Good to hear man I am loving everything I am hearing from Da Czar and Mike. Sounds like Rose was taking most of the shots like he does in real life. Fisher doesn't have the speed anymore needed to stay in front of that man. Kobe is an ok defender not at the level he once was but he wouldn't be able to contain Rose as well. There are very few players in the world that can stay in front of Rose consistently. I am glad this is represented in 2K12 and they mentioned it in the first paragraph and one of the goals. In 2K11 you couldn't "feel" the speed of a Westbrook or Rose.

What time does the demo come out again? lol Maybe i should go to one of these gears parties so i can stay up and play the 2k demo at like 3:30am.

Question -
So does the Shot Quality Feedback % replace the old Shot feedback? It's still nice to know when a shot didn't fall because the release is off, where as it sounds like it's all merged into one considering all factors.

this is the rule - If you do a hopstep, which is jumping and then picking up the dribble and landing, you have one more step because the hopstep was 1 step, and then either foot could be a pivot for a step through.

now if you do a PRO HOP, which is when you gather the ball off of one foot and then jump and land on two feet, you cant move your feet because that was two steps. big thing is you MUST land on two feet in a pro hop.
Either way, you don't have a pivot to establish. Both feet leave the ground on both cases and land at the same time.

Again, refs let people get away with this in the NBA, ESPECIALLY Lebron. Still makes it a travel. Pro hop, hop step, jump stop, crab dribble, whatever you want to call it...

Shot Quality Feedback incorporates shot timing but there's still a separate indicator for early/perfect/late release. You can turn them on or off individually.

Exactly. Any time two feet leave the ground the only move left is to have both feet explode again. Any step after the landing is a travel. I made a living going baseline and hop stepping middle in college.

Question about pulling the chair, so do you just pull the stick away while you are being backed down or does timing come in to play. Curious to see how this will work because it can be a huge weapon when playing someone who uses the Magic and is trying to out muscle you in the post.

Yeah that would be a good question. It seems like the post game will be a game within itself. Yeah it would be good if you can trick the offense to think you are trying to fight them in the post, counter their backdown, and then bam pull the chair. I think this is how it will be implemented. I hope the ref doesn't call the flop all the time, just let them lie on the ground lol sometimes while Dwight dunks

This all sounds great just like I've been saying. I figured that Defense would be the last insight but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, I applaued 2k once again can't wait to try out demo and then wake up on that long awaited morning and after classes/work go get my hands on that game.

I consulted my high school coach (who's good friends with Mike D'Antoni and is now involved with the Knicks organization) on this issue. He's said it's perfectly legal to pivot after a hop-step if both feet land simultaneously.

When you do a staggered gather, the first foot to land becomes your pivot. When you hop-step and both feet land at the same time, you can essentially choose which foot landed "first", making that your pivot foot.

Will Real FG% be in the game again this year? I really enjoyed that addition to 2K11.

Haha, well hopefully with this year's soundtrack and if we get custom music on PC she won't cry too much when I get down with 2K12

Hey Beluba...

Is it possible to do a crossover, step back hesitation, cross over to the other hand and finish.

Something like this.

Sorry for some reason won't let me post the video on here.

LOVE all of the under the hood attention the game has received

Time to dust off the PS3 tonight and get used to those new controls with the demo.

From everything said in the insight sounds like the game will be much more replayable than 2K11 already was.

Congrats!

PS : What's left for the insights? I'm interested in getting an audio insight.

idk how these guys keep doing it every year. I wish all sports games got the dedication this team puts into the NBA 2K series. and they are already working on 2K13.
