I don't wish to open a can of worms here, but has anyone given thought to the fact that this may be false advertising? I would think many people purchase this game based on the premise of certain features that are advertised as features within the game. For instance, if Sony sold millions of Playstations that didn't read USB drives, but everything else worked correctly, wouldn't the consumer have some recourse? I suppose I am just getting frustrated by the fact that certain things are always touted as reasons to make a purchase, but then fail to work after your purchase them. If Directv sold millions of boxes, but no one could watch ESPN, isn't that false advertising? Is in not a faulty product? Does it matter that when you read the back of the game and it says you can do this, and you can do that, but then you cant? I don't know, I'm just disgusted at this point.
I don't need it perfect, I just need it playable.
I can poke all sorts of holes in this, but in short, no - there's no false advertising here. If you signed up for DirecTV without looking at the list of available channels, and you're upset that, say, ESPN isn't available after you had the dish installed but the never listed it as available in the first place, that's your problem for not checking.
If Sony sold their system with broken/malfunctioning USB ports, they'd surely fix it under warranty.
My guess, without looking at any fine print anywhere on the box or manual, is that there is some sort of recourse, but 'bugs' and thinking the game is 'glitchy' would ultimately be found to be subjective.
For example - you may think there are too many interceptions in the game. Can you prove that there are too many interceptions? Isn't it just your opinion that there can't possibly this many interceptions in a video game? What about high jumping LBs? There's no actual evidence that it can't happen like it does some of the time... or that WRs can't block... or whatever.
It is ultimately a video game. Video game characters will NEVER truly mimic their real life counterparts. To do that, you'd be asking programmers to almost literally design and create a free thinking human being. That's not possible.
They did something to no huddle I can't run the plays I want from no huddle anymore I can only run the plays they choose UGH!!! I like to use spread but when I go to it in no huddle after the patch they put me in 2 te formation but of course the 2 tes are wrs WOW! When is the next patch coming out. OMG this is beyond crappy.
Sorry if this question has already been addressed. Is the transfer fail problem still occuring with everyone else? I have played my bowl game in an online dynasty four times now in an attempt to move to the off-season. I tried simming, but my team loses. Anyway, I cannot get my results to upload to the server. Wasn't this patch supposed to fix this? Why is this not done yet, EA?! Tired of reading 100 pages of posts every day in my spare time to see if anyone at EA went to work!!
I've played 4 games so far, without touching the sliders I've had set before the patch hit, and I've thrown 13 picks with a 4th-year starting Quarterback with a perfect Passing Accuracy stat (stupid high progression rate). In 4 games I've thrown more picks than his Sophomore and Junior seasons combined. This is insane. And it's always the bloody safeties with 2/3 picks a game. I really think the receivers and defenders are a lot faster coming out of cuts. I have noticed my receivers not just forgetting their routes much anymore.
I tried searching the thread...has anyone been able to confirm that the Custom Conference scheduling issue was fixed in regards to teams playing the wrong amount of games? I know it was in the fix list but was just seeing if anyone tested to see if it was actually fixed.

I'm not sure what your talking about, but I just started a Dynasty with 4 14 Team Conferences and 3 of them play 9 Conf. Games and 1(Pac12) plays 8 Conf. Games.
Another problem I'm seeing post-patch is with the pre-season depth chart. I've created two new dynasties with the new patch and in both cases the pre-season depth chart completely left out some high-rated players and filled it with lower-rated players. For example the #1 QB and #2 DT didn't show up in the depth chart of the last dynasty I created.
These are easy to add, but it means that now you need to manually check each position in the chart to be sure your best players are even in it. I haven't seen this problem before the patch.
Played last night with the patch and had a very good game.
Today, post tuner, it felt like the passing was very, very touchy. So much so I didn't try to lead at all b/c if I leaned on the controller to lead manually at all the throw would go WAY wide - like out of bounds. This was the biggest eye-opener for me. Going to have to get used to this if it is anything more than a one-off event.
