My question is now, how is the coaching carousel working? Sorry, haven't read the entire thread.
From what I have gathered the logic for hiring coaches is corrected and the tuner update that dropped today tweaked the coach progression.
Supposedly the bigger schools will look for HC from a successful HC at a smaller school. I saw an example of Penn State hiring the Duke HC with A prestige.

Don't take this as the gospel, but from everything I have read it will take effect in ongoing dynasties.
I don't know if that is true or not. They also said the CPB could be saved but after the patch dropped it became clear that isn't the case.
I know that is the case with the patch, and I would assume that the same holds true for the tuner but would hate to continue my dynasty and see coaches continue to raise to A+ prestige.
They should just allow the user to edit coach prestige in dynasty.
I've played one game so far with the latest patch/tuner, and I have to say that I think the patch (aside from the no-huddle issue) is a very welcomed addition to the game.
The game I played was TCU (CPU) @ Air Force. Final score: Air Force 31-28.
Having the correct player tendencies back makes a big difference, imo, to the gameplay. I forced 2 fumbles, both with big-hitters. The TCU QB had several nice scrambles, including a 37-yarder (so much for people who say the CPU looks to slide after crossing the line of scrimmage) and TCU also scored off a Wildcat play, thanks to me totally biting on the handoff fake.
Using Air Force, it was nice to run the option and have it work effectively. The wide receivers do a much better job of holding their blocks on the edge and the QBs do get up to "top speed" faster than pre-patch. I only saw 1 instance of the CPU DB not reacting to the play I was running. I finished with nearly 200 yards on the ground, as did TCU.
I thought pass coverage was fair; I didn't throw much as Air Force so this will need more testing, but I didn't see anything crazy, and I thought that HUM Pass Coverage was good. TCU completed 70% of its passes, but I did see several missed throws, including one that wound up being intercepted.
The CPU is now a threat on special teams; TCU nearly ran back a kickoff for a score and also attempted a fake punt (near midfield, so good spot to call for one).
Yes, the no-huddle bug is there, but it's only if you use shotgun plays. I ran out of the I-formation than called no-huddle, changed to shotgun (had every formation available to me)and ran that play fine. I called no-huddle again and all of the shotgun plays were out of the twin-back set. TCU didn't call any no-huddle against me, so I'm not sure about how we are affected defensively, but from what I've read, you are locked into the formation you start off in. To me, that's not a huge deal as it's harder to change on the fly from a 4-3 to a Dime package if the offense is running a no-huddle. Offensively, it would be nice to change the formations, so hopefully this will be fixed.
Oh, I should also add that the crowd sounds a lot better and the PS3 graphics are brighter and crisper. After the first patch, things looked kind of washed out, but that wasn't the case in the game I played.
Overall, I'm happy with the patch, especially the tendency fix. Now, if we can get the no-huddle issue solved, we'll be good to go.
Does anyone know if they tweaked the ability for the Conference Prestige to adjust from season to season in dynasty? I find it hard to alter conferences with the custom conferences when in the end nothing changes as far as prestige, even if I fill the MAC with powerhouses (for example).
Sorry if this was already asked, I only read a few pages of the thread. Thanks.
-No more slowdown on the between quarters replay packages.
-In-game replays of long plays are cut off, but if you access the replay screen, you will see the play from the snap.
-Mountain West Conference new logo is in, but only in the pause screen. When playing the game, both on the field and the replay wipes show the old logo.
The amount of people who don't understand what the no-huddle glitch actually does is astounding. Seriously, I'm done trying to explain it to people who think it works fine, or think it only applies to shotgun. It's one thing if you don't think it's a big deal for whatever reason, but people who are saying it works or saying it only applies to certain formations are incorrect, and will probably create false impressions and confusion among fellow posters.
We almost need a sticky or something telling people not to comment on the glitch until they've actually read what it is.
I've loaded the patch on PS3 and the no huddle is not fixed.
I'm seeing it's a shotgun issue I stand corrected my team changed into other formations but I never went shotgun my bad..it doe's play much better today w/ tuner than it did last night without though
I downloaded Patch #2 and the tuner this morning, played a game and these are my impressions:
1) I had a roster based off Luv's already loaded into the game...the tendencies were fixed in and outside of my Wyoming dynasty...
2) The no huddle is glitched as described...
3) User WR and HB screens worked much better than ever...
4) Kickoff and punt returns were more "interesting" for both user and CPU...slightly more effective and dynamic...
5) The CPU ran the first successful option play (around a ten yard gain) that I've seen...the other handful of attempts were blown up quickly...
6) I'm not seeing any sliders yet that need to be changed...(I'm using a custom set that I'm quite happy with)
7) My custom playbooks are exactly the same...they were only versions of the various D books with the "engage eight" and similar blitzes removed to use for the CPU (2 controller trick)...
Overall: Gameplay feels better overall, IMHO...
If they can release a tuner that fixes the no huddle, I'm all good (enuff) with the result, although the delays have been infuriating...

What about Player Progression in Dynasty? Do we have to re-start our Dynasty's?
