MLB 10 News Post

V.3 is finished and is currently up on SportsConnect under the name of "strut24v3done". Please remember to vote thumbs up to the file when you download, so any impostor files aren't mistaken.

This version has everything in v.2 PLUS RAZR's pitch and stamina edits and strut24's stance/delivery updates. ALL stances/motions are done as of June 11. Anyone called up after that, has not been added yet but will be added to my IN SEASON thread. So guys like Joe Martinez, Enrique Gonzalez, Daniel Nava, Justin Ruggiano etc have NOT been done yet. Here is the link to the In Season thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-rosters.html

Here is a Word document of all the changes that strut did to the rosters: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ml24bf

What is going on with the file now, you ask? JaSnake is working on v4, which will include updates to the stock SCEA players to update current real life performance. There is no ETA at this time for that file.

Here is HustlinOwl's Franchise File, which is for users that want a 30 team user controlled franchise file: http://www.mediafire.com/?okncwnj2wnm

Here are RAZR's slider suggestions for these rosters. These sliders may help users who are having issues with USER VS CPU IN GAME stamina.

Quote:
For those who don't mind changing sliders use these for what I believe to be the fullest experience of the stamina edits

USER
Pitch control 1
Consistency 7

CPU
Control 5
Consistency 3
Strike Frequency 0
Manager Hook 4

and
Starter Stamina 5
Reliever Stamina 0 for both user and cpu

For those that prefer to stick as close as possible to default use these suggestions that SoxFan posted

Starter Stamina (User): 6
Reliever Stamina (User): 3

Starter Stamina (CPU): 7
Reliever Stamina (CPU): 5 (default)
Manager Hook (CPU): 3

to answer the previous posters question...v4 will pretty much have everything...the only stuff im unsure is done would be equipment and jersey numbers...

big ups to everyone at OS...Knight...RAZR, Strut, JaSnake...everyone...this is why I don't have to really buy many games outside of the the Show every year...
orioles minor league out field needs a face lift let knight know.

Please re-consider the ratings of Luis Valdez, Michael Dunn, Jordan Schafer (potential), and Brooks Conrad on the Braves!

Conrad got a boost. Schafer, no way he hasnt done anything to warrant that. Dunn and Valdez are Knight players I did not adjust Knight players.

Overlooked them then, their sample set was too small last season that I left them out when making my spreadsheet. I will take a look and adjust. Happy

Does anyone know if this download still has the problem in franchise where after 2014ish theres a lot of high rated free agents? Or is this caused by something else? Thanks!

Frank Herrmann's (RP Indians) last name is misspelled.

Also, you might want to check and raise his attributes. He's not a top prospect, but he's a great relief pitcher.

I don't remember what his pitch types and pitch speeds are on this roster, but I'm pretty sure that they're not accurate, either.

Yes he did.

Guys I just want to reiterate that there will be players I did not re-rate. Those with tremendously small sample sets, when generating my spreadsheets I did not touch for obvious reasons. So there are some SCEA players untouched. If there are some obscure guys out there that are actually making an impact, let me know this way I can see if I touched on them or not. If I didnt I can make the adjustment before the set is released tommorrow. TD has the set and is doing some touch-ups, he may get some guys that I missed. Just let us know.

Hey, been watching this roster forum for a while now, well since v.1. First time poster. Jw, but will v.4 have the issue with 2014 and having too many "A" potential players??

P.S. Thank you for all that u guys have done with this roster. downloaded for the first time last year and have loved it ever since.

I second that question

Are the version 3 pitch edits and batting stances accurate. Roy Halladay had a knuckle curve and lannan and olsen only have 2 seamers no 4 seamers? Is this correct? Please tell me, thanks.

I did all the jersey #s back when I had the file so most of those should be done with the exception of guys called up since V3 was released

Don't hurt him too much.

I'm sure you already know that when he hits it, he hits it HARD. (i know his #s aren't there this year yet) I think his power should still be near the top but i do remember lowering him significantly myself in certain areas when i did my own ratings back on version 1. I also remember boosting Cano significantly. (i used to despise cano, he's really come around the last 2 years and made me a believer)

Either way, i trust you probably made the adjusted the ratings closer to their real life counterparts better than i ever could of anyways (just going by your fantasy draft thing i already know your quite objective in regards to your overall knowledge of ALL the players in the MLB) I don't know too much about other teams..but i know my yanks.

The NFL on the other hand...fantasy draft all day! why can't madden be as good as the show..jeez, even if we could just upload madden rosters...it seriously brings me close to tears just thinking about it lol..

Anyways, Thanks for everything Ja, Knight, Strut, & Co., As great as this game already is, this roster set is really what keeps me playing this game.

Ja I will hollerr at you tomorrow but I will see what anyone thinks of a couple questionable players that I saw before hitting the sheets and getting this done tomorrow (hopefully)...

BoSox fans...McDonald...how has he looked? looked below-average in cincy in '09 but his stats look decent in limited action for you guys...Mike Lowell...done? Cameron...hurt? done? and what about this Daniel Nava kid?...has only 27 at bats but has been hot...Beltre? .336...are you serious? is Ramon R. Ramirez starting in the minors? or is he a reliever now? I am sort of confused by some of the stamina ratings...figured some would play a part from this season...Beckett is a 96? I'll have more for you tomorrow...keep the questions/suggestions coming...

Leave the stamina ratings as they are for now. If we do anything with them it's going to be a full overhaul to the roster tool ones in a separate version if someone wants to make it.

Playing at all star level, I'd like to know what sliders I shoud use with OSFM V4 once they'll be out. I'd like to start my franchise as soon as they're available. Thanks for your advices.
