Has anybody notice when you change your sliders the game moves back to rookie level automatically.....or if you have it on all pro and mess with the sliders it doesn't stay on the all pro level...

Check it out

Player graphics are bad and graphical pop ins keep occurring and textures take too long to load. Grass and other details on the field and stadium are ok. Crowd looks partially 3d at least and not flat.

2 big issues for me:

1. players morph into the endzone barrier and go into the stands too often.
2. you can literally use the same lame money plays and drive down the field. Flanker drive, mesh, drags, over the middle plays. These plays are money 90% of the time.

This game keeps disappointing year after year.

See you guys going to play a real game nfl 2k5.

Thats the same thing I say when I see post like this that say the game is horrible. Its all a matter of different taste and opinion

Seems like the hardcore 2k5ers will hate on Madden no matter what they put out. There's obviously going to be a halftime show in the final product. I played 2k5 with sliders and updated rosters and got bored after about a week and a half. Anyone who thinks 2k5 is better than this game is just being delusional now.

Saw some pretty awesome things in the first game I played.

My first opening kickoff was a muff.. Everyone started diving for it, my kick returner recovered it and tripped over some others who dove for the ball. After stumbling over them for a moment, he recovered and began to build up speed, only before getting his clock cleaned.

Also, on a stretch run with Lynch, I was wrapped up and drug to the ground. However, Lynch never touched the ground because the defender's body was under him. He actually recovered to his feet after being dragged down and continued to run. I was pretty impressed.

Im really liking that it wont let me cheat my SS up as much anymore. still abusive in the run game, but the cpu is catching me every time when in a pass play and beating me over the top.

also really dig the cpu pass D this year, they go for that strip which is just great. just threw a fade in the end zone to vernon, who basically beat the CB and S help(deep fade) and kenny phillips comes at the last second and makes this sick strip animation I havent seen before, like a pull, and that was it. incomplete.

loving the pass game, I recommend that people just try all the routes, you really start seeing some of the things others are talking about. really really like how it seems like I finally have to run to set up the pass game and vice versa. its not psychic cpu, its just smarter cpu. of course there are then times where the cpu acts like a 2 year old hitting random buttons, but there are these shining moments like phillips in the back of the end zone

I still played the 2k games, no more. even though the presentation aspects of 2k are awesome, I just cant overlook the upgrades made here. I really believe this is a heck of a game this year. cant wait for CCM. so many ideas. just playing with diff qb's has such a different feel and I will enjoy going option QB here and there. Robert Griffin is a beast

as much as I cant wait for the game release to play w/ my chiefs, I sit here laughing constantly at these players falling over each other after the play.

Too many collisions resulting in the players bouncing off of each other for tackles instead of the defender wrapping up. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the demo. I've had some pretty sweet plays, like a TD pass to Santana Moss that he caught one handed that was behind him, spun around, and was laid out, flying into the endzone. Pretty sweet stuff.

The CPU handles time management very poorly. Aside from that I'm liking it, the new physics engine is a big improvement. I'm posting a video on youtube of my game, Seahawks @ Redskins.

Because there is a play designed to do exactly that.

I also just seen something that blew me away. I was returning a punt with Brandon Banks and was tackled. Well like normal as I was going to the ground I relaxed and took a hand off the controller but there was no whistle. So im trying to figure out whats going on, and about 2 seconds later Banks rolls over and then there is a whistle. Thats when I notice that when Banks was tackled he rolled over on a defender and was not actually touching the ground.

Someone please tell me they have seen something like this so I know its not no kind of placebo effect.

I see the same problem - the collisions are a bit weird at times.

I liked it, my passing game was meh but that's mainly because I was just not used to the overall presentation of the game, etc. yet so that was throwing me off some as i'm good in NCAA.

The running game felt smooth, other then just running into an OL then falling down

# 771 Rpommier @ 08/15/12 12:04 AM
One other thing I noticed that is a big deal for me is how the RB can slide off blockers. It's been very frustrating for me in NCAA 13, to get stuck on my OL when trying to hit a hole. Granted I'm not very good but it's less of an issue in this Madden.

I don't want to ride with Madden just yet, but so far it's dang good. My ideal Madden was '93 on Genesis, with the spinning unstoppable Thurman Thomas (yeah I'm old school). Anyway, this game instantly had a better feel. I'm not really in to every little detail being correct, it's a game and I want to have fun during my limited gaming sessions. I chuckled to myself looking at the cars driving around The Giants stadium I believe. The cars were passing under a shadow, I was wondering how many people will rip that

Compared to my weeks with NCAA 13, this is a better video football game. Hopefully the UltimateTeam stuff is comparable to FIFA, if so that's another win.

The graphics are good, the presentation isn't terrible, rtp isn't a bust, passing is decent. I think it's the running game, I'm a guy that establishes the run. It's boring and doesn't really replicate the ball carriers. Maybe it's momentum, footplanting or just the explosiveness. I don't feel like I can be creative with my rb's, or hit a hole with that burst. (Even playing on normal)

It's not a bad game, but it's not what I was expecting it to be. For the first year rtp is okay, it will be tweaked and improved on. I'm still getting this game, and hopefully some sliders and rosters can bring out the best of madden 13.
Couldnt have said it better myself. I pre-ordered the game and CC is still something I am looking forward to experiencing. But the demo is ok. I was expecting more. I dont really "feel" the physics, but there are some cool moments in there.

Guys I'm finding if you lower the tackle sliders for both teams and the int slider the collisions are a whole lot better......I lower my tackle slider to zero on both and the int to 25 hope this helps...

My main problem is the lighting. I am using a very good HDTV on PS3 which has no problems in any of my other games but the players shadows are too dark. When the camera drops back on a pass it is really hard for me to tell who is offense/defense down field. No problem when running really just passing because the camera is zooming out.

Is anyone else having this problem?
YES! on punt returns as well it is very hard to distinguish between my guys and the opponent.

I did see one glaring gameplay problem. On two occasions in the same game, a pass was clearly incomplete - the receiver barely got his hands on it but then it popped loose but was called a fumble.
This happened to me in NCAA 13 too, it's not just Madden

I'm on record on this forum saying Madden NFL 12 is, as a total package, the best football game I've ever played. That statement is no longer true.

The only issue I personally have seen is late-game playcalling; up 13-10 on the Niners with less than a minute left, the Niners proceeded to run the clock out with a couple draw plays. That's pretty egregious, mind you, but that's the only fault I can find. This demo, to me, is fantastic.

The 24th can't get here soon enough!

In my opinion, this is hands down the best Madden gameplay ever. The commentary was 100 times better than any previous Madden (as was the entire presentation) and the crowd was simply amazing. Right now, I'd rate the game at 8 or 8.5 out of 10, but it might get better once I get my hands on the CCM. Madden is starting to get it right.

Dude, this is the same old manufactured excuse for the flaws in Madden. Since when did fixes require several years to see a significant upside? Madden is a 24 year old franchise that should not need several years of room for error after adding minute fixes and the cycle starting all over. Using this logic, it would be year one to any new feature or engine which should give them plenty of time to "fix the impossible task of programming a game to respect simple physics and football". Commentation, presentation, and the crowd ARE ALL GIMMICKS that are neither priority or secondary in the game of football.

NCAA 2011 and 2012 retail versions were much smoother then the demo's.

the cpu needs some serious help running the football. its almost pathetic. I havent stacked the box at all and ahmad bradshaw's last 3 games against me 10-0 10-2 12-1

10 carries. 0 yards
10 carries 2 yards
12 carries 1 yard

that was on all pro with the cpu run sliders amped up. evidently they cant run on all pro.
