I hate that "bong" sound on tackles!

Because that's not supposed to be lamicheal James....

Anyway, I was able to play one game at lunch (Bama/FSU on AA). I ended up losing 6-3. I'm actually thrilled that I'm not as good as some of you at this game

Quick Notes:
-The game is just beautiful especially the enterances, cut scenes & lighting.
-The playbook takes some tome to get used to but, nothing to complicated. Also, I noticed quite a few new plays.
-The new tackling system is awesome. I'm anxious to see how it works on slow speed.
-CPU coverage played as advertised. I ended up throwing two picks. One to the flats and another that I misread and threw to the saftey over the top in Cover Two.
- My D got to their QB twice. Neither were user sacks.
-The return game seems slightly improved.

That's all I have for now. I'll hang up and listen.

Texas vs. Oregon

LaMichael James has now returned both kickoffs for me. The first one was helped with a juke and a spin. The second one was too easy. I ran to the left and straight up the sideline untouched. Both returns were on the left side.

I hope so, FSU definitely didn't sound like FSU, way too soft of a crowd of that size.

I agree, despite this it was a good experience. Played smooth and didn't encounter anything problematic, now just waiting for some Teambuilder news.

1) I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love CPU QB on Heisman level. It seems just right. The CPU misses passes, moves in the pocket, hits his receivers etc. That makes me very happy because usually on Heisman the CPU will throw the ball so quick as to never get sacked...then if you dumbed it down he would make bonehead throws. I actually got a coverage sack and the QB just ate it.

2) Oregon is going to be a handfull to deal with if they are being played with the right person. RB's like LaMichael James and Trent Richardson will give people fits.

3) Can I wait 2 weeks or do I need to go on a scavenger hunt???

I'm gonna love this game!!!

I finally got a couple games in on my lunch break. 1st game All-American Ore(me) 14- Texas 7. 2nd game Heisman Alabama(me) 14 FSU 0.

I must say there are a lot of things I loved. The tackling seemed more real. Although I like that the players kind of roll after being hit or slide, I think it is overdone sometimes. But still loved it. My 1st game I ran 2 times for 4 yds each then through a pick 6. Then my very next play through another pick. Luckily they threw one right back to me. I would say int slider will need adjusted but both of mine were bad reads and the computer had a guy but the new zone defense allowed my safety to sneak around and get into position once ball was released. Plus I dropped 2 or 3 int's.

Other things I noticed, running is more about hitting holes then in previous. Before you could juke/spin your way even when defense was in postition. Still didn't notice stiff arm working really well. But I like running up the middle and ran out of every formation possible including spread. CPU didn't run great against me but had some really nice runs. Especially FSU's QB. He killed me in scrambling after having great protection and just noone getting open he would take off.

I really liked both games. I do want the cpu offense to do better. I guess you could say as Alabama they have a great defense and every team will struggle to move the ball. Especially on 2 min qtrs. And Texas offense was bad last year, and Gilbert looked like the real Tex QB.

Not a big sample size but I didn't notice anything glaringly bad. I even felt that the CPU blocked better on KR's and managed to get over the 30 a couple times, I can't remember them ever doing that in 11.

The crowd sounds like you are hearing the stadium from way across campus.

Hey guys I played 2 games this morning.

1st game Oregon(me) vs Texas

- Sacked Texas QB for a Safety
- Had 4 sacks
- I threw 3 ints rushing the pass

I can say that i like the new tackling... There are still times when a Defender is right in front of the runner and does not try to tackle the runner. Not even a arm tackle.

Also DB's dont turn their head to see the ball, they just catch the Int.

Running the ball seems fluent, you can actually see the whole and the blocks being made.

I like the game so far. ready for the 12th

Played one game.
Not likin it really.

I was FSU vs Bama (all american)

3 straight plays 3 of my 4 Dlineman were on the ground at the snap when Bama executed a run play.

Also, Havent read through the thread but has anyones Returners NOT been catching the Kickoff?
2 Straight times my returner just let the ball hit him, or it went through him and out of the endzone

Out of the 5 or so option plays, not once did I see the QB pitch the ball to the RB.

Played a half as Bama against FSU and quit. I was able to gain 5+ yards every run. I did like how inconsistent their QB was. Even with my feet planted he would miss some throws.

The good is tackling, graphics, and zone. The bad is how easy it is on offense. The terrible is the CPU's running ability.
Your never going to get a realistic game as long as you are controling the players. Stop controling the players, and play in the new Coach Mode. Still waiting for PSN to get the demo up, but I assume the demo is playable in Coach Mode right? Luckily we have Coach Mode(with Broadcast Camera) this year, and the ability to play as the Offensive Cordniator so we won't be able to cheese, and go for it on 4th down all the time.

Loving it so far. Only complaint is the CPU throws the ball away way to quickly.

In the process of downloading right now. After hearing what everyone has had to say, I can't wait to play.

1) Either Texas is horrible this year or Oregon is one of the best teams to play in the last 10 years! Either way I'm thinking User running will need to be toned down or CPU Rush Defense will need to be ratchet up on Heisman.

2) Is the "X" button the wrap tackle button on XBOX360?

Gameplay feels good, gonna have to find a slider set that puts the game in between all american and heisman. No suction and warping makes the game feel great, really helps the run game. Best NCAAF on next gen consoles definitely. Has me excited to play Madden as I think Madden looks better on camera than this is playing in my hands. Blocking has improved. AI has improved. Great job NCAA team. Not trying to make a comparison but I think the 2 games from that other company can be put to rest now.

is there any legit info on a demo tuner? seen this mentioned some.

More observations and something I forgot to mention:

In my Bama-FSU game, FSU returned a kickoff. So that's three kickoff returns in two games.

The poor timeout logic is back. Texas called a timeout right at 1 minute (just like last year) after calling for a hurry up offense and getting set at the line. I'm sure we'll see them calling timeouts at 2:01 (in the 2nd and 4th quarters) when the game releases.

Also, Texas ran a draw on 3rd and 17 with 1:30 to go in the 2nd quarter.

The CPU is 2/2 with onside kicks. In the Oregon-Texas game, the 'Horns ran four verticals on four consecutive plays with 1 timeout left and 1:20 left in the game -- resulting in a sack, two incompletions and an INT.

On six four verticals from the CPU, none have been successful. The QB holds on to the ball way too long and either gets sacked or throws a ball short. The most disturbing thing is the four consecutive hail mary plays with a ton of time left on the clock to run a normal hurry up offense.

these dreads are just laughable. I'd rather have none then what I'm seeing in the demo.

Ehhhhh think I might have to play on Heisman this year, All American seems much easier this year then it did in the past.
