I forgot one other thing that honestly made me laugh out loud.

The dreadlocks/long hair... are you serious EA? Bwahaha. It is just simply comical. I want to know who on the development team saw this and thought, "yeah, that looks good." The hair comes out of their helmets. Its absolutely hilarious.

Won't know for sure until I'm able to play someone, while there are some great things about the game, I think defense is going to be sorry. Very sorry. Two words, HITCH STEP. We'll see.

This game is wonderful. It almost feels different, like it's not Madden. Lol. I know ppl have complained about the RTP saying they don't see the difference and yada - WHAT???!! I'll let those ppl have their opinions but my opinion on that is the either they're blind, are super Madden and/or EA haters and/or they don't know what RTP actually is. Heh. I wonder if some of those people were Backbreaker players and supporters. Hmmm...

The RTP is not perfect but DAMN it's pretty damn good for a first time being used in a Madden game. Anybody whining about it, eh, nevermind.
The presentation, the graphics, the graphical layovers and such, the audio, the commentary - GREAT improvements over what's been there. Also not perfect but, damn, I am NOT complaining.

Bottomline for me, the game is too effin fun, now. I can't wait to see the players collide on hits, trip over each other, u name it. I am enjoying Madden like never before and it's mostly because of the RTP. Almost brings a tear to my eye to see this finally in a Madden game and for it to be this good so soon.

Oh, yea, I'll definitely have my list of what's good, what needs improving and what can be added for EA AFTER I get down with the retail version for a week or 2 but I LOVE what is here with 13. Good stuff...

I played one game and immediately I thought, 6 years later, and this is the best they could do? I even had to play another to make sure what I played was actually serious.

What an embarrassment. Players look horrible. Scratch that, most of the graphics look horrible. Zoom ins look decent, but the rest, no. Can still do whatever animation you want at anytime. Infinity engine did nothing for me. Still looked like the Madden of old. Players have no sense of momentum whatsoever and just fly and skate around the field.

Have defensive ends outrunning RGIII on the flat? WUT!? What a joke.

Also, the AI is atrocious and the play calling is laughable. 4th quarter, Giants down 3 with 1 minute left on their own 18 and they are running HB draws.

It's a shame this is the company that received the exclusive licensing rights.

Anyways..my impressions. It feels like a whole different madden with the presentation, commentary and physics. I am having a lot of fun with the game though..i hope there are more camera options in the retail build though..i want a closer up zoomed camera..with how much these graphics sizzle now..i would love a closer up camera...PLEEEEEEEASE have more camera options in the final build.

Great demo...a lot of playability..heck if a person couldnt afford the game right on release day...they still have the demo that is pretty nice on its own.

There are things i wish would get more attention...the running game..tapping the button to run accelerate and break tackles would be awesome but maybe they can get that in next year..there are other things i see that need improvement as well but for the effort made this year..i just feel i am content and happy with what they dished out this year. Sure it could be better..and maybe the sliders will fine tune this baby..but there are other aspects of the game that need improvement but i almost feel guilty complaining about them because of how much better this game feels now. I'll wait and see what the final retail build delivers and worry about the things missing this year for next year's game.

Day 1 purchase for me..no doubt!!

PS: FOR DEVELOPERS: One thing i want to point out..i know its just a demo so there may be more cut scenes in the final build but after scoring a TD..they need to mix up the cut scene where the guy that scroed the TD is sitting on the bench and players come by and pat him on the back..i am seeing it way too much after each TD...this is where i stated so many times that these kind of cut scenes need to be mixed up with various other cut scenes..when you keep repeating the guy on the bench getting the pats on the back..that will get old really quick. You gotta mix that cut scene up with other related cut scenes..say like instead of him getting pats on the bench after each TD...maybe have the coach give him a pat on his back while he is standing..etc,etc...mix it up a lot more so it dont get old.

Again..i know its just a demo so "maybe" all of what i am saying wont happen in the final build..but just in case..i know its a fix to mix it up a lot more..just some advice.
