Man I can't win **** on default all-star. Anyone got some good realistic sliders? Because I'm getting beyond frustrated.

Sporty, I've got to give you props on the camera angle suggestion. I'm using Baseline High with it zoomed back and height elevated to the max and I really like the look and feel. Nice change of pace from Broadcast.

Played a couple of games today and the phantom double team issue didn't happen, which was good. The Bulls jacked up a lot of shots early in the shot clock (1 pass and chuck) in my rewind game with the Kings. Miller took a 2 fadeaway 3's too, which was a little annoying. Game was still fun, even though I lost. I scored 18 with Greene and 16 with Tyreke Evans in the 1st half but the 2 rarely played in the 2nd half, which was disappointing.

I feel like I have to use auto subs b/c trying to do it manually takes WAY TOO LONG. NCAA has a system similar to CH 2k8 where you just move the stick left or right to sub a guy in. I don't get why the interface is so clunky in this game.

To close, Sporty I'm with about the 2nd patch. I'll be very happy when it drops. I am starting up a Dynasty with the Kings to see if I can build them back up into a contender.

Ditto! I've had that goal tending thing for the first time last night, it wasn't a overtime game, but I did see where they didn't give the 2 points to the Nuggets.

Overall that is the only thing, I've seen that's messed up Post Patch, everything else is good.

Dear NBA Live Development Team Member,

There is one thing that burns my oil.

EA, arbitarily hijacking a user's control of his player is absolutely unacceptable.

If Im being double teamed, and I want to off ball a open slasher type player to cut to the rim, I expect my player to at least attempt the pass, when I tell him to...not randomly chuck up a shot.

Ive also seen this happen when I attempt to pass to a guy spotting up.

This happens to me about 2-3 times a game.

I understand what you were trying to accomplish.

But as usual, instead of taking into account sensible variables to make things more difficult to do, you instead decided to jack up the AI.

I dont care if the pass gets deflected, or if he throws it out of bounds because of the double team pressure, throws it at the defenders feet because he is a crap passer.. whatever. I'd actually WELCOME those things, because those things make sense in the context of a basketball game

But when I tell my guy to pass the ball, I expect him to ATTEMPT a pass...not for my command to be overridden.

Okay...now for the good. The more DNA we are getting...the better Dynamic Season is getting

yep, happens to me when I'm in control of player posting jump, then I take off-ball control of another to get him open to kick out. the post player now out of my control will continue to back down then throw up a shot.

Well, guys i really can't understand guys whining about the patch at all; i can't tell how much it improves the game in simulation wise.

I haven't encountered with thE OT bug; i know that's a big problem all right but other than that, this patch feels just right with all the new dna updates.

And for those complaning about the sucking contact animation in the paint, that's how the nba plays guys cmoon now, if you want paint to be owned easily then go play the ''other game'', but if you want some chest to chest real life nba excitement, you gotta learn to how to play, i can get into paint guys like Jamal Crawford, or D.Rose or D. Will, when you got it right, you'll get your easy bucket, if you just think you can go inside and get an easy one, that's not the game for you, i don't wanna flare anything, that's how it is, there are guys here just do injustice to the game and the patch.

I really would The Ea Devs to hear me out, again i have told this before the 1st patch arrived, please keep on the same route with this game and the followings; just don't make things easy just for people like it to be please.

Keep up the good work, thanks for this game.

I finally downloaded that "big roster update" after not touching Live for nearly two weeks (and trying to sell it on ebay lol), I played Knicks/Lakers on default Pro and was impressed, it seemed really improved. I noticed that tons of stuff was finally changed in the DNA, and many tendencies were as well. I didn't see the CPU do anything ******** on offense - I mean nothing, the Lakers played extremely realistic outside of the lack of fastbreaks. Kobe was shooting fadeaways, leaners, attacking the rim, Bynum and Gasol were scoring in the areas of the court they should be, etc. No stretch of quick, bad shots. No randomly barreling into my defense in the lane for bad contact animations, no fadeaways from 20' by Bynum.