Haven't seen any 'improvement' in the HB screens. OL still let the D through without any chip and the DT destroyed my QB b/c of the slow rollback, or I'd run backwards to get the pass off and hit my HB in the face with the pass. So that seems exactly the same as before.
Loving the open editing from the patch.
EDIT: Passing is fine. Playing fine tonight. It was two different teams. Apparently that one QB is brutally bad? Might be different slider set too. Either way, I recant my impression about passing accuracy.
I'm sure this has probably been mentioned but returns are really easy now. In my first game with the new gameplay I have already returned 2 kickoffs for TDs on Heisman (1 was called back for holding though). I'm Georgia and playing against Cal in exhibition.
Other than the no huddle glitch (EA will tune it I am confident of that) the game is even better and I already loved it.
Smooth and crisp are perfect descriptions. Amazing how much more vivd the colors are now.
And man the defense is much tighter. I love the gameplay even more.
NCAA 12 is the best in the series. No question.
I think you are right about it being the best in the series but this is only after the no huddle is fixed. And they need to fix custom playbooks being able to choose wildcat and other missing formations. And fix the whole special link button to special teams because thats only linking to punt block return when on defense.
I think the online dynasty problems are server issue. This has been discussed earlier I'm sure but I don't think its necessarily the game. Just the server.
With these fixes, having coordinaters only need to recruit for their side of the ball, and slight changes in the recruiting system, next years game will be amazing in my opinion. EA will gain my respect
I was waiting for your post DJ. I am DL the patch. Good stuff. I am fairly confident that the no-huddle glitch will be addressed via another live tuner as EA is well aware of it now.
Aside from the no-huddle issue (which like you said, will be addressed), I'm very happy with the patch. I played the Notre Dame-Michigan game, controlling the Irish and lost 13-12. Denard scrambled a lot against me, and although I did sack him 5 times, he still had over 50 yards rushing and over 4 yards per carry. I missed 2 FGs and just could never do anything with the ball once I got near the red zone. Still, a very fun game.
I didn't think the tendency bug was a huge deal but man, it is almost like a night-and-day difference in how the game plays now that the players actually play the way they are slotted.
This game is still complete garbage until they fix the most glaring issue, which is OD's experiencing "transfer failed." The incompetence is amazing over at EA Sports.
I dont really have any complaints about the patch... Seems to play well. I wish they would have fixed if you are an OC or DC in dynasty and you have televised games then it should count towards your school televised games, either regional or national. This is what brings down television ratings in recruiting pitches because itll show 0 television records eventhough you would have played on television for those games.
This is just my opinion, but I honestly don't hate the patch update...
My one real gripe is that QB acc and punter acc are horrible now. Using Nathan Scheelhaase from Illinois (who's accuracy isn't completely horrible, just 79 lol), I was missing wide open WR's like you couldn't believe it. In fact, I threw this one pick where my wr did a hitch, and my QB throws it all the way to the sideline, to the LB in the flat...who had no chance normally in that play. I had been running with Scheelhaase towards the LoS and the WR was directly 10 yards in front of me, and the LB about 10 yards away form me, but 75 degrees to my left (WR was on left side of the field). It was ridiculous lol.
Luckily, this is one annoying tuneup that I CAN edit away with sliders...it's just more of a problem for people who play online.
And no huddle glitch is kind of annoying, especially when the team goes into wildcat and the RB remains QB for the rest of the drive (when I faced auburn for example), but it's overall survivable.
All in all, I don't think this patch was bad or whatever as everyone is saying. I'm glad to have it, but not worth the wait. I just look forward to the next patch to fix up current problems haha.
Oh, and I seriously hope Ben Haumiller doesn't end the next patch's blog with "I trust you will find that it has been well worth the wait"...don't say egotistical statements like that when your patch is clearly not perfect (don't get me wrong, I'm cool with the patch, but for how long we had to wait, it didn't do enough). If like 50% of the community hates the patch, stop and think, "what am I doing wrong?"
