Hopefully you can change this idiotic oversight in the menu.
They have confirmed you can, but I dont see it idiotic but more realistic, you dribble with one hand (RT) but usually 2 hands (RT + LT) are needed to shoot the rock...

Cheers! ;-)

I think there's still going to be a fair amount of sliding, especially off ball, where the contact is more chaotic and dynamic. We know that 2K promo videos are cherry picked and taken from an angle that minimizes how bad the sliding can look, so I don't think we're really getting true foot planting this year. I do expect on ball defense to at least be considerably more realistic since it's what they focused on, but I think there's still going to be more skating than most of us expected at first.

Given how much sliding there still was in the E3 build, I'm guessing 2K13 will look like a somewhat improved 2K12, but not like an entirely different game. I guess that's good enough for now, and we know the devs are aware of the sliding and are looking for ways to eliminate it completely.

Those of us expecting 2K13 to look step for step like real basketball will probably be dissapointed, but the progress here looks very positive and is something that can be built upon.

1 thing I havent commented yet that I like is Defensive Shading. If it has improved, it could be a great thing. I had problems keeping players from driving to the paint. Now if I face a guy who I cant stop, I can shade him and go to the baseline or lead him into my teammates.

The thing I am thinking about is whether the CPU will also shade. I would like them to also be able to shade if they have problems stopping the drive.

They should release the demo earlier.

Beluba- Please tell me you guys tweaked the player models, almost everyones legs looked fat and bulky in 2k12. Kevin Durant did not look realistic last year his legs were entirely too large and in general had to much girth he should be extremely skinny looking.

It starts with accessories. It goes on with signature style, signature free throws (Aldridge never puts the ball over his head. only in 2k11,12.) and on, and on, and on. Just a shame.

I obviously could tweak it, or switch to PC, but it wouldn't be worthy cause it's unplayable online.

Towards the end. Granger literally slides into position.
Say it isn't so!

Was just wondering, does strenght, size, or handle ability gets into the equation or will the contact be the same between any combination of players? Because I don't think every guy should be able to drive throught contacts.

What happens if Steve blake runs into Lebron james?

If I were to defend that clip, I am not really sure if Granger was slidling into position to help out Augustin. If you really look at the clip you see #4(dont know his name) for Grizz move near Conley behind the 3pt line. Granger went under the screen and kept his eyes on #4. Yeah he gets closer to Conley, but he is covering #4 who got close to Conley.

Screw the shot sticks. Never seen the purpose of it, put shoot, dunk, layups and post shots on the face button in conjunction with the modifier to get specific shots. Better to have the precise dribble moves on the stick since there is more dribbling then shooting..

Lol, exactly what I thought, still won't have true foot planting. I really doubt foot planting will truly be replicated in a basketball or football game, this generation. But if they can, make the sliding somewhat realistic, then I'm cool with it.

As long as sliding looks realistic, I am okay with it.

It hasnt been talked about.

But due to their past history of dropping insights and Ronnie saying it will be a "Huge Next 3 Weeks", I expect one this week. Maybe might be Gameplay part 2 or Audio or Presentation. It will most likely between Weds-Friday.

The good thing about the way 2k drops insights is that when they do drop them they usually drop them weekly.

#4 is Jerryd Bayless, and you are correct about Granger guarding him. Like someone else says at least he didn't teleport, and that little slide is really insignificant unless it appears frequently otherwise

exactly. It can just be adding more animations to different scenarios, just don't want the cpu making those unrealistic recoveries like 2k12.

Lol. Sliding is the antithesis of realistic. But I can deal with a little of it if it's toned down from last year and it's minimized on ball. The sliding in the video is pretty mild for a 2K game, and way better than what we saw in the E3 video.
