other than cpu clock management, and the issues recording assisted tackles, its pretty darn flawless on my end once I put sliders in.

change route up on bottom left control thing

I was down by a TD with 7 seconds on the clock as I connect with Hicks in stride to tie the game as time expired and I tell you the commentating on that play totally killed my buzz. They simply just stated that it is now a tie game... Then I hit a game winning 48 yd. FG, still absolutely no energy in the final call of the game. Very lackluster to be polite, other than that I love the way the game plays out. A solid slider set will have this game in my tray for a long long time lol
I guess you haven't seen a game broadcast by Jim Nantz and Phil Simms in real life. Let's just say they're not Gus Johnson or Kevin Harlan.

Up on the d-pad, then push the desired wr's button, then use the right stick to choose route

Like the Seahawks with Russell Wilson starting at qb I can only be more dangerous when I have t.o. On the roster think I found my third team to play with Detroit saints and seahawks need to more so I can switch up when I play online

Really digging this game but I'm wait like a month before I get it want to wait until full retail version is out with some sliders in everything in place but it's looking like a hit out of the box.

Might truly be able to enjoy a virtual football game in a while since its so much harder to get 11 on 11 football in real life

since theres no hate in these bones, let me say that the best thing that EA did was to give the ability to adjust the sliders with this demo.

im not tryna say that im ready to buy at this point (because the game is bound to need atleast 2 patches) but the sliders put the game at a playable level and have me wanting to explore the demo a heck of a lot more than i did after playing my 1st game.

so yeah check out them sliders and look into a few adjustments i made (or your own) and maybe you'll see what im seeing.

like i said its still not a day 1 purchase for me and as far as M13, i honestly dont know if ill purchase at all, im still in wait and see mode..

however if this game continues to shows promise after the retail drops, and sliders dont reset to default in user vs user games, and they improve upon M13 with M14, gotta say i could see myself giving them the benefit of the doubt with M14.

alot time still left in between then and now, so hopefully EA continues to move in teh right direction.

Oh, and I really like how at the end of a play, if players are piled onto each other, how they have to fight to get back up. I saw no clipping and they had to work to untangle themselves from each other. Pretty cool. And the physics are great because you can now see things that could never have happen in Madden before. When I ran into the back of my lineman and ended up tripping over his feet, I thought that was awesome. It's just little things like that that can bring life to a game and keep it feeling fresh. Also, seeing the opponent's receiver get helicoptered after a catch was pretty awesome.

I'm mostly enjoying the game. I might buy it if there's not any horrible bugs in connected careers.

I liked the passing in NCAA and I like it here too. The infinity engine is neat. Still a wip and seems to switch between relatively convincing and awkward more often than you'd like. Biggest disappointment with it is that tackles still feel extremely weak. Running still feels too disconnected and floaty, but the animations themselves look good enough to me.

There's a nice base here, I pray the transition to next gen doesn't screw everything up.

Agreed the tackles on D are really my only big concern with the game at the moment, besides the camera .

My Madden NFL 13 Impressions
after six hours of downloading time (My patience had to be elite to withstand the wait)

I’m proud to announce the wait was well worth it. Madden had me very impressed after one game resulting in a 28-10 victory for me (Niners)

First match was all-pro difficulty all on default, Auto-Sprint/strafe= OFF

Passing game
A.Smith 11-19, 57%, 176yds, 2Tds, 0ints my thoughts: His passes felt real , trajectories and total control +++ !! His arm and mobility really felt limited to degree. Had to hot route extra blockers on deep routes because of Giants dline.
Smith was sacked 4 times/ SF Wr’s had 3 drops in game no clean drops all involved collision.
Quote:
Cool play I was in pocket and DE beat tackle I QB avoided up (R-stick flip UP) in pocket and was smashed directly from behind a few seconds later and players stopped but I was hit into my C,RG and Alex smith stumbled off them and turned backwards and put hand on ground and still was a live play I rolled out and chucked a deep ball to vernon davis but he dropped it as he was hit catching it+++!
E.Manning 13-21, 61%, 187yds, 1Td, 1int My thoughts: Eli clearly had a more tuned arm compared to smith. His balls came with more zip and tighter spirals.
My D sacked Eli 5 times, LE R.Mcdonald had 3scks No Dt’s sacks in game at all all ends & linebackers.. Good playcalling by me slow Eli down,

Base align (pre-snap audible) works very well I finally see nickels roll over to safety slots and linebackers n DB’s shift into base formation alignments +++! Defensive button responsiveness is superior swats and catches all quick response and look great.

Quote:
On mannings 1 int, It was a deep ball between Cruz & Terrell Brown both players had 1 hand on ball and then Brown came down with ball falling on his back due to infinity. Best interaction on pass ive ever seen on madden there was no tackle both players just leaped high n Cruz downfield lunged pressed on CB and made him topple on his back while holding on for INT ++++
Running Game
F.Gore 10att, 73yds, 1Td, Long 37, My thoughts his jukes and balance were best obviously on squad. Players bounce around but can keep balance if hit at right angle.(A.Smith play especially) I did fall on first few runs from colliding with my blockers..

The Giants barely ran the ball no effect on all pro default 11att, 17yds lol

Defense I really felt Patrick Willis and Bowman on D they were really only two players on my team who I could feel really stopping guys momentum in their tracks. Really felt the umph & unload in their hits.

Other Notes:
Returned a Punt with Ted ginn after a phenomenal juke then cutback and 2 crackback no hand blocks on the way!!
- Break tackles are any given and nice
- I will play more games and leave detailed impressions. Also plan on getting some quality slider & setting testing in with the demo

I had plenty of instances that should have credited guys with assisted tackles, but it didn't happen. I found that disappointing.

Bumped it down to slow and it played very smoothly. Loved the feel. Definitely a buy now since I skipped last year.

Sucks when you have a game winning drive and they commentate it the same way they would when you call a Time Out... lol Maybe I caught them on a bad day... haha

The game plays better, it feels like a different game and I've been playing madden on next gen since 08.
The new player models make a huge difference with immersion, the big players who should look big look big. The small speedy wrs look small like they should. You can really tellthe difference with height now.

The new catching animations are f'ing awesome, I never knew how much of a difference they would make.

Passing seems a lot more fun and unpredictable.

You know you can zoom out presnap dont you? My issue with the camera is during after snap as its a little too far zoomed out.

Also, I hate the lighting. I played Seahawks @ Redskins, and the sun is so bright that the players end up just looking like shadows in the gameplay camera. It's especially frustrating when returning a punt, and i literally can't tell who's on my team until I'm 5 yards up field.

Lol, that was funny, and I'm being sarcastic. Anyway, what I mean when I say they "run it", is Ea is in control of the football market.

But I'm still playing the demo and I still plan on buying the game. I really think some sliders and ratings adjustments will improve this game.
