MLB 10 News Post

V.3 is finished and is currently up on SportsConnect under the name of "strut24v3done". Please remember to vote thumbs up to the file when you download, so any impostor files aren't mistaken.

This version has everything in v.2 PLUS RAZR's pitch and stamina edits and strut24's stance/delivery updates. ALL stances/motions are done as of June 11. Anyone called up after that, has not been added yet but will be added to my IN SEASON thread. So guys like Joe Martinez, Enrique Gonzalez, Daniel Nava, Justin Ruggiano etc have NOT been done yet. Here is the link to the In Season thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-rosters.html

Here is a Word document of all the changes that strut did to the rosters: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ml24bf

What is going on with the file now, you ask? JaSnake is working on v4, which will include updates to the stock SCEA players to update current real life performance. There is no ETA at this time for that file.

Here is HustlinOwl's Franchise File, which is for users that want a 30 team user controlled franchise file: http://www.mediafire.com/?okncwnj2wnm

Here are RAZR's slider suggestions for these rosters. These sliders may help users who are having issues with USER VS CPU IN GAME stamina.

Quote:
For those who don't mind changing sliders use these for what I believe to be the fullest experience of the stamina edits

USER
Pitch control 1
Consistency 7

CPU
Control 5
Consistency 3
Strike Frequency 0
Manager Hook 4

and
Starter Stamina 5
Reliever Stamina 0 for both user and cpu

For those that prefer to stick as close as possible to default use these suggestions that SoxFan posted

Starter Stamina (User): 6
Reliever Stamina (User): 3

Starter Stamina (CPU): 7
Reliever Stamina (CPU): 5 (default)
Manager Hook (CPU): 3

sorry to ask and nag, but do any of u have an ETA of when v4 will be released? thnx for all the hard work done by all to make this game such a pleasure, even though I'm to busy waiting for rosters to start franchise

They said they are going to try for tonight but it could also be tomorow depending on how things go. So not to much longer! Im excited to start a franchise as well! Thanks for the Hardwork everyone involved!

Could you guys tell me what difficulty levels you will use for pitching and hitting, and which slider s you will use for that difficulty settings ? Thanks

# 244 zman2392 @ 06/21/10 12:08 PM
To start off im going to use Psychos perfect slider set I believe with pitching at Hall of Fame and Batting at the difficulty below Hall of Fame (can't remember if its veteran or allstar) Im going to adjust the slider slightly for my preferences however such as pitch speed at 4 and use classic instead o meter pitching (never liked the idea but tried it recently and found it to be much more accurate in terms of pitch counts and walks)

just a quick question, but whats up with the stamina ratings on the latest roster update? I noticed guys like Michael Bowden of the Sox have very little stamina, not a big concern but Bowdens a guy I like to use for spot starts but his stamina rating makes him unable to pitch more than an inning.

he's a starter- 13 starts in AAA this year. He's probably destined for the bullpen but still an ok starter.

Yes, he's absolutely a starter...but like mentioned, probably destined to be a Long Reliever for the Sox, unless traded...

BoSox fans...McDonald...how has he looked? looked below-average in cincy in '09 but his stats look decent in limited action for you guys...Mike Lowell...done? Cameron...hurt? done? and what about this Daniel Nava kid?...has only 27 at bats but has been hot...Beltre? .336...are you serious? is Ramon R. Ramirez starting in the minors? or is he a reliever now? I am sort of confused by some of the stamina ratings...figured some would play a part from this season...Beckett is a 96? I'll have more for you tomorrow...keep the questions/suggestions coming...
Well if it's a small sample size, then I wouldn't change it just because JaSnake doesn't change his. Don't know how it would go if one sub division had rating boosts for players w/ 'limited' action and one didn't. It would be unbalanced don't you think? But then again... this is a video game, so.

Update: TD made some subtle adjustments after looking over players and is testing the set. Its either gonna be later tonight or tommorrow for sure.

Thanks for the update, Ja! Always thankful when you guys update us... any word on Knight and whether or not he'll make any changes to the roster?

# 254 Who_Dey_91 @ 06/21/10 06:51 PM
No. I'm pretty sure it is still opening day rosters. It just has re-rated players in V4.

Im gonna PM him now, but he had mentioned earlier just to release the set. I am not a player creator but if something is mispelled or something like that I can fix it. I fixed the two Padres: Tate now hits from the correct side and Zadawzki is spelled correctly. If there is something like that I will correct it. PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO ADD X, Y or Z PLAYER LOL.

(Nearly) All of the pitchers had their stamina lowered when RAZR did his pitch edits. Sliders have been suggested to counter this, but since I like default sliders, I have been rerating the starters stamina for my personal set based on V.3.

The relievers I'm leaving alone because the lower stamina works great on default.

Sorry, I overlooked him as a minor league starter when I was puttin the numbers together. His major league numbers warranted the 8 for stamina. If you plan on using him as a starter, change his stamina to 63 (based on the formula we used), and if you plan on using him just as a long reliever, you can change him to 35.

PS. Is it bad I keep refreshing this page every 5 minutes to see if the rosters have been released? lol I'm ready to start my Braves chise and actually PLAY this game haha! Good work to everyone that's worked on these!

I'm still a week away from when ever these drop. I do my on equipment edits which usually take a week or so (maybe less since I'm free on weekends now). I did em for the AL on V2 and they make a world of difference especially for cleats.
