Push the shot stick away from the basket while driving for a floater (don't hold RT or LT)

Push the shot stick to either the left or right side of your player while relatively close to the basket. If you're close enough you'll do a hook shot, if you're too far from the basket you'll do a fadeaway.

Does anyone have a video helping with the spin move? I can do all other moves except the spin and the half spin.

Is it better to shoot with the stick or actually pushing square? If it's better with the stick, looks like I have some practice to do.

For some reason, I use the square on set jumpshots, right stick when moving or in traffic. My brain just tells my fingers to do it, my fingers have no control.

I think it's more a matter of which you prefer the most. I went with right stick....

....but for along time I did this same thing. Coming over as a Live player all I knew was button shooting, but I just kept practicing and now use right stick on all shots and it has become second nature.

Can you believe I still don't know the pick and pop commands?

The whole LB/LB scheme is just something I never figured out.

# 448 HarryDickman @ 01/26/11 09:37 AM
To pick and pop hold L1 or left bumper until you see the little fade out icon {its two small xs on a line}. Remember that the icon only appears when the screener is set so you have to hold whatever button youve choosen fairly long. You do it the same way when selecting a screener with the quick play button. just hold their respective icon until you see the fade out icon. Sometimes I like to use the lead passing controls after the pick is set to lead my man to a specific area or ill use total control passing or quick player lock to set some mismatches and various other things up.

It's really hit or miss I feel, I'm probably doing it wrong though but sometimes your guy will roll sometimes he'll pop no longer how long or short you hold the LB.

Is anyone an expert on the Layup Packages and how to trigger them? I'm on 2k Camera and feel like I have done every combination possible both with no defender and a defender infront of me and I have not once been able to pull of Crawford's shake n bake. Now I changed it to Kobe's reverse pivot or w/e and no idea how to do that either. Looked around, can't find a good list for either that worked for me.

I've tried messing around with the PnP controls you guys mentioned and it's definitely not consistent, at least for me.

In 2k10 this was very easy to control.

Guys,
How on earth do you pull off a baby hook with Magic Johnson? Can you?

# 453 HarryDickman @ 02/05/11 09:48 AM
Thats probably one of Magics Momentum Post moves. Just go to options and then go to advanced controls and then navigate to the post offense area. Youll get all the info you need there. Hope this helps

Just remember that as soon as the screener starts to run towards you let go of the button if you want a pick and roll but if you want a pick and pop situation hold the button until the screener gets his feet set. Its very consistent if you follow these rules

Its just a running hook shot. Easiest way to trigger it and get a feel for the timing is to start from behind the basket. Run across the basket and push the shot stick in the direction you are running.

In game, I use the running hook shots out of the triple threat. You can and go right into the hook animation for a high percentage shot with good inside players.

I posted a tutorial of the shake n bake. Just to a title search for shake bake tutorial for detailed explanation. It's a hop step layup - you need to be running, and hop step layup towards your ballhand when a player is right in front of you about 5-10 feet from the rim.

NICE. I'll give it a shot tonight. I was messing around last night and I still couldn't get it.

What about a fake pick and cut?

# 458 HarryDickman @ 02/05/11 10:54 AM
To perform a fake pick and cut wait until the screener starts running towards you and then press and hold L1 for about a sec and release it. remember you cant do this when you call for a pick with total pick control {for obvious reasons, maybe theyll have it next year}. you have to use total player control for that

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere in this thread, but for some reason I can't pull-off a 360 dunk in this game. I've tried twirling the right stick in a circular motion left and right, and still nothing happens. I know certain players can't pull off this move, but I was trying to do it with Kobe and I still couldn't pull it off. Any tips?

Don't use Kobe.
