Love the controls and the entire system but damn, where was the foot planting and momentum. It honestly looked like they had skates on. The game was moving way to fast and the animations need a ton of work. I'll watch it again but this video hurt Elite quite a bit for me.
I agree it looks nice, but have concerns by how easy things are being pulled off, and how Live 10 issues can show up to make Elite 11 have the same problems if not more easier to pull off in this game then last. If guys are running around at this pace there were in this video, oh man is Mo, Bibby, Nash, Miller going to be a nightmare in elite with high 3pt% bomb squaders.

Think people need to understand that they are just showing off some things ealry here and things like momentum, footplanting and the ease of scoring etc are not refelective of the final product. Lets just enjoy the video for what it is and wait for further videos when the polish starts to come and other things implemented

Yes. We don't have to pull out the microscope for footage that is 4 months from release. If it was September 15th, then bitch on. For me, I thoroughly enjoyed this video and the controls look spot on! Kudos!

To be fair though, I think all the criticism I've read so far is completely valid and constructive. 90% of the reaction so far has been positive and we're thrilled with that, but I'm just as happy to hear the critique.
The part that makes me happy is the things people have pointed out are things we're working on. No surprises is a good thing
I'm not going to try and argue that the players didn't lack momentum or that there wasn't a little foot sliding or that some of the moves may appear easy to pull off. Those are all valid concerns.
I don't think we'll fix everything (no game is ever perfect) but we're working hard to fix as much as we can that has been out.
Some things will be a trade off between look at feel. As a video game developer that is by far one of the hardest things to balance.
All I want is for you guys to try the demo for yourselves when it comes out. You only get half the picture by watching a video. Feel is just as important as look and you won't be able to appreciate the tradeoffs we've made until you've felt it and seen it.
And all the positive reaction has given me another boost of energy. Another late night for me!

I completely agree with you, the game has some amazing control scheme and looks nice and I give them props. Not trying to bash them by any means, I love the series and have been playing since Live 95. Plus I'm an NBA Elite Mod over at the EA Forums, so it would be tough to moderate and bash the game at the same time.
Just saying, we are posting concerns and addressing to make the game better. With that said, lets move on.
