I see they didn't fix the broken hurry up offenses for spread teams. Sure some spread teams don't huddle, but they also wait 20-30 seconds to get the play called in from the sideline and sub guys in and out. Not every teams hurries to the line and snaps the ball within 10 seconds of the last play unless you're Gus Malzahn. I know its a minor gripe, but its one that irritated me from last year.
Other than that the game plays what I expected which feels like a more polished version of NCAA 11.
Not only that, but the damn clock doesn't start running until the players are set! It should start running as soon as the ref spots the ball!
Anybody else have a lot of turnovers resulting in touchdowns? Pretty much every game I play I take a pick to the house. Also, the computer sacks me and I fumble a lot, and 90% of the time, they pick it up and take it the distance.
I like strong defense in a video game, but that doesn't mean it should be turnover city!
i have to admit that this game is growing on me. at first it felt stale but now that i have played 4 games i am starting to love it. the removal of suction blocking and tackling is huge
it scares me that people are already complaining about getting sacked, I was worried about this happening. Guys we begged EA to make the pass rush better dont start crying for the nerf bat already, I will cry if in the first tuner pack I see - "Tweaked CPU pass rush down."
We need the cpu controlled d-line to be aggressive!
Skillz I havent tried an AA game yet I will after I finish my current Texas - Oregon game on heisman. Thomas has scrambled twice so far on in this one, first two times I have seen it happen ever on heisman
I have never played Ncaa on the Ps3. Is it usually this ugly!? I was alittler surprised to be honest. The gameplay was nice, animations even nicer. The graphics ew....
I know some others have reported seeing the CPU QB scramble, but so far in about 15-20 demo games all on All-American or Heisman, I haven't seen the CPU QB scramble once. I have seen them sidestep the rush a couple times though, but have not seen them take off and run. Hope this is better in retail version.
I think this issue is much like last year in which the level plays a huge role in the QB actually looking to throw more as opposed to running it
I know most might disagree but on heisman level i think the QB is only looking to pass at all cost 1st....awareness effects the QB's ability to find the open man and the level is designed to make the CPU more aggressive in the passing game.
Therfor throwig the ball on that level is the most aggressive way to combat a human opponent's defense. It's kinda like run blocking you'll see aggressive blocks up front that result in human defender being destroyed at the LOS more often than not on heisman level.....there are no sliders in the demo to remedy this situation right now
I can almost gurantee you if you play 2 test games on Varsity level and not worry about the final score just focus on the CPU's QB play you'll see them take off more than they would on Heisman because they won't recognize the open WR as quickly......
It was this way in NCAA 11 and today in the game i played vs Oregon their QB looked to scramble 3 times on me. Basically the same type of AI behavior i saw in NCAA 11 with the QB's
I think everyone is noticing the dreads is because they added the worst style possible. If they added the shorter ones or even medium length noone would care but these things do not look normal. How do you mess that up?

Playmakers, please tell me you are doing another Varsity slider set this year
it was so stupid of them to make the dreads so long. I mean common sense if these guys watched just one Saturday of college football they'd know its not a common thing for dreads to be THAT long. So if youre going to pick 1 style to have in the game you def don't choose that one. I think i'd rather have the Madden ponytail style than these long Predator looking things.
i see i'm not the only one who dislikes the dreads
i will simply edit them out of the game it looks pathetic
