Wow, really? This is hands down the best field I have ever seen in any outdoor sports game and it isn't even close.

It looks worlds better than NCAA's.

Pro's-
No super LB's yet
Game plays smoothly
QB's can move (NFL has numerous QB's quicker than 5 sec 40's, but Madden always portrays them running 6-7 sec 40's)
Passing feels miles better than NCAA

Con's-
Player models are off (player size including pads and jersey just don't look right)
Players are shredded (players are ripped, big veins showing, and to much bulk (Peppers appears to have 28" biceps in the game))
Graphics are "Cartoonish" looking (same as last year I know, however unacceptable)

over all i like the demo, but i don't like how they make you change the d line and o line and also hot routs and such, they should of kept it like they did in previous years.

It seems like everyone loves the presentation which is very nice and so are the graphics.

But most of the cons are gameplay wise, i.e Super LBs,psychic DB, Gliding/ice skating players, QB tuck and run way too fast and early(they don't even read the defenses).
Madden is very pretty but gameplay is way more important than presentation/graphics.

I went from day one purchase to maybe rental, going to wait for reviews and videos.
Very disappointed. Overall C

The game looks great and plays great, slow the speed down like last years and its golden.

I don't understand all these complaints.. Game's aren't real life.. that is why they are VIDEO games. However, they are suppose to be sim, but there are some things that can't be perfectly sim.

A minor gripe:

After a Passing TD, after the PAT, it shows a cut scene where the QB comes to the bench and slaps his WR on the back or something like that but it's always the backup QB that was holding the PAT instead of the QB that actually threw the TD.

Here's my gripe. You shouldn't have to adjust sliders to make the game ready to play! What a Joke? If Madden developers want a Sim presentation don't allow QB's the chance to run for 15-20 yds per carry!

Tackling is better, but HB's Like Grant don't catch sudden speed bursts and run through lineman! Get Real!

My Grade= D+, I'm an online guy and I know that none of the presentation/cut scenes will be included because EA doesn't know how to integrate Computer play and user play online. Why do I get excited every year to get let down?
I'm not going to touch most of your post other than the sliders....You seem to think everybody has the same skill level...Why? For some it will be to hard and for others to easy and last some will find it just wright.......I wont touch the rest of your post....

Let's compare the two, recent build vs. demo

Xbox 360
So far:
Graphics are very clean and crisp
Cut scene details are amazing:
dirt and grass stains on the uniforms, ashy marks on black players ( I gotta laugh but I'm serious), shine on helmets, uniform colors are rich but not cartoony colorful
Replays look very nice also.
Decent broadcast feel (need more stat overlays but I understand this is a demo)
Like the slow speed

Game seems like its on its way to something special but instead of the Super LB's, how about the Super DB's!

I will try to upload it from my instant replay of what happend, Knox burned his defender at the LOS and proceeded to run his route which was a 10yrd dig route. Not only did the defender intercept the pass as there was no one covering Knox, but I dont even know how he got there to pick it or or make a play.

I dunno, maybe its just me, but here is the play...

I've noticed that Rodgers is deadly accurate and generally makes the right passes, but I injured him and the AI had to bring in Matt Flynn. Two pass attempts, one pass out the back of the endzone where he had a man open for a TD but couldn't keep it inbounds, and the 2nd pass he had a guy open again but floated it a little too much and allowed Danieal Manning to intercept it.

Let's just enjoy the game for what it is
An NFL football video game.
I like it a 1,000x better than last year so far.
Looking forward to release.

Was he in the slot? The Bears " sugar" a lot, so if their LBs have "conservative" under play ball in the air, slot abuse can be a HUGE exploit by the user.

Just won my first game. Let's just say a certain someone put the team on his back with 11 catches for 193 yards and a game winning TD

Pros:
Good animation
Tackling
control direction of player movement (smooth and realistic)
Score fonts look smooth (call me crazy but small things count and I noticed it)
Defense is not so erratic, you can make precise passes if receiver is open.
Run blocking seems to be good. Linemen actually pick up blocks.
You can now bounce off defenders allowing star backs to break free (Broken tackles)

Cons:
Game flow no pictures for play
kicking meter too difficult (kicking shouldn't be easy but it shouldn't be extremely hard)
Presentation is just tunnel entrance (Basic) I've been spoiled with NFL 2k's ESPN

Overall:
I need more playtime but the demo can't tell you everything. I'm liking the gameplay, the players feel more real. We all know Madden is crap out of the box so depending on sliders we won't know for sure how good the game. Overall, it's seem to play solid. I like how the AI defense doesn't have superman on their team anymore.

Big disappointment on the choice of rosters. I don't want last years NFC title roster. I want current. So many messages were deleted, I have a feeling this game is not a favorite.

First red flag IMO.....probably my biggest pet peeve ever with EA Sports football titles.....

GB(CPU) has the ball at the Chicago 40 with 39 seconds left in a time game and 2 time outs.

They run Grant to the 35 on first down. No huddle and run Grant to the 32 on 2nd down and then use a to. Grant gets stuffed on third down at the 34 and they let the clock run out without calling a time out and at least trying the FG to win.

In the first game I played, GB had a 31-0 lead with under 2 minutes to go and went for it on 4th and 3 at the Chicago 35, made the first down and lined up in a spread formation and were still throwing. WTF?!?!?!

Why does the CPU clock late game/half clock management never get the attention it deserves? EVERY FREAKING YEAR!!! Why?!?!? I hope this gets fixed in the final version.

Another small issue are the huge audio dropouts. The crowd noise is huge during the Bears intro as it should be for a Packers game. They cut to the coin toss and you can hear a pin drop in that stadium.

# 319 Yeah...THAT Guy @ 08/09/11 07:13 PM
To update you guys on Flynn vs. Rodgers, Flynn is doing a great job sensing pressure and getting rid of the ball just in time, but his passes have been very sporadic.

Edit: He just threw his second INT of the game on another ball that he floated too much.

Presentation in NFL2k ESPN spoiled you? Compared to this???? Not goiing to spark a 2k vs Madden talk, but I think Madden 12's presentation is in a league of its own when it comes to what we have seen in football video games.