I need to see how other teams play but I gotta say that I'm impressed after using this update. Anyone else seeing a big improvement after this update?

I'm with you. I love the flow of the game and am having a great time with my Wiz on dynamic season. Great job EA!

Vechi, you're the only reason I even put in Live tonight, thanks for the heads up in the NCAA '10 forum about the update and improved play. I mean the Knicks/Lakers game I played blew the pants off anything I've seen in NCAA '10 so far. It was beautiful basketball, all of the idiotic CPU weirdness on offense was no where to be found.

It will be interesting to see what Patch 2 brings to the table. It may take this game two and a half months to get to its peak but it could be a helluva game by then. It's also sad that it took so long for the DNA to be corrected and that so many people have given up on this game. EA either needs to release this game mid-November or really tweak their DNA so it's not royally effed up when the game comes out in early October.

Dammit ehh! You're making me want to go out and pick this up again. I sold it for NCAA the other day and I'm liking the game except for the CPU's lack of variety when it passes in the post. I may have to pick this up for the ps3 tomorrow.

True. I'm gonna give ncaa some time to work itself out cause it will, and enjoy this. I had an awesome game against Atlanta, jumped out 18-3, they would tie it, I'd open up 12 point leads, then they kicked my a__ in the end. Best a__ kicking that I've ever had. Hard to criticize anything that I saw in terms of gameplay, stats were about dead on

If you can wait until Friday and get it at BB for $35 or you can get it at Target for $45. I feeling the same way only difference I am enjoying the heck out of NCAA 10. I was hoping Live 10 would get back into the action.

Haha, just wait a little bit man. I'll be honest with you, give me a week or so to make sure that I'm not seeing/imagining things. Let me check out more than just the Lakeshow too, since they're the most popular team in the league they may be getting some special treatment from EA.

Kobe finished with 44 against me, neither Bynum or Gasol took a shot outside of 15', Ron Ron didn't do much on O cept his usual random jacked jumper here and there and garbage bucket. I assume this is what EA had in mind with the DNA.

And NCAA is rough with the post play, just can't play a game long term with that type of issue.

Yeah for real, I mean I was ripping this game 8-10 days ago. I had had enough with the ******** DNA, lack of true DNA and ratings updates and bizzarre nonsense from the CPU offense. That stuff seems to all be in order now and the one game I played was friggen awesome.

Nah, not given up just yet but depending on how much this improved DNA and patch 2 improve Live there may be no reason to play NCAA. There is no doubt that visually it's way behind. Playing Live again after two dozen NCAA games, damn the game just looks beautiful. The motion offense stuff is really cool but the playbooks are also awesome in Live so that's a wash.

The issue of not passing out of the post just cripples NCAA because so many motion offenses obviously have post touches but players frequently pass out of the post IRL. That doesn't happen in NCAA, if there's a motion where the first or second pass goes into the post the guy always shoots it and completely kills the CPU's offense - esp when it's not a high scorer/good player who should be taking a lot of shots. This is no where near as big of an issue as in Live.

The other huge thing is the layup solutions, they are so much prettier in Live. NCAA has some real brutal ones but that is probably on purpose since college kids don't finish in traffic anywhere near as well as pros.

I'm waiting to hear on news regarding a patch, if EA isn't going to patch the game then there's really no reason to keep it even if you are a huuuuuuuuge college basketball fan IMO unless you hate 2K8. You just can't play a game with such a glaring issue (not passing out of the post) long term.

Don't mean to jump in but I've played a ton of NCAA and I have to say Live's ai plays a lot more realistic than ncaa. But it is early!! The motion o is awesome but I love the r1 botton in live to get a guy off of screen, very similar

In part because EA's attention to detail in the game is poor, especially with the ratings.

It definitely has a college feel though, you have to play team ball or you'll be in trouble for the most part. If they could correct the CPU's offense with the passing out of the post then I'll keep the game and enjoy it, it does enough things well and I'm a college basketball nut. If EA doesn't fix it then there's no reason for me to keep it.
