MLB 10 News Post

V.3 is finished and is currently up on SportsConnect under the name of "strut24v3done". Please remember to vote thumbs up to the file when you download, so any impostor files aren't mistaken.

This version has everything in v.2 PLUS RAZR's pitch and stamina edits and strut24's stance/delivery updates. ALL stances/motions are done as of June 11. Anyone called up after that, has not been added yet but will be added to my IN SEASON thread. So guys like Joe Martinez, Enrique Gonzalez, Daniel Nava, Justin Ruggiano etc have NOT been done yet. Here is the link to the In Season thread: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-rosters.html

Here is a Word document of all the changes that strut did to the rosters: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ml24bf

What is going on with the file now, you ask? JaSnake is working on v4, which will include updates to the stock SCEA players to update current real life performance. There is no ETA at this time for that file.

Here is HustlinOwl's Franchise File, which is for users that want a 30 team user controlled franchise file: http://www.mediafire.com/?okncwnj2wnm

Here are RAZR's slider suggestions for these rosters. These sliders may help users who are having issues with USER VS CPU IN GAME stamina.

Quote:
For those who don't mind changing sliders use these for what I believe to be the fullest experience of the stamina edits

USER
Pitch control 1
Consistency 7

CPU
Control 5
Consistency 3
Strike Frequency 0
Manager Hook 4

and
Starter Stamina 5
Reliever Stamina 0 for both user and cpu

For those that prefer to stick as close as possible to default use these suggestions that SoxFan posted

Starter Stamina (User): 6
Reliever Stamina (User): 3

Starter Stamina (CPU): 7
Reliever Stamina (CPU): 5 (default)
Manager Hook (CPU): 3

Just a heads up, for some reason 1B Mike Lamb was not included on the Marlins roster in version 3. He was in the prior versions and has spent most of the year at the MLB level.

According to RosterTools on weighted ratings, Adrian Gonzalez will be Contact vs. LHP at 68 and Power vs. LHP at 62. What is he to begin with?

His CvRHP/PvRHP numbers are 81/83.

Hey JA,

How do the Rockies look -- in terms of lineup and pitching rotation?

Who got bumps, who got knocked down and what's the order of the rotation after Ubaldo?

Thanks!

Go to the roster tools thread. It tells you exactly how to use them.

Updating my recent post on Adrian Gonzalez: his stats right out of the box against lefties is Contact at 46 and power at 66. Using the RosterTools, Adrian's Contact vs Lefties improves by 22 while his power decreases by 4 (but like Ja said, it makes it more realistic; it's still pretty high against lefties). So he will receive a bump for hitting better against lefties.

Comparing Gonzalez against lefties vs. other left-handed hitters vs. lefties in the league (remember this is a weighted rating based on the past three seasons):
K. Johnson - 94
Mauer - 88
Morneau - 84
Damon - 80
Utley - 80
Ad. LaRoche - 76
Pierre - 75
C. Gonzalez - 73
Votto - 70
Ethier - 69
DeJesus - 67
A. Gonzalez - 66
Helton - 66
Ibanez - 66
Coghlan - 64
Fielder - 64
Huff - 62
Dunn - 60
Matsui - 60
Rasmus - 56
McCann - 55
G. Jones - 54
Abreu - 50
J.D. Drew - 49
Ellsbury - 48
Heyward - 47
Bruce - 46
Hawpe - 46
Ortiz - 43
Fukudome - 40
Scott - 39
Howard - 38
Bourn - 36
Granderson - 36
S. Drew - 33
Hafner - 33
Branyan - 27

Yeah but how big a bump, I dont think he (or any lefty ) can keep that pace for all year. 68 / 62 sounds pretty good to me.

What are the best sliders to use for this roster set?

# 173 Integ @ 06/16/10 09:11 PM
Nick Masset throws upwards to 97, he no longer has a 4sm? I'm afraid that turned me off to these edits quickly.

thanks for the effort though. I'm sure less picky people will really enjoy these.

I used the slider suggestions on page one for the user and man my pitcher was all over the place!

Ja, I meant since he was 46 out of the box and will improve by 22 (in that case, there's his bump). I hope that makes sense.

A fastball that moves like that is a running fastball in The Show. Also, a guy that averages 94 MPH is expected to touch 97.

Is there an ETA to V4 yet?

Roster is set to Opening Day rosters, but thanks for posting these. It still helps the guys who want to update their own rosters to current.
