If thats what you thought I wanted, then I have to think you didnt even bother reading my post at all. Glad you like the game.....my 12 year old could have completed some of those passes. The games passing logic made no sense. The game did not play correctly IMO. I am perfectly fine with throwing bad passes, if there is cause for it. Tight throw, long throw, throw on the run, throw under pressure, throw on the run,ec.....I am not about any of those situations in my posts. Just wide open 5-10 yard bad passes, but me and the receiver just standing there for seconds. It felt very random and CPU dictated.
I figured when I replied to you I'd get a response like this. Forget I said anything. I've seen plenty of high major college QBs that throw bad 5-10 yard passes to wide open WRs every once in awhile so the game didn't seem overly fake or dictated to me. Glad your 12 year old is so great though. Good for you.
So in my 7th CPU game on HEisman I finally see my first CPU scramble, THomas finally tucked it and ran after zero pressure from my 3 man rush (to be expected), it looked pretty good.
Again guys, I gotta ask, maybe its just playing on heisman, but cover 2 zone doesnt stop anything for me. I know its supposed to get beat by verticals, but even the hitches and comebacks are killing it....how do you stop 5 yard hitches in this game>?
After a few more games to build on earlier impressions (360 and now PS3 too)....
Pros
- WR screens actually work more than 20% of the time. Yes!
- Some new commentary sprinkled in. Overall, the commentary doesn't flow, so meh.
- Do the players models look better to anyone else? I think they look better. Shoulder pads seem more appropriate. Sleeves, etc.
- Some throwing motions look beautiful (also see below).
- Scrambling CPU QBs.
- Just a beautiful looking game.
- The running game is just a blast. Defending it and on offense. Hitting holes and cutting back is so damn fun. The counter trey even works. I wish I had Percy Harvin!! LOL. I can't wait to use Rainey and Demps with a custom playbook.
- Some of these replays look flat out awesome. Nice camera angle variety compared to previous years.
Cons
- Kick returns may be a tad too easy overall.
- No Huddle offense is still a ???
- Some throwing motions look downright odd.
- Default speed is a tad fast, but we have options, so I am very happy. On "Slow", this game will be golden.
- Crowd is still too tame at times. Custom Stadium Sounds and the atmosphere will be glorious....again.
- CPU blitzes the corners way too often. Their D Coordinator needs to chill out.
I am going to spend some more time on Heisman now after playing mostly AA.
I know I am the first to hop on the NCAA Hype Train, but I absolutely love this game (demo) and cannot wait to hunt this sucker down! Woot-Woot!!
Way to easy to get sacks.
Game plays a lot better
Crowd seems to quiet, wear is that big play excitement they teased us about? (I'm hoping its just the demo)
The presentation looks great, game plays fairly solid. Those deep lob money plays seem like they're gone. Didn't see any superman LBs... Tackling looks and feels way better. The play calling is gonna take a little getting used to.
to me they spent too much time on team run outs and not enough time on making the game feel fresh. while its better than 2011 it still feels like the same game.
For me... play action has been amazing! especially with Texas and Bama. I've not had a screen get blown up of course I've ran it on down and distances where you would expect blitzes. Same with play action... I feel if I set it up and run it after a fake snap it opens up well. Derron Thomas ran on me which made me incredibly happy.
With Bama D I noticed myself getting frustrated with Hightower because I wanted him to be right there and it felt he had no acceleration what so ever, but I'm all for it. Also Manuel completed only 2 of 8 passes both screens... he threw the ball away every other time. I feel like he would scramble in some of those situations?
As for dreads and people complaining... how many of the complainers actually do your own rosters or make the edits and how many of you just download someone elses work? While I know it's annoying right out of the box it will be easily fixable.
Good game overall I'm more than happy with the outcome after some tweeks. Oh and I play on All-American and feel a good challenge which is a relief. I actually lost to Oregon 17-7 the last game I played
Yeah on Heisman......QBs rarely scramble. On All American they scramble at a pretty good rate. But on Heisman QBs are too pass happy and if nobody is open, they hold on to the ball way too long.
So I am thinking for retail all american or varsity with adjusted sliders....Same thing I did last year.
Heisman always seem to play well except for a couple of key areas. And lack of scrambling QBs on Heisman is something I am not going to tolerate.
Got to have my scrambling QBs and I get that on all american and lower.
Way to easy to get sacks.
Game plays a lot better
Crowd seems to quiet, wear is that big play excitement they teased us about? (I'm hoping its just the demo)
I felt the complete opposite about the sacks. Whenever I got close to the QB he'd be able to throw it away. Even when he was falling to the ground.

Bad Things:
Additional things I've seen, probably already noted...
That Bullrush/rollover animation against OL should only happen against RB's.
That simply is not a Norm for OL/DL interaction in College Football, which makes it "Gimmicky". (I can see it happening against RB's, not OL)
OL using the Screen Blocking Animation were they Throw the DL to the side, on the ground on Pass plays must be toned down.
Cut Blocks by Off Tackles and RB's need to be increased greatly.
Especially by OT's on quick slants/screen's and RB's blocking Blitzers.
WR's still waiting to Basket Catch the ball instead of jumping to get.
**Red Zone "Fade Route" is absent.
Does not animate out correctly.
Good Things:
Hopefully it's not me just wanting to see something, but I liked how the OL/TE/RB seemed to Double-team my DE after his 3rd sack.
-It's actually fun to play the DL (minus the OL issues noted above)
-Without doing any swim/power moves, the DL tries to push his way to the QB
New Tackle animations.
LB dove and one hand grabbed my RB's shoulder pad on a Sweep play and spun him around due to how the contact occured. (nice)
WR's dropping balls when hit as they are making the catch.
-I will tweak injury ratings downward again for WR/TE's so that when they are put in a situation were they will get there "Head-Knocked-Off", they should get injured.
Again, Ratings will have to be adjusted Downward across the board to help clean up/minimize some of the Negative things we're seeing but it's a Buy for me to fill my College Football Void!!!
**Has it been noted how many Playbooks we can do?
-Some plays don't make sense need to be removed completely (Double Corner Blitz) as they are rarely/if ever done at the college level.
