So you can now manually rock the ball from side to side by holding the Dribble/Shot modifier and moving the left thumbstick left, right, left, right, etc.

Instead of watching a sequence play out by itself, the user now has the ability to chain together ankle-breaking combos however he wants.
Yes please!

We "IsoMotion guys" are drooling right now.

Sounds tight!
I just hope all this really will be defensible...

Pretty good read what really had me upset last year was guys who were good/great ball handlers with legal first steps didn't seem to matter much with psychic defense, but it seems like Beluba handled that. If the jab step works as properly as it should in that a offensive monster can feint one direction then expose another ( think Kobe or Carmelo in the NBA today) I'd be adequately pleased.

awesome...the reason 2k makes great games is because they have dedicated developers who know what they're doing...and they listen to the gaming community...

It says a lot about the character of the devs that Mike Wang didn't think the "walk up dribble" was that important, but he included anyway because a lot of people wanted it...

i remember last year around this time, we were discussing the addition of a "shot quality grade" feedback system on these forums, Mike Wang commented in the thread and said they might add it...and now it's in 2k12...just another example of the devs being willing to listen to the community.

2k makes great games because they have devs that are willing to go the extra mile, and who WANT to go the extra mile. it's their passion, and it shows.

i'm loving the addition of more "explosiveness" being added to quick ball handlers...in 2k11, it always felt like it took a bit too long for fast players to accelerate into a sprint...they would kind of almost take a couple of slow steps before they could build up their speed...i'm really looking forward to having that explosiveness when using players who have that ability in real life.

There have been a lot of instances watching different people play the AI this year in which I felt the AI played smarter, and took better shots than the human. There’s nothing better than watching an AI ball handler take me off the drive, start a spin jumper, pump fake to get me into the air, and then step through for an uncontested floater. It’s a thing of beauty and I don’t even feel bad when I get schooled.

After reading that, just make it available for pre-order and I'm all over it.

Impressive read.

Now I gotta get back to work on NBA2K13.
After reading such a great Insight, Mike teases us with his last words. I think I'm going to enjoy playing 2K12 much more than I did with 2K11.

Create your own Sig shot baby!

i'm also liking the AI improvements...if the AI is as good as described, i may never feel the need to play against people online..

after a few moths with 2k11, i felt i had to turn the difficulty all the way up and even turn up the CPU's sliders in order to give myself enough of a challenge...because i had learned how to beat the CPU almost every time..i'm hoping this improved CPU AI will keep me engaged longer so I don't feel like I'm seeing the same tactics and tendencies from the CPU every time.

Right, i've been wanting and asking about this for a long time... ID messed me up with the AI doing things to you that you would do to it

That adds a whole different dynamic to trying to stop stars and all stars as opposed to regular role players

standing dribble without him moving forward? gimme the demo now! I know pared wanted this to as I complained about this last year...

Never fails, Ronnie can never deliver trailer that's suppose to come with insights...... Insight useless without trailer, IMO!

Love the sound of the dribbling moves. I want to try that out. Isomotion is one area where I felt like we didn't have as much control as we should.

I'm also eager to see the shot adjustments. I always liked that they had it in the game, I just never used it because it would make you throw up wild looking shots.
