There's only 3 minutes left in the game, so they don't want you to run out the clock.

Awesome little things I noticed:

-Crowd will show disappointment
-Coaches will chew out.talk to players
-Muffed punts

Has anybody seen a blocked FG/PAT/Punt?

Am I the only one who thinks the fields look like crap? I mean the replays are cool but when actual playing the fields look bad. Especially the Texas field. Its pixalated to me on the field logos. Anyone else find the fields crappy looking? Maybe im just spoiled from playing MLB The Show and how amazing that game looks. Maybe ill download the demo on my ps3 and see if it looks better then the 360

Just played my third game, this time on Heisman. Played as Oregon at Texas.

Summary:

Score:
Texas (CPU)- 24
Oregon (me)- 14

I really loved the way Heisman felt. Texas took back a kick off on me, had a long run from the shotgun for a score, had a 7 play drive for 6, and hit a 50 yard field goal (which was the only annoyance).

Its hard to tell with the small quarter length, but I just liked the way Texas beat me. There didn't seem to be any "cheating" going on by the CPU which was cool. Missed coverages, a broken tackle, and nice blocking on their kick return were the only differences in the game. It felt really fluid, which is something I haven't said about NCAA in a long time.

My impression of this game is I don't like it at all. I am not at all tempted to buy it. Very dull and boring. The game looks bare graphically, and to be honest at times borders a ps2 type of a look. The 3d grass is even more terribly implemented then I thought it would be. It doesnt blend or flow at all with the old blotchy grass we have had for the past5-6 years. The tackling felt a bit better, and I did notice double hit tackles. Suction tackling was much better. The passing game seamed wack. On one play, I couldn't make throws that even I in real life could make, yet on the next play I could heave the ball beautifully 40 yards for a grab. The game just didnt make since to me, an I am a sim player who likes challenges. I dont expect to make a first down everytime, I dont want to make a first down everytimes, but there were times when I couldnt complete a 5 yard wide open pass standing still. Very weird game. I have a very hard time understanding how EA's football games get so much hype. I just don't see it. This game was extremely arcade football
I agree about the graphics. The fields look like absolute crap

I wasn't a fan of last years demo so I didn't get the game but something about this years game feels good. I thought the running game was good and the passing game had its ups and downs. The biggest problem I had was sacks. I got sacked like 6-7 times by Oregon and probably another 4 times by Florida State. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its the game but if I could fix the number of sacks in a game I think I would be all set.

Really wish they would let us have online play in these demos, would keep it from getting boring after a few play throughs.
Smooth ? is anyone else getting stutter on kick off returns ? The little stutter is bad in certain situations and is unacceptable. Am I the only one seeing it ? sorry i didn't read this whole thread.

Games smooth to me and the fields/crowd/stadiums look good too. I really have not seen anything negative as far as the graphics look, except for the faces of the players/coaches which are of course generic.

I know some others have reported seeing the CPU QB scramble, but so far in about 15-20 demo games all on All-American or Heisman, I haven't seen the CPU QB scramble once. I have seen them sidestep the rush a couple times though, but have not seen them take off and run. Hope this is better in retail version.

On Heisman the cpu QB makes a lot of wild throws that be way off the mark. I mean that ball be sailing ! To the left, to the right, too far, too short.

Zone defense is much tighter as well. Rush defense is still suspect though for the cpu. Can run up the middle a little bit too well.

you give me hope. I was afraid that i could complete every pass. You seem to have problems in the passing game which is great because so far user passing is too easy.
Did you see overthrows?

Who you playing against ? FSU QB seems to take off the most to me.

I like the demo, it feels different then NCAA11, but as some other have pointed out, it seems like the graphics and the sound took a hit. I wonder if the final version will have cleaner graphics and better sound??????

played 2 games, one of each matchup (im on 360):

Played on AA.

Alabama(me) vs Fla St. - Several turnovers in game, all INT(3), was 7-3 going into 4th, they get a touchdown pass with 20 sec left to win 10-7. My touchdown was on a hail mary pass before the half.

Oregon(me) vs Texas - All me on this one beside a late texas TD, I won 20-7. I started game with a kickoff return for TD. Also had a nice drive to get a running TD inside redzone. Also 2 FG. The Texas o-line on numerous occasions were just pancaking my d-line with ease, anyone else notice this?

Game looks great, added presentation is cool. Play seems like a refined 2011, which to me is not a bad thing. New tackling is nice and ofcourse defense is way better.

10-0 victory against Texas
I am able to generate a good pass rush. Got 2 sacks that was user-related.
1 thing I didnt like was that once I was able to get pressure on the QB he started to act scary. The Qb starts to scramble away and hangs on the ball until last sec

OK so I have three more games to report on.

I played a third CPU game, again on Heisman, FSU vs Bama and lost 28-20.

All of Bamas TDs were long plays. Three big runs by Richardson where my d line was just pancaked in unison and a deep pass on a blitz where I deserved to get beat. On offense I was able to complete deep passes even against the Bama D on heisman.

Then, my roommate and I played two user games. We are pretty even in skill. FIrst game was Oregon vs Texas, he was Oregon, I was Texas. We set it to heisman.

He won 14-7. My TD was a fumbled pitch return for a TD, my offense was ****. I had a couple decent runs but Gilbert was eaten alive. Something about the way zone defense played in the user games bothers me. The defenders just play so soft. Passes are being completed that in real life wouldnt be because the defender would be right there to make a play but in the game you can just lob it up against zone and the defender will sit there, watch him catch it, and then tackle. It really bothers me. I didnt notice this as much in the CPU games, but definitely in both user games. We both had vertical plays against zone where we just lobbed it into coverage and came down with it uncontested. I had a theory that made this was only happening because we had it heisman and heisman dumbs down user players so our next game we played:

Me: Bama Him: FSU

This time set to All-American.

Game seemed to play a little better. I am frustrated by the lack of man align pre snap function working once again. Does anybody over at EA test this? Its hard for me to blitz when I have to manually align the guys in coverage and try to get back to my LB in time before he snaps it, which of ourse he will ASAP when he sees me doing this. I won 21-14 in OT. I was able to run it pretty easily against him. Zone D seemed to play kinda tight, I still dont see defenders being aggressive at all...they just sit back and let it happen right next to them...kinda frustrating. Pass rush from the front 4 was again very inconsistent. More inconsistent then in the CPU games.

Oh, and just to point out, in 4 CPU games on heisman, not a single scramble.

So far I have played against every team except for FSU. I hate Bama, which is why I haven't used them yet. I'll guess I will play as them to see if the FSU QB actually scrambles, but there is no reason why the other QB's shouldn't have taken off at least once. Darron Thomas in particular with his running ability, should have taken off at least a couple of times. Like I said I am hoping the demo is an older build and they made some tweaks to it since then, but as it stands I haven't noticed improvement in this area.

Guys, check and see if the "strip button, LB" does anyhing for you. Seems like its not working for me. Last year when you hit it you could see the player perform strip animation. I'm not seeing it this year, going to play another game to double check.

Still getting instances, on Kick Return, where the returner runs the ball as if he is running the option. This was a bug/glitch in 2011, too.

Yes. Go to controls and you can turn it off as well as auto strafe.
