The biggest problem with RTP to me is that ball carriers often get tackled by their own players. If you so much as touch your teammate you will fall. They need to find a way to eliminate that or make the ball carrier keep their balance somehow when they bump into their own player.

I see the same problem - the collisions are a bit weird at times.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

THIS IS THE DEMO!!!

That means they still have time to tweak things before the game is released!

so that being the case, I give this DEMO a A-

Is this game going to be perfect? NO

But it's sure as hell looking to be the best Madden that they've released. Unlike a lot of people here on the OS boards, I don't go into the game looking for the negatives, I go in ready to enjoy whatever they've prepared for me. If I can't enjoy it, then I'll complain and rant. But if It's really fun to play, realistic and has high replay value, then I'm usually happy.

People, look at where they've took this franchise from where it started! I'm sorry, but I'm not looking for perfection. It's absolutely OUTSTANDING that they've been able to produce a football game to this caliber. Maybe it's because I'm a little older now, but we all need to stop feeling so entitled!

Personally for me, NCAA 13 was an absolute bust and I think the Madden guys figured that out quickly (hence no importing from NCAA) I think the two franchises are going in two directions and finally Madden is moving in the direction of becoming an elite videgame once again.

okay that's my little rant! Thanks EA for all of your hard work, it really shows, even in this little snippet demo of what's actually to come!

I liked it, my passing game was meh but that's mainly because I was just not used to the overall presentation of the game, etc. yet so that was throwing me off some as i'm good in NCAA.

The running game felt smooth, other then just running into an OL then falling down

One other thing I noticed that is a big deal for me is how the RB can slide off blockers. It's been very frustrating for me in NCAA 13, to get stuck on my OL when trying to hit a hole. Granted I'm not very good but it's less of an issue in this Madden.

I don't want to ride with Madden just yet, but so far it's dang good. My ideal Madden was '93 on Genesis, with the spinning unstoppable Thurman Thomas (yeah I'm old school). Anyway, this game instantly had a better feel. I'm not really in to every little detail being correct, it's a game and I want to have fun during my limited gaming sessions. I chuckled to myself looking at the cars driving around The Giants stadium I believe. The cars were passing under a shadow, I was wondering how many people will rip that

Compared to my weeks with NCAA 13, this is a better video football game. Hopefully the UltimateTeam stuff is comparable to FIFA, if so that's another win.

The graphics are good, the presentation isn't terrible, rtp isn't a bust, passing is decent. I think it's the running game, I'm a guy that establishes the run. It's boring and doesn't really replicate the ball carriers. Maybe it's momentum, footplanting or just the explosiveness. I don't feel like I can be creative with my rb's, or hit a hole with that burst. (Even playing on normal)

It's not a bad game, but it's not what I was expecting it to be. For the first year rtp is okay, it will be tweaked and improved on. I'm still getting this game, and hopefully some sliders and rosters can bring out the best of madden 13.
Couldnt have said it better myself. I pre-ordered the game and CC is still something I am looking forward to experiencing. But the demo is ok. I was expecting more. I dont really "feel" the physics, but there are some cool moments in there.

Guys I'm finding if you lower the tackle sliders for both teams and the int slider the collisions are a whole lot better......I lower my tackle slider to zero on both and the int to 25 hope this helps...

My main problem is the lighting. I am using a very good HDTV on PS3 which has no problems in any of my other games but the players shadows are too dark. When the camera drops back on a pass it is really hard for me to tell who is offense/defense down field. No problem when running really just passing because the camera is zooming out.

Is anyone else having this problem?
YES! on punt returns as well it is very hard to distinguish between my guys and the opponent.
